https://getpimp.org/pimp-rc10-updates/

See you on IRC miners! Come join the fun and mine some crypto!

ORIGINAL POST:

Hello miners! We have a lot to announce here, and we will keep it brief:

getPiMP.org is now an entire suite of crypto software products and services. Since we have a lot of things to offer the mining community we are no longer doing our work for free, but we think you will find our pricing model reasonable and affordable. You will be able to purchase PiMP using our secure website, using credit/debit payment via Paypal, and BTC via Coinbase.

PiMP Classic, the original PiMP mining platform, has been fully updated and enhanced with many new features. We now support Ethereum and other new algos, updates are working, and it’s easier to get support. We are also planning a PiMP nVidia edition, something we have wanted to do for years.
A brand new website, brand new miner.farm service, brand new PiMP! Come check us out: Stack your loot from head to boot!

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [ANN] PiMP 1.6.0 / 1.7.0 Released - FreshCoin, XMR support - PiMP II Preview! on: October 08, 2014, 02:14:04 AM
Hello everyone, Today the pimp team is proud to release our latest efforts to make mining easy and profitable.

PiMP 1.6.0 (32bit) and 1.7.0 (64 bit) are now available in all three relevant driver flavors (13.12, 14.6, 14.9).  Note that right now 14.6 provides the best performance on MOST algorithms and should be your goto installation, 13.12 is primarily for Scrypt / Scrypt-N GPU Miners, and 14.9 isn't optimized right now, so hashing is lower than on 14.6.

The big news is: True 64 bit is back, its still got the black screen bug that AMD really needs to fix. Claymores XMR miner is included in the /root folder, the xmr miner does not have a PM Profile due to not being based on cgminer or having an API, however work is in progress to provide a basic monitoring and auto start for this miner. for now you can use it / test it by stopping mining from pool manager, ssh into the rig and do the following:

cd /root/claymore-xmr-miner && screen -S claymore ./miner -o stratum+tcp://xmr-eu.dwarfpool.com:8050 -u MYMONEROADDRESS -p x -tt 75

NOTE: The XMR miner is available in 64 bit versions only. 64 bit will NOT work on every rig. it is up to you to figure out how to deal with the black screen issue should you have it, swapping card pcie position / removing cards is the only known remedy. GPU Compatibility for 32 bit is unchanged.

Check out the full Changelog here

Keep your eyes out for some RasPiMP Alpha and PiMP-Lite news coming soon Smiley

The last thing I'd like to say is that we need some alpha testers who can provide feedback on coming releases in a timely manner.  If you are interested in helping out, and like trying new things and helping find bugs, Come talk to us in #pimp on irc.freenode.net.

Enjoy!

Review By: Louis
I tried Hivos and for me it was very confusing with no real user guide to follow, and it seems you have to restart the rig twice in order for Hiveos to log you in. Also, I found using claymore dual miner it was difficult to configure using Hivos drop down menu and...

PiMP Community and Support is the Best

Best in class - with the most fun and helpful community.

The PiMP family, including founders, developers, support, beta testers, and large farmers, have been helping folks get mining for years.  They have seen, heard, and helped folks through amazing adventures.  But you have to be willing to listen to them, and not make assumptions.  Sometimes, its far easier and in the end, far more helpful, to simply double check and elimiate all assumptions cause the box something came in said X, Y, or Z... just check it, double check it, and realize if anyone can help you... this team of miners can help you pimp that rig into a stable and profitable rig.

The community is what gives you the edge in the end.  Not just a modern, reliable, uptodate, and continually patched and upgraded operating system... But a community that shares ideas, tunes, tweaks, bios changes, news, everything you need to mine effectively and efficently for months and years to come. We are made up of kids, professionals, hobbyists, everyone from all walks, working together to share tweaks, tunes, and information on the best pools, algorithms, miners, and more!
