I was trying to log-in here a few minutes ago, and found out that my freshly changed password didn't work anymore, while I used it to log-in yesterday without any problems.
Was there a system reset? I had to use the forgot your password option to set up a new one. Very weird.

I had to reset my computer yesterday while Bitcoin Core was running on the background, and after opening Bitcoin Core it told me there was something wrong with the blockchain. It said it was re-indexing blocks or something like that, but it was actually downloading the blockchain while the entire blockchain is where it always was..  What should I do now? |

I was wondering how do low priority transactions confirmation time gets calculated?
For example, if you have let's say 100 received inputs with each less than 10 confirmations and want to empty the wallet with just 1 output.
Usually you see : "Low priority" "will confirm within xx amount of blocks" But how can it be so certain about when the transaction will get confirmed within xx amount of blocks?
If you add 0.01BTC in fee, the priority is still low but it might get confirmed after just 1 block right? And if the fee is 0.0001BTC it might also be confirmed outside the quoted confirmation time frame?
It seems to me that the quoted confirmation time is a bit misleading. It just depends on which pool is going to grab the highest fee as first. Or am I wrong?

As the title states.
I have been browsing through the forum to find a solution but so far failed in doing so.
It takes nearly 15-20 minutes to open, it keeps saying checking blocks, but how many times will it check them??
The previous version took around 15 minutes to open, and current version takes even longer while it was quite fast when I installed it after the update release.
Full blockchain is on my windows 7 computer, and my computer has decent specs, nothing to worry about.
Are there any nodes that I need to add in order to get it working faster? Not sure what the problem is.
