I am sad to say it, but I no longer have the time to be active in the Digitalcoin project. I've always admired this coin and many of the people involved with it, and still feel that it has significant potential, but it really needs someone to spearhead development and advancement, and when that person or group gets behind this coin, it will go far.
In order to encourage involvement by someone with the desire to advance DGC, I am selling my entire stake in DGC as one lump sum totalling approximately 1.1M DGC or 4-5% of the current supply, for 40 BTC. As an added bonus, buyer will receive ownership of digitalcoin.org domain name and the @DigitalcoinORG twitter account, at no extra cost.
At present I am unwilling to sell less than the full amount, or negotiate on price, but may be willing to do so in the future so feel free to make any offers.
Price is subject to change based on significant moves in DGC/BTC/USD exchange rates.
Please PM or post here if you have any interest.

Been a verified Cryptsy customer for 2 years. Always have been patient with their slow withdrawals, but this last one has me baffled.
Did a withdrawal and confirmed it. Waited 4 hours and nothing. Shows confirmed but still pending. Submitted a ticket, and 7 hours later I get a message saying that the email I used on my ticket is not the same as the email address registered with Cryptsy so I had to resubmit the ticket.
I resubmitted the ticket, and got a response that they are experiencing delays, and their "technical support team" aware of the issue and working on a fix. This was nearly 24 hours ago, and still nothing.
I doubt this is a technical problem, but am reluctant to speculate on the real issue. Anyone have any thoughts?

Digitalcoin ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1127380.0 ) was originally created by baritus in May 2013. In December 2014 DGC V3 was released by xawksow and ahmed, lowering the block reward and implementing a triple algorithm system. Give your opinion of this project's future, and any pertinent details. Good or bad. Submit your responses here: https://forum.digitalcoin.co/threads/1756-Digitalcoin-(DGC)-Yes-or-No-Paying-0-2-BTC-for-Best-Answers! Yes - Digitalcoin has a future. Describe the possible evolution and potential success. No - Digitalcoin has no future. Detail your opinion of its inevitable demise. Is there a future for this coin? Is it just another shitcoin? What changes would interest you? Other coins are way better? Do something to make it great? Best "Yes - Digitalcoin has a future" and "No - Digitalcoin has no future" responses will receive 0.1 BTC each. Winner will be based on all of that user's posts advocating one position or the other cumulatively, not necessarily based on just one post, so elaborating or further defining your position increases your chance of winning. Decision will be made on August 30th. Funds in escrow with monbux. So let it rip and give your opinion. While all responses are appreciated, only those posted HERE are eligible for the payment. TT

This topic has been discussed with several people who agree that it's worth exploring further in a group environment.
I have always felt that the concept of the Digitalcoin Foundation is sound, but on occasion I have questioned the implementation. As a group we have had good times and bad, but there is no question that many good things have come about as a result of the efforts both collectively and individually.
Recently there have been some major changes within the Digitalcoin community, and from my perspective these changes have not been good in terms of productivity and relationships, therefore I feel it's time to regroup and reconsider the opportunities and possibilities that brought us all together in the first place.
I personally have no desire to be "the leader" and despite the opinions of others I never have. On the other hand I do very much wish to be an integral part of a solid organization that can withstand adversity and outlive individual members. An organization where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
"But we tried 'the foundation' and it didn't work out so well. Why would things be any different now?"
This is the question, and through several conversations I'm convinced that the question is worth further discussion. I have many ideas, and others may have much better ideas. I for one am very open to determining if and how we can make an organization - by any name - that can have a positive impact on Digitalcoin code developers, business developers, and the community of users.
The purpose of this thread is not to have this discussion, but to determine who would like to participate in the discussion. This is not a topic that should be hashed out in public, nor should it be restricted to certain individuals, therefore the discussion is open to any individual who expresses the desire to be a part of it.
Please let me know, through a post on this thread, PM, email, or whatever, if you want to participate in this discussion. Please do this quickly because once the discussion begins it will be closed to additional participants until some decisions are reached. The discussion will be held on a private forum and every effort will be made to conduct it in a professional, constructive manner.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Seems it took a while for Vircurex to update to Digitalcoin V3, a mandatory update, which they did in the beginning of February. Since then I have been unable to generate an address for my Digitalcoin account and continue to get a message: "Creating new addresses is currently not possible, please try again later." No luck contacting support.
Can anyone create a Digitalcoin address on Vircurex?
Anyone have any insight or suggestions?

Several of my acquaintances use IRC and are on IRC constantly. Many people I know use it very little, and when they do it's a "support chat" and they don't actually know it's IRC. Most of the people I know don't know what IRC is.
Wondering what others think. Do you use it? If so why?
Do you know about IRC and choose not to use it? Why not?
Have no idea what I'm talking about? That's okay too.

The Digitalcoin Foundation would like your opinion regarding block reward changes for the upcoming release of Digitalcoin V3.0. There are several improvements and new features in the works including a switch to multiple algorithms, multi-vPoW (restricted to specific coins), and other minor fixes and improvements. At this time the Foundation feels that block rewards should be considered and possibly changed for a number of reasons.
In keeping with our mission to keep Digitalcoin a coin for the community and by the community, we ask your opinion regarding block rewards.
The current reward is 15 DGC and a 40 second block rate. The switch to multiple algorithms will allow mining via SHA256, Scrypt, and X11, with each algorithm still targeting an overall 40 second block rate, and the hashrate on each algorithm will be used to adjust difficulty targeting across all three. While it would be possible to have different rewards for blocks found on different algorithms, the intention is to keep rewards the same across each algorithm.
To clarify, regardless of the multiple algorithms, the Digitalcoin block rate will still be 1 block every 40 seconds.
The question is: Should the 15 DGC reward every 40 seconds be changed, and if so, to what?
The Foundation values your opinion, and will take all opinions into consideration. Please take this opportunity to let the Foundation know what you think, and please elaborate by posting a reply with details.
