1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / List of some altcoin / crypto trading web portals? on: July 04, 2015, 11:37:01 PM
Hi,

I would like to compile a list of altcoin / crypto trading web portals. That is, not just forums (i.e. bitcointalk, litecointalk, forum.gethashing, etc.) or general news portals (i.e. coindesk, newsbtc, ccn, etc.), but rather web portals that are specifically dedicated to altocins and/or crypto coins trading. Anybody knows of any such portal?

Thanks!
2  Bitcoin / Pools / Bitcoin pools PAYOUT rates experiment (real miners, table/graph results) on: May 12, 2015, 09:28:11 PM
Hi,

I'm running a small Bitcoin pools payouts experiment. The goal of this experiment is to compare pools by payouts from equal real hardware (5 SP-20 miners on different pools). Many miners are calculating their profit by:
  • counting on ideal luck Bitcoin mining (100% luck)
  • not taking into account PPS/PPLNS/etc. reward system
  • not taking into account pool performance, related to rejects, stale shares and lost shares
The idea of this experiment is to get real life results, with actual payout numbers. After all, at the end PAYOUTS are the only real parameter any miner should consider.
I also supplied payout addresses with payout history, so you can also check the frequency of payouts - there are some miners that prefer to be paid regularly and not count on non-PPS luck and variance.

More details and results form first week of testing is available here:

3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / fastest long-term wallet for thousands of accounts? on: November 02, 2014, 09:35:35 PM
Hi,

Reference bitcoin client get's very slow (eventually unusable, lagging and not responding) when one is using thousands of accounts and holds tens thousands of transactions made by those accounts. So which client/wallet do you recommend me for use in my java web application, which will have on-line bitcoin wallet and should support thousands of accounts and holds tens thousands of transactions made by those accounts (sending and receiving)? Which client/wallets are in use by popular exchange sites or mining pools with user accounts?

Thanks for tips!

Hi ... it's getting hot ... will you use air condition to cool down gpu's or will you try to "survive" with underclocking?
