The cards will be going for $390 USD each. They cost $409 USD on NewEgg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202088

46  Economy / Service Discussion / BitInstant Stole My Money on: June 08, 2013, 03:17:33 PM
Hi,

Just to make everyone  is aware Bitinstant  has literally outright stole funds from MtGox during a withdrawl .

I have tried patiently to get a response from their support for over 1 month now. I think it is save to assume that I am simply being ignored. Please do not use their service unless you want to risk losing your money when something goes wrong with their system.

I was not aware of their reputation until I recently started searching the forums.

47  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 3 Gigabyte HD 5870's (Reduced) on: November 06, 2012, 04:00:41 AM
HI Guys,

Sold my previous rig on the forums. Now selling 3 Gigabyte HD 5870's from another rig. I am able to get  at stock about 380 mh/s, when i simple increase the clocks via aticonfig i easily get up to 440 mh/s .

I am looking for $100  SH (or BTC equivalent)

Selling these cards since the increase in difficulty rating and the current returns when taking in the cost for electricity is not very feasible. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have had two successful transactions on the forums before. The most recent can be seen here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=105538.0

49  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS]Slighty Broken GPU's | 5870| 2*6950 on: September 15, 2012, 03:33:19 PM
Hi guys,

I have a few GPU's that are partially working and require minor fixes. Please see below for a description of the problems.

PM/Post me your reasonable offers.

1 XFX 6950  -- Being RMA by XFX

Currently boots and runs. The fan only squeaks very loudly. Sent it in before to get the fan replaced. The fan would more than likely need to be replaced.

2 XFX 6950 -- Being RMA by XFX

Stopped minning. Currently spins up to a black screen occassionally

3.  Gigabyte 5870

Detected by OS. If i try to mine with the card pocblm does not detect the card along with all other cards. If i remove this single card pocblm detects the other cards.

Have not been able to mine with this 5870 at all since it prevents pocblm to detect all other cards including itself even though it shows up in sticonfig --list-adapters.

*5870 is still available

Edit: Update cards being fixed by XFX

52  Bitcoin / Mining / Phoenix/ATI High CPU Utilization on: January 23, 2012, 07:31:36 AM
I recently did a fresh install. However I noticed that my CPU goes up to 100 % when i start one instance of phoenix( 1 GPU).

--Ubuntu/Natty
--8GB(had some ram laying around)
-- AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Processor
--AMD-APP-SDK-v2.4-lnx64
--ati-driver-installer-11-12-x86.x86_64
--Phoenix 1.7.4
--Parameters used with phoenix  -k phatk DEVICE=0 VECTORS BFI_INT AGGRESSION=14 WORKSIZE=256
--4 * 5870

Has any one else had/ seen this issue before. I thought the high cpu utilization was for windows only and it had been resolved ?

Please make any suggestions. Right now the CPU is a bottleneck and is limiting the hashrate of the cards , since its practically pegged when 1 instance of phoenix is started.

54  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Bitcoin Server & phoenix/poclbm on: October 16, 2011, 03:42:24 AM
Hi Guys,

So I got a new card, decided to try one at solo mining while the rest work with a pool. However what I noticed that

when pool mining the card gets 350 Mh/s , when I use local bitcond server  i only get 1.7 Mh/s.

Does anyone know why this happens ?

59  Other / Beginners & Help / 32 CPUs * 2.4 GHZ Xeon E7340 Pool or solo minning on: June 28, 2011, 01:04:15 AM
Hi guys,

Would just like a little advice, I am relatively new to bitcoin, I have been hearing about it for awhile but have decided to jump in.

I currently have two servers that total 32 CPUS* 2.4GHx Xeon E7340.  Would you suggest solo minning or pool minning ? Which would prove to be the more efficient interms of obtaining bitcoins ?

Looking forward to your comments
