2  Other / MultiBit / Transaction not executed after +24h (with .0001 fee) on: March 07, 2016, 12:29:07 AM
29 hours ago I sent some BTCs to poloniex. Normally my wallet says view by 6 peers in no time, but yesterday it only was seen by 1 peer.

When I see the transaction in my wallet, it appears as view by 3 peers and the status is non confirmed. The fee was 0.0001 BTC. The blockchain.info and blockchain explorer says transaction not found...

Where is the trasaction? Will it come back to my wallet, or will it arrive to poloniex?, Do you have an idea of what has happen? It is possible that just dissapear in the hyperspace?. Thank you so much

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / On brainstorming bitcoin to achieve mass adoption (every bit counts) on: January 16, 2015, 06:18:25 PM
Originally writed this post in the wall observer, but I think the whole idea can work better as a separated post. Also the wall observer is full of trollnoise.

Ok, we need this guys engaging with BTC to achieve the mass adoption. Also sony, xbox and whatever technology you can imagine of. Letīs launch ideas, donīt mind if it seems improbable or absurd, just launch it to the table. Maybe it can make click in the mind of other reader and connect the dots. This is how brainstorming works

Idea no 1: Generate a kickstarter campaign to develop a game that uses cryptos, ala Crypto Kingdom, but in a more engaging/graphical/action/mainstream/3D fashion. Real BTC/crypto is involved in the game. You can win real money if you are a good player. What could possibly be the mechanics of the game?
5  Other / Off-topic / Is Satoshi lurking de incognito in this forum? on: May 11, 2014, 04:16:43 PM
If I were him, most probably I would read this forum and even participate here de incognito. In fact, Iīm mostly sure he is between us, looking astonished how his baby evolves out of his control.

Time to use the collective intelligence. Letīs catch him!
6  Economy / Speculation / Exchanges decoupled price on: May 03, 2014, 05:58:58 PM
Im seeing the price is decoupled since 7-14 days at least, normally +20USD in bitstamp. From a somehow newbie point of view, I see it as a potential bad sign, reminds me somehow the MtGox decline, but Im not sure how to read it and I guess it could be related to the Chinese news.

Could you explain whatīs happening and share some light about possible consecuences for the BTC economy?. Why the traders are not arbitraging it fast for profit?
7  Economy / Speculation / Second generation crypto fight on: April 03, 2014, 07:26:29 PM
I know this thread could be located @ altcoins, but I prefer to open it here for two reasons, the first one is because it deals with speculation, and the second one because Alt room itīs a mess of people bulling his crappycryptos.

I have been looking at the 2nd generation ones, some of them could be a good long time contenders. ATM I only hodl BTC and some shitty doges that Iīll sell when I can, but the more I read about Nxt, Peercoin, Mastercoin, Namecoin and Ripple, the more suggesting they appear.

As long as I'm quite newbie in this gardens, I would like to listen to more educated and *unbiased* opinions regarding that ones or another second generation that could be a good contender.

Aditionally, do you think some of that ones could eventually surpass BTC?. Do you think BTC could evolve to include PoS features, decentraliced exchanges, 51% protection and all the new jazz?

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Ebay + paypal: aware food for the scammers on: April 01, 2014, 12:04:10 AM
Today I have sell 0.1BTC in ebay. The user "redstar7474" has buy it with paypal. I have sended the 0.1 to her.

Later, ebay has sended me this message:

MC999 eBay listings removed - unauthorized user of buyer or bidder account

Hello XXX,
We recently learned that someone was using an account to bid on or buy items without the account owner's permission. All associated fees have been credited to your account. Please note that we're working with the account owner to prevent any additional unauthorized activity.

Your listings may be eligible for relisting through My eBay. If your listing is eligible, you'll see it in your "Unsold" section in My eBay. Listings that aren't eligible for relisting won't appear in the "Unsold" section.

We're sorry for any inconvenience, and we thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Here are the listings that were canceled:
201064162400 - 0.1 BTC Bitcoin

Thanks,

eBay

Please don't reply to this message. It was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming email."

So they had take me off my earnings and I have lost the 0.1BTC. Which seems totally unfair, as if it has been really hacked, itīs the fault of the hacked person for not protecting her account and password.

The bitcoin adress of the scammer is 182qjk5U49nsYxGQk4HGMCTad8gNRY5QZL

Probably he/she will be using differents adresses, anyway I post this info here for the records. Beware of the bloody scammers  and NEVER, NEVER use paypal in this context.

I hope at least my mistake can help others.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The wikipedia entry for "Bitcoin" is so bearish... on: March 28, 2014, 07:12:36 PM
Just to taste the general flavour of the whole entry:

Quote
According to economists, to qualify as money something must be a store of value, a medium of exchange, and a unit of account.[71] Bitcoins cannot be considered money because they don't hold all three properties.[71]

Quote
Economist John Quiggin stated, "bitcoins will attain their true value of zero sooner or later, but it is impossible to say when."[87] In 2013, Bank of America FX and Rate Strategist David Woo forecast a maximum fair value per bitcoin of $1,300.[98] Bitcoin investor Cameron Winklevoss stated in 2013 that the "bull case scenario for bitcoin is... 40,000 USD a coin".[99] In late 2013, finance professor Mark Williams forecast a bitcoin would be worth less than ten US dollars by July 2014.[100]

It has full blown bearish sections but almost no bit of objetive information about the positive strenghts of the divise.

12  Economy / Speculation / How can collapse of USD affect bitcoin? on: March 23, 2014, 02:19:33 PM
Hi all,

It seems collapse of USD in mathematically unavoidable, I wonder how could it affect bitcoin.

Guess there is going to be a massive dollar inflation wave, would this skyrocket the BTC value or would it collapse it too?
