Over the past few months we've worked to get the platform to a point where we feel it could be used. We're finally confident in it's infrastructure and feel it's ready to launch.

How we're setting the beta up is best practice.

Very simply enter your email and view the beta pages to learn a little about our service. Then go check your email to confirm you want to receive a beta invite. It's that simple, the platform will be open-beta. However, to mitigate risk we will be inviting people into it in waves to prevent mass issues on the first few days due to low resources and such.

Please watch your emails and expect an invite sometime in the near future.

http://FrozenB.it The trustless approach, you can trust.

We'll over the last few months I've been working on a project called FrozenBit. It's a trustless multi signature crypto-currency security platform > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=673533.0

Now the frozenbit is nearing completion I thought I'd share my second Idea with the community.

We'll I wanted to run by the community, which has greatly supported my last project, another project idea I had.

FrozenBytes [because once's it's uploaded it'll never go away] (Name can change don't get mad at this plz) A decentralized file sharing platform.

The goal is to create something like openbazaar but based on the mechanics of the pirate bay.

 ACQUISITION OF PLATFORM:

The platform will be downloaded and run like a qt wallet. Users will download the "blockchain" all the files currently uploaded. The wallet qt will not vary from other qt's except no currency will be used (CONTINUE READING BELOW TO SEE WHY). WILL ATTEMPT TO INTEGRATE PRIVACY TOOLS.

Alternatively other methods can be examined if file pool reaches extremely high levels.

FEATURES OF THE PLATFORM:

The platform will easily include upload and download. It'll also contain a search, and INSTEAD OF LINKS WHEN A FILE IS UPLOADED IT GENERATES WHAT IS EQUAL TO A TX HASH. This hash is what will be the "link" to the exact file. We could also integrate store front features and have a currency integrated. That way people can easily sell music and such for money. Effectively creating a way for people to profit off of their music/movies/ whatever via crypto currency.  (BASICALLY HAVE A LOCK PAGE AND SAY "SEND XXX CURRENCY TO ADDRESS", WHICH EFFECTIVELY WILL BE USERNAME)

JUST REALIZED THERE COULD ALSO BE METHODS TO MAKE IT HARDER TO PIRATE PAID FOR STUFF. We could entirely encode stuff with the tx. If a file has that tx byte or whatever still in it we could have stops in place to prevent it from being re-uploaded. A better system of creators protection (Blah blah blah fuck copyright... Don't care... These are ideas roll with it.)

Also to prevent people from downloading what is effectively 100% porn we could include previews for songs/images?

NOTE SAME STEPS CAN BE TAKEN WITH NON-PAID FILES

WALK ME THROUGH IT:

You'll start out by downloading the client, which I want to be available via mobile (an app would be preferred), windows, linux and mac

Next you'll allow the blockchain to sync

Once this is done you'll see your username (ADDRESS) and password (PRIVATE KEY) you'll use this to login. P.S. I just effectively made it theoretically impossible to hack accounts.

Next you'll want to upload something, so you'll see a tab saying upload. You'll click that it'll ask for info (keep in mind this is a bitcoin qt type client) about the file and you upload [only things like name, artist etc.]

It'll then ask you about making it paid, which you'll say yes because you worked hard on this song.

Then the file will upload and it'll generate a "Tx" which will be the link allowing you to share this file.

Since it's paid it'll have the send xxx to download lock over it.

NOW I'M A PERSON WHO WANT'S THIS FILE:

I'm buying from my favorite artist who's name is calvin and goes by the the address of 1satoshiscousinssitersunclesroommate . I heard he released a new song, and I want it.

I see his tx on his website is

 wowsuchcurrenymuchfilesharewow

I enter this into my client to find "To download file sent xxx frozenbyte coins to 1satosh............" (which remember is his username)

I then can download this song, I paid the artist and am starting an ecosystem all within it's self.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I ALSO NEED YOUR HELP! EVERYTHING HERE IS BASICALLY THEORETICAL AT THIS POINT, HOWEVER, I WILL BE UPDATING WHITE BLUEPRINTS AND DESIGNS ABOUT HOW IT WILL WORK/DESIGN.

See what we're all about at http://frozenb.it

Bitcoin's biggest problem has been how can someone fully secure their (BTC)bitcoin's? While there are decent solutions, there hasn't been a way to do this trustlessly. I'm proud to present our solution to this problem. FrozenBit, the first multisignature bitcoin wallet with a trustless approach.

    What is FrozenBit?

FrozenBit is a project that's goal is to connect users to the benefits of the multisignature wallet. We hope to achieve this by easily, and adequately educating users through experience about this feature. We're also a service who has been working to bring security to every crypto-currency transparently. We're interested in working with many developers on their crypto-currency to help develop intuitive solutions that connect enthusiast's to their currency.

We've worked on a full enterprise suite of features that we provide to user for free. This includes our as-merchant services (free). Our non-institutional products are as follows: proof of reserve, to verify and establish notorized trust and proof of solvency, RWES, to allow counter parties to hold currency trustlessly in a 1- of, 2- of, 3 of-, etc. wallet, watch only, a keyless way to manage you're bitcoin portfolio, and the referral program to incetivize the education of multisignature wallets.

    That's what FrozenBit is.

    FrozenBit in the news:

    Why FrozenBit:

Due to our unmatched suite of features for anyone to freely use. We offer a wide range of products to easily and completely secure and manage a bitcoin portfolio. This is done via our interactive management platform in you're account which can be created in seconds and is secured by time based 2fa.

We've coded transparently and provided all the code to the public to audit. Which means we've given all of our products right back to the community to innovate off of.

We've also encorporated our products along side other currencies, which means we're dedicated for a more secure crypto-world as a whole. Not just bitcoin, we're INVESTED Into the success and over-all experience of using crypto-currency.

    Key Features:

    • Multisignature wallets
    • 2FA
    • User controlled keys
    • The only MULTIPLATFORM bitcoin wallet
    • Trezor Key generation
    • Killer API
    • Referral Program
    • Real World Escrow Situations
    • Watch Only

    • Proof of reserve

    Multisignature Wallets:
Multisignature wallets are in essence the technology all financial institutions use today to secure client funds. Since bitcoin is a way to avoid banks, this is the perfect way to feel as secure as you would in a bank with bitcoin. Multisignature is an underlying protocol in bitcoin that allows 3 randomly connected people to form a trustless storage for their coins. Using encrypted keys called public keys, users enter 3 of these (or more) into bitcoin qt or some generator site like coinb.in.

This forms an address that starts with a 3, that no one person can send funds from. Instead this one person can initiate a transaction to give to other people who's keys are used to sign the wallet to spend. Depending on the setup, such as 2 of 3 that's how many users are required to sign then broadcast the transaction into the bitcoin network. Not only does this have trustless applications, this also allows multiple devices to generate a more secure coldstorage address with no single point of failure.

Likewise, with the release of the trezor we are experimenting with involving that device in the generation of keys. Simply plug in trezor and trezor will manage keys!

    2FA:
Like I previously noted we take our security seriously and accomplished this by incorporating features the community would ask for in a wallet. We refuse to compromise, and we refuse to hear about the next theft so we've mandated this key piece of preventative security. You're required to enter a SMS pin whenever you login, and attempt a withdrawal.

Your now able to have better security, transparency and liberty over your bitcoin portfolio. Did we mention you'll be able to use your trezor to login?

    User controlled keys:
Every wallet on FrozenBit is user generated. Meaning made in browser, without help from us. The only thing that is actually on the server when it comes time to spend funds is the encrypted public key. We learned from armory, and the community people don't like third parties, we'll we don't even like parties so we decided just not to attend that one and let you control your keys.

-This action can be verified over github on our open-source offline package. Meaning you can even generate your own coldstorages.

    Multiplatform Bitcoin Wallet:
We have 2 apps pending approval on mobile devices both apple, and android in which they allow users to completely control their funds even on the go. Stay tuned for the official approval announcement. Lets also not forget our powerful desktop application that will be completely offline that will allow users 100% easier access to bitcoin multisignature technology. This will be more geared towards our advanced users.

    HD Wallets (BIP 39)
Allowing many addresses in 1 wallet instead of 1 address, per 1 wallet.

    RWES:(REAL WORLD ESCROW SITUATIONS)
We are considering this something that will make FrozenBit entirely different from your ordinary run of the mill bitcoin wallet. Yeah we're multisig, but how can we expand bitcoin trust? How can we make a trustless system between random people?

RWES is here to solve that. By allowing 3 emails to be entered at registration and each email receiving a log-in that generates their key (1 of 3) that allows the initiation or signature for a transaction (2 of 3) from their joint address. This means people can finally hold money together without fear one signee will go rogue, because they no longer have the means to do it. This program acts as the first attempt at a fee-less escrow where the technicals are fully removed from the process. We are 100% uninvolved and this rely's 100% on the bitcoins protocol to work.

    Proof of Reserve:

The biggest issue among the Bitcoin economy, which is constantly stated as a something that could be it's downfall is trust. We've decided to create a solution to this issue. Proof of Reserve, think of this as a bank statement; except all your customers can see it.

Using this features creates a new OFFLINE address (coldstorage) that's multisignature. It also creates a corresponding page which is public and can be shared among customers to prove you own the address and funds. Customers can trust that address as being both issued by FrozenBit, and being owned by you or your company.

    Watch Only:
FrozenBit is a Bitcoin security platform. We feel you should be able to manage (view) all your holdings in one place. Watch only means you cannot spend funds from addresses added, but you are able to track and maintain these addresses.

    Referral Program:
The referral program acts like any other referral program does. When you invite a user onto site and they secure their bitcoins, the site pays you 0.05% of their deposited amount in bitcoin directly to your wallet. There is no minimum and very little referral verification time. We feel this is the best way to adept users into multisignature and entice you to avertise us to your friends and others you knowwho use bitcoin. We feel this is needed for people to want to spread Multisignature technology around to every user possible. Also, we have tools that allow you to track and verify how much you should be receiving in result of your referral actions.

STAY TUNED FOR OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE OF FROZENBIT; - TARGET MID SEPTEMBER. -

Also Reference a recent interview our CEO, Calvin. Interviewed by http://www.bitcoinegghead.com - Chris Emberely.
    Quote
"Considering Calvin, frozenbits CEO was someone who is on the front-line of bitcoin innovation I wanted to get his input on things surrounding this mysterious new feature people are just now talking about. I asked him to go on the record talking about his service, multisig in general and what he difference really is. He agreed.

CHRIS- "So Calvin thanks for agreeing for the interview, I'm quite inspired by a few of the related emails you sent me and thanks for the time explaining the concept of multisig."
CALVIN- "We'll thanks for having me do the interview, It's been quite the journey. Seeing someone begin interest in multisig and what we're trying to do is a sign frozenbits development is justified."

CHRIS- "I wanted to start off with something other than multisig. In regards to apple, how do you take this news?"
CALVIN- "Apple is creative, solid business plan and I think this is a calculated move they've been waiting for. I don't think I'd be far off from saying it both attracts a desirable demographic 18-25 years of age back into apple. It may also play into their new tone of "we're still cool and we like cool things." Like bicoin!
CHRIS- Insightful, Didn't think of that.

CHRIS- "I seen a tweet the other day from you to armory. They released their own multisig feature called lockboxes I believe. Seeing you congratulate them was an interesting move."
CALVIN- " I love armory, I personally use their wallet for cold storage. Nothing beats being in control of your own coins. This inspired me to strive to leave the customer in charge of their coins when designing frozenbits underlying protocol. So that tweet was out of genuine love for their service, and philosophy. Seeing them dive into multisig was wonderful, knowing that people are seeing advances and Armory out of all services is embracing is forthright."

CHRIS- "There is so many different services out there, what makes frozenbit so special."
CALVIN- "Lets forget about the multisignature difference for a minute, because I believe so many others are going to embrace it soon. Frozenbit is, and will always will be a company that learns from all those before it. We know people want to be in control of their coins, we know people want privacy, we know people don't want another mark managing a system where their coins could be at risk.
I can assure you and any hearing about us for the first time or a long time follower that this is not the case. We have a dedicated team who works long nights, to get this to market as fast a possible. Great relations with bitcoin users, enthusiasts and even just the code behind it.
CHRIS- "Nice outlook, what about features, bonuses and such?"
CALVIN- "Frozenbit is the goodie bad of features. We pulled out all the stops to dedicate ourselves to living bitcoin. We use the same encryption techniques the military does, we store coins and wallets offline and we assign a cryptographic footprint to every account to sign their transactions when spending funds. Now our greatest feature is out strive to go mobile, very few wallets are.
I can assure you this will be the easiest bitcoin platform you've ever used, simplicity, accessibility and security all in one platform. And friends, lets not forget about referring your friends and reaping rewards! We want everyone to be as protected as our users so we are PAYING out bonuses when you refer a user!"

CHRIS- "Now, there isn't that much about you out there when I was researching into your developments."
CALVIN- "Well I'm to Stanford university, I'm pursuing a masters in computer science and an MBA in risk management. Two things that make me keen and intrigued by bitcoin as a monetary system and it's underlying code. We're based in Palo alto, CA (Come visit us sometime, the coffee is on me) and there are 3 people working with me on this. We're a 100% self funded start-up, not one investor dollar is in this company we only answer to the people who love bitcoin and those who use our service.

CHRIS- "I may take you up on the coffee. Thanks for the interview, I think that about sums up everything I wanted to personally ask you!"
CALVIN- "Hey it's no problem. Like I said earlier thanks for doing this, bitcoin holds a lot of things that truly make it unique. I'm only one of the people unlocking those features and giving them to everyone equally.""

What People have been saying about multisig:

    Quote
"Multisignature protocol caught my eye when gox failed. As someone who lost about every bitcoin they had in gox it intrigued me.
I asked myself how so few people know about something so innovatively simple and built into bitcoins protocol. Multisig is the perfect marriage for bitcoin and security.
Instead of one key, there are essentially 3 keys (or more) attributed to bitcoin address. It requires 2 of 3 private keys to-agree-to spend funds, that means you could hold all 3 for added security or have an address where you and your friends each have a key." -Chris, BitcoinEggHead.com

    Quote
"Imagine a safe in a bank that needs two keys to unlock the safe at any time – the bank’s key and your personal key. Multisignature addresses capture the essence of this but without needing to be in the same place" - Thomas Kerin, Bitswap

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Come on guys!] Rant on underfunding of viable projects on: August 14, 2014, 02:29:50 PM
People say it, but ill say it again. Bitcoin is a community, however, recently I've noticed a theme. People are often missing the important innovative projects. I see things like etherum being funded but darkwallet, a project of a good supporter of the community runs dry until someone posts a rant like this.

I see the attractiveness of some of these projects, the promise of money. Do people realize that this way of moving forward won't change anything? These viable projects are often worth millions, look at bitgo. 12 million in funding due to their stellar team and wallet Tech. The money is deserved, however, this serves as an example of what and why funding can do for a project.

Simply look at some of these project's (will add more later on phone)
    • etherum
    • storj

These projects promise coins in return. Let's be honest most of these currencies won't amount to much (truth be told). I think we need to rethink how we decide projects to support. A lot of these projects are just hidden wealth, contributions go far.

A lot of these projects just resolve to VC. They shouldn't have to, they're often giving an amazing innovation to the community for free. Can't we show a little aptitude towards these projects?

I've talked to a lot of project owners. From the guys at darkwallet, bithalo, bitgo and so on... I know the difference funding can do to some of these projects. Remember trezor?

Adding more soon and adding links on phone atm
    Some viable projects;
    • Darkwallet
    • bither
    • armory

If you have a project please list it below with a link a description thanks.

To not seem like a douchebag I didn't list my teams project you can find its announcement in my signature

10  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-07-28] FrozenBit: Trustless Open Source Multisig, Multicoin..... on: July 29, 2014, 10:04:02 PM
     http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/frozenbit-trustless-open-source-multisig-multicoin-multiplatform-wallet/2014/07/27

    Quote
Fully securing our cryptocurrencies in a trustless manner has consistently been an ever-present problem. FrozenBit aims to solve this as the first open source multisignature / multicoin wallet via a trustless approach; with support to include Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Quarkcoin and Blackcoin. Moreover, they are attaining to do so by way of end-user simplicity.

The driving motivation behind FrozenBit is to create a wallet that has all the conveniences of a hot wallet, while at the same time providing the security of a cold storage wallet.

Calvin (FrozenBit Project Lead), summed it up this way:

“Thus allowing Bitcoin to expand from a technically efficient niche, to a more consumer accessible niche with “bank-like” features. But don’t worry technocrats, we still have features on the way that we feel you’ll enjoy.”

    CCN
    FrozenBit Key Features

2-of-3 Multisignature Wallet security. The truly great thing about this type of setup (aside from completely avoiding getting Gox’ed), is that not even the creators of FrozenBit can abscond with your bitcoins. In a nutshell, 2-of-3 multisig wallet security allows three completely separate public wallet addresses to form a unique trustless coin storage address that starts with a ’3′. One wallet address initiates the transaction, and one of the other two wallets signs the transaction into effect onto the Bitcoin network; avoiding a single point of failure. Interestingly, they are also experimenting with Trezor wallet key generation and management.

User-controlled wallet keys. In their greater wisdom, they’ve decided to make the in-browser generated wallet keys the sole responsibility of the end user. When initiating transactions, only the encrypted public key is on the server.

Heightened security. 24/7 wallet transaction monitoring is available. This action is verifiable via the FrozenBit offline package available on Github. Consequently, this also means you can generate dedicated cold storage wallets. Additionally, two-factor authorization (2FA) is required via an SMS pin whenever you attempt a coin withdrawal.

Multiplatform. The FrozenBit Dev Team currently has an Apple app and an Android app pending approval, as well as a completely offline desktop multisig wallet client for more advanced users.

Referral program. For more marketing-minded users, FrozenBit offers 0.005% referral commissions of referred coin deposits. There’s a 0.0002 BTC minimum payout threshold, paid directly to the referrer’s wallet.

Concerning FrozenBit privacy issues, Calvin had this to say:

“We are committed to privacy and wanted everyone to know we would rather move jurisdictions than submit user information.”

    FrozenBit Roadmap

These are a few of the exciting FrozenBit developments on the horizon:

HD Wallets. This feature will allow users to create multiple addresses in their FrozenBit wallet, instead of just one address per wallet.

Real-World Escrow Situations (RWES). Unlike FrozenBit’s multisig wallet predecessors, RWES will allow three emails entered at registration. Each email address would then receive a login that generates a unique key (1 of 3). in turn, transaction initiation would occur via one of keys sent to the other email addresses. This will allow people to pool money together without fear that one, or the other will abscond with the coins since they would no longer have the means to do it. In essence, they’re creating a no-fee escrow sans technicals headaches.

Watch Only mode. This will allow users to track their holdings in an unspendable manner.

Proof of Reserve. This is the equivalent of a publicly-viewable bank statement; except via a new offline (i.e. cold storage) multisignature address and corresponding public page which can be shared with customers to prove you own the address and funds.

Hello all! My name is calvin the Founder of FrozenBit. A soon - to - be Opensource and Multisignature "Anycoin" wallet.

    Read about us here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=673533.0

Some basic info about us so the community is on the same page.

We are an opensource, non-centralized bitcoin wallet. YOU and YOU only generate and manage keys on YOUR bitcoin wallet. We have mobile apps pending, and we're actively campaign for multisig awareness. Inclusively, Our wallets are all MULTISIG, which means it takes more than 1 key signing off to spend funds (better explinations on our thread).

Our team has worked pretty hard getting to where we are, and we need the communities help. I have a few questions to see if you guys could answer.

1.) What alt currencies would you like to see our service introduce as a multisignature wallet?
2.) "Would you like an API with that?"
3.) How many of you guys have trezors??*

*Our plan is to integrate trezor as soon as we can. The integration scheme will allow you to generate your keys FROM YOUR TREZOR.

I ask this because simply, we aren't you. We don't know what you want. Tell us.

     site is http://frozenb.it

     EDIT:

In order to provide quality to consumers we require this format in reply:

    1.) (Coin name) [Link] {Script used for coin}
    2.) Answer
3.) Yes you have one, or no.

First you should see what we're all about at: http://frozenbit.io

Bitcoin's biggest problem has been how can someone fully secure their (BTC)bitcoin's? While there are decent solutions, there hasn't been a way to do this trustlessly. I'm proud to present our solution to this problem. FrozenBit, the first multisignature bitcoin wallet with a trustless approach.

    What is FrozenBit?

FrozenBit is a project that's goal has been to equally allow all users from all experiences to dive right into bitcoin. This means we rid the technical's in an attempt to attract the masses who wish to try bitcoin. Like a study we've recently done where we sat a few people down and had them attempt to dive into multisignature bitcoin addresses by themselves, using only online help (Not us). They were unable to find a useful non-technical guide that worked with any kind of key they had. When they asked for help here on bitcoin talk, they we're ridiculed for being "unable to use search function" those technicals where just unapplealing for your everyday person. So this fits into our core goal, make multisig what is should be. Simple, Secure and Accessible. Thus allowing bitcoin to expand from a technically efficent niche, to a more consumer accessible niche with "bank-like" features. But don't worry technocrats, we still have features on the way that we feel you'll enjoy.

     That's what FrozenBit is.

    Why FrozenBit:

Besides our unmatched security through second factor authentication (2fa) and transparency provided by being open source frozenbit has many benefits.
The first of which is being multisignature, providing 2-of-3 sense of security. You can sleep well at night knowing no one, not even us can take your bitcoins.
Continuing on, in order to prevent a gox. like situation we place you solely responsible for your keys. We've also taken the liberty of adding 24/7 monitoring for the service, alerting you to any transactions. Making the service trustless and secure as a coldstorage while being as convient as a hot wallet.

    Key Features:
      • Multisignature wallets
      • 2FA
      • User controlled keys
      • The only MULTIPLATFORM bitcoin wallet
      • Trezor Key generation
      • Killer API
      • Referral Program
      • Real World Escrow Situations (Dev)
      • Watch Only (Dev)

      Referral Program:
The referral program acts like any other referral program does. When you invite a user onto site and they secure their bitcoins, the site pays you 0.05% of their deposited amount in bitcoin directly to your wallet. There is no minimum and very little referral verification time. We feel this is the best way to adept users into multisignature and entice you to advertise us to your friends and others you know who use bitcoin. We feel this is needed for people to want to spread Multisignature technology around to every user possible. Also, we have tools that allow you to track and verify how much you should be receiving in result of your referral actions.

      In Developement:
I would like to state right now that the site is constantly being innovated upon and is constantly being update with new features. Nothing is set in stone and we are not finished with design and user interface.

We have a plethora of features we want to roll out very soon.

       This Includes

HD Wallets: Allowing many addresses in 1 wallet instead of 1 address, per 1 wallet.

      Also

RWES: (REAL WORLD ESCROW SITUATIONS) We are considering this something that will make FrozenBit entirely different from your ordinary run of the mill bitcoin wallet.

      And

      Watch Only: Details coming soon.

STAY TUNED FOR OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE OF FROZENBIT; - TARGET MID JULY. -

Also Reference a recent interview our CEO, Calvin Partaken with bitcoinegghead's Chris Emberely.

"Multisignature protocol caught my eye when gox failed. As someone who lost about every bitcoin they had in gox it intrigued me.
I asked myself how so few people know about something so innovatively simple and built into bitcoins protocol. Multisig is the perfect marriage for bitcoin and security.
Instead of one key, there are essentially 3 keys (or more) attributed to bitcoin address. It requires 2 of 3 private keys to-agree-to spend funds, that means you could hold all 3 for added security or have an address where you and your friends each have a key." -Chris, BitcoinEggHead.com

"Imagine a safe in a bank that needs two keys to unlock the safe at any time – the bank’s key and your personal key. Multisignature addresses capture the essence of this but without needing to be in the same place" - Thomas Kerin, Bitswap

"Year of Multisig"- Gavin Andresen, Bitcoin Core Developer
