1  Economy / Service Discussion / Localbitcoins now requires identification on: May 06, 2018, 08:07:11 AM
So we all knew that LBC was already going down the path of forced verification for advertisers, and they made the move that all advertisers will have to verify themselves before they can trade back in January.. And then later there was a warning for all people who had a high trade volume and "recommended" that they verify their identity. But I never expected them to actually restrict somewhat high volume traders so fast, since I was greeted with this message:

You need to verify your identity before you can continue trading. Proceed to verify your identity

I mean, you could still create new accounts and trade from them anonymously, but it's a tedious process to go through email and phone verification all the time. And a lot of offers won't be available to you because of the fact that you can't consistently trade up for a good reputation.

Time to move to a new p2p trading platform?
2  Economy / Services / Looking for custom portfolio on: November 19, 2017, 07:33:15 AM
Hi there everyone,

I'm a regular user of blockfolio/altpocket but i feel like the functionality is quite limited because i am unable to track my precious metals investment to be included in my portfolio. In altpocket's case, i can't even track fiat currencies let alone gold/silver.

I basically need something that can track the past performance of my portfolio, show gains and losses, reflect portfolio value in real time, basically everything that blockfolio does, except with support for a select few fiat currencies and gold/silver.

I don't know if i'm asking too much at this stage, but PM me with a quote if you can do this. My budget isn't going to be sky high. Spreadsheet/website, anything is fine. As long as it functions and works.

4  Economy / Scam Accusations / jhong03 spreading phishing links on: November 11, 2017, 12:43:06 AM
User jhong03(;u=1041989) sent me this PM:

hi magneto

i've replied to you:

(link doesn't work because i dont want anyone to get phished).

Essentially the page told me to enter in my password and my session was expired, to phish for my password. Was about to enter my password before realising that this was a phishing site. Please neg this user and be careful with any PM links.
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Fake ERC20 token on: October 30, 2017, 10:10:36 AM
What happened:: User YassinBTC tried to scam me with fake collateral.

Scammers Profile Link:;u=1026869

Reference Link:
Amount Scammed: none but attempted to scam 0.33 BTC
Payment Method: BTC
Proof of Payment: N/A but here's the fake token transfer:
PM/Chat Logs: will provide if really needed but it's an obvious case and since all communications are done on phone, not bothered to screenshot right now
Additional Notes: Be careful with these fake ERC20 tokens used as collateral. Should be easy to spot though.
6  Other / Meta / spamming topics all across the forum on: September 13, 2017, 10:45:47 AM
User in question:;u=1047112;sa=showPosts

Looking at his recent post history he is essentially advertising his business all over the forum. Whilst this alone is not harmful, the sheer amount of replicated and duplicated threads containing the same information, posting in different sections is unacceptable.

It does make it seem desperate that he wants customers as well, and doesn't make him seem trustworthy Roll Eyes

Anyways, does he deserve a ban?

8  Economy / Currency exchange / [H]BTC [W]Trusted paypal 1:1 preev f&f on: July 16, 2017, 11:19:29 PM
As title says i am looking for trusted paypal funds. Only trusted members, do not bother if you do not have trades from at least 200 days prior without any issues afterwards. I can send first if you have a very good history and rep, otherwise you send first/arrange escrow.

You must send funds as f&f. Preev rates 1:1. I can buy up to $100 at once or have smaller trades.

PM or post here, thank you

EDIT: No longer needed. Thank you.
9  Economy / Economics / Housing bubble in Australia on: June 14, 2017, 07:02:10 AM
As we all know it's getting more and more expensive to buy a house, and the rate of growth currently associated with investing in a house is just phenomenal, and obviously too good to not be a bubble. We all know that. However, WHEN will this bubble pop?

More and more houses are being built but the demand for it just continues to go up. And many houses are bought and just left to sit there, not even rented out, fueling the problem further because investors just want a safe and profitable investment.

What do you think the governments can do to avoid this? Put a limit on houses per person? Your opinions?
10  Economy / Currency exchange / Have $20 Payza want Bitcoin on: June 11, 2017, 10:57:06 PM
Hey all!

I currently have $21.05 in my payza balance that i want to exchange into bitcoins. I'll pay the payza fee so when the funds actually hit your account it'll be somewhere around $20 minimum, perhaps even more.

Looking for a quick and smooth deal here. I don't mind paying a premium but please don't give me a heart attack with your percentage Wink

Please PM me asap if you are interested. If you have higher rep than me i'll send first, otherwise we use an escrow or you send first.

Thank you!
11  Economy / Currency exchange / WTS 1.5g gold in goldmoney on: June 07, 2017, 05:53:18 AM
As title says, i have 1.5 grams of gold in gold money currently.

0.5+g is in the Toronto vault whilst almost 1g is in the Dubai vault.

All of the gold is obtained through either bitcoin purchases or p2p trades with other bitcoin users. Proof of the source of funds can be shown upon request. I'm looking for offers of at least 70% currently.

Escrow is accepted or you send first.

Thanks and please PM me for a quick deal.
12  Economy / Digital goods / WTS monero backup mnemonics on: May 24, 2017, 06:31:12 AM
I'd like to sell a monero mnemonic that you can import into your wallet(although i don't know how to use it thus the reason why i'm selling it).

It contains 0.4+ XMR in its balance.

At current monero prices i would be happy to sell it for 0.006 BTC. Market price is more than 0.0085 i believe so a great way to get your hands on some cheap XMR(even though it might not be much).

I'll send first if you are trusted but otherwise we use escrow and you pay the fees.

13  Economy / Service Discussion / Xapo starting to charge outgoing transaction fees on: May 17, 2017, 06:14:51 AM

We have an important announcement about your Xapo account that will affect you - so please read!

In the next couple of days, all Xapo users will begin to pay the miners fee themselves in order to send transactions out of Xapo.

No portion of this fee goes to Xapo, it is simply the fee that needs to be paid to miners in order for an outgoing transaction to be processed via the bitcoin network! This fee will be dynamically calculated based on the current network conditions and will be paid by you at the time of the transaction.

Due to the increase in transaction volume of the bitcoin network, we'd like to give our users some control over their transactions. That being said, Xapo will give you the ability to select which type of fee you'd like to pay - a standard or high priority fee - thus allowing you to choose how quickly you'd like for your transaction to be processed!

Please keep in mind that this will apply to outgoing transactions that touch the blockchain, but all Xapo to Xapo payments will still be free of charge!

Thanks for your understanding,
The Xapo Team

This is an email that I received from Xapo saying that from the next couple of days I cannot send transactions without any fee...

Do you agree with their decision? I personally believe that a big part of their business was from people wanting to do a lot of micropayments, because coinbase, coinjar and other online wallet giants have added fees and they were the only ones left yet to add a fee. But obviously that probably hurt them a lot and set them back on a lot of extra income as transaction fees skyrockets.

Your thoughts?
14  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB $20 Paypal 1:1 preev rates, I have BTC on: May 14, 2017, 12:16:36 AM
Title says all, I want to buy $20 Paypal from a reputable member(don't bother if you are not trusted) at preev rates 1:1. You cover the paypal fees.

I can send first if you are trusted. If not we could use escrow but it doesn't really make sense for such a low amount.

PM me ASAP!!! Need this done fast.
15  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB Goldmoney grams on: May 03, 2017, 09:53:10 AM
As the title says I'm looking to buy Goldmoney.

Willing to pay 75-85% of the value of your gold which is one of the best offers on this forum currently for goldmoney, depending on the vault the gold is situated in as well as the source of funds. Also your reputation on the forum will be taken into consideration, eg the more rep you have on this forum the higher rate you get because there is a lower chance of chargeback or fraud for me.

PM me with your offers, currently only able to buy up to 0.03 BTC at one time but later might increase this limit.

You have to show me the source of the gold by taking a screenshot from your goldmoney account.

Shoot me a PM, looking forward to trading with y'all.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Experiences with goldmoney? on: April 12, 2017, 11:53:53 PM
I've recently came across the site goldmoney.

Seems like a great idea to me, as it enables users to send literal gold to users all across the world.

However obviously there is a risk of chargebacks. Is there anyone that has enough experience with goldmoney that can tell me is there a vault that is more secure than others? Would it be safe to accept trades for goldmoney from anyone or should i only trade with reputable members? Please let me know.
