1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Whatever Happened to eMunie? on: August 22, 2014, 09:06:33 PM
Hey everyone

I've been wondering, what actually happened to eMunie. It was all anyone could talk about in January this year, but after their lead developer cancelled the IPO, I've heard nothing since. Has it been abandoned, is it still going to be launched?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / When in StorJ launching? on: August 22, 2014, 05:22:06 AM
Hey all

Just checking if there are any StorJ investors out there that know when Storj is launching, I'm thinking about buying some Storjcoin X on Poloniex, but I can't seem to find anywhere when its launch date is.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / klee's Stolen Bitcoins on: July 19, 2014, 11:45:41 AM
Hey all

Sorry for making a new thread, but I saw klee closed the other two threads. This may be new info or it may be worthless (in which case I will close this topic) By chance I happened to come across the Viacoin, thread where people were talking about a whale, who invested in this coin : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=682186.msg7878988#msg7878988

The address of the so called "whale" : https://blockchain.info/address/1BoAzeau3NHzRd1Mq9BXebyG1cJ1FEbeKk

No when you scroll down the transactions list, you'll see a public note on one of the transactions, which reads : "I'm a guy from Ukraine. In Ukraine the Civil War and the Nazis kill innocent people. I have three small children and I fear for their lives. I want to get away from the war, but I did’t have enough money. Help me please. Send me some BTC. Save our souls."

That note was left there by BurtW (member on BitcoinTalk) to "tag" klee's stolen coins which he posted in the original thread. This tag was visible in the address that housed the stolen coins before the hacker used a mixer. Could it be that this is where the coins ended up, in hackers new address or is it just the address of someone who used the same mixer?
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Xapo Vault - Anyone using it? on: July 09, 2014, 03:44:17 PM
Hey everyone

If you guys don't know about Xapo yet, they are a new Bitcoin startup that raised over $40M in funding by venture capitalists : http://www.coindesk.com/xapo-bitcoin-debit-card-launch-month/

I just created an account there and I found out about their vault service :

Quote from their site :

Quote
The Xapo Vault is fully-insured, backed by Meridian Insurance. The insurance is provided at no charge to Vault users and covers all incidents that are not caused by you. In this event, any bitcoins you lose will be replaced by Xapo.

Quote
What is Xapo Vault?
Vault
Think of it like a leather wallet vs. a steel safe deposit box. Your everyday wallet is convenient and – unless you leave it sitting around – is pretty secure. But then there’s the safety deposit box at your bank. It’s not everyday that you want to get your special something out, but when you do, you have to first pass the bank’s armed guard, then use a fingerprint scanner, and then have the matching key. In the highly unlikely event that something does happen to your bitcoins, and it wasn't your fault, rest assured that they are fully insured, backed by Meridian Insurance. If hackers attack, an employee goes rogue, or any other wrongdoing happens that’s out of your control, we will fully return your bitcoins.

Anyone using this service? Also what do you think about their insurance? I wonder if it would work like typical insurance where I could file a claim if my account get's hacked.

Win an Oculus Rift on Poloniex by Trading SilkCoin

Details

Quote
1. Any single trade on the SC/BTC market valued at 0.01 BTC or greater constitutes one entry into the competition

2. The number of trades made is important as it constitutes an entry into the competition. Volume is inconsequential. For example, 5 trades each with a value of 0.01 BTC will get you 5 entries, whereas 1 trade with a value of 0.05 BTC will get you 1 entry.

3. The more entries you make, the greater your chances of winning the competition

4. The competition runs from 05 June 2014 until the start of SilkCoin's 2nd PoW phase, projected to be on 12 June 2014

5. A winner will be randomly picked from the pool of entries

6. The winner will be announced by Poloniex at the end of the competition

Here's where to find info about the competition on Poloniex :

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coinopend Exchange is a SCAM!! on: April 29, 2014, 02:09:22 PM
I have posted this here becuase it is an alt-coin exchange

Coinopend is a SCAM

I got lured into depositing my BTC onto this site because of what looked to be extremely low BlackCoin prices.  All of it is fake : https://www.coinopend.com/trading/BC_BTC

I blame myself because I got greedy and thought I could make a quick buck buy buying the BC at low prices. The total amount which I've lost is 0.7 BTC which was deposited into my "fake" BTC address : https://blockchain.info/address/147e2PjPzFsLq6bAY3LqzF1AhfNxZSsa12

I only realized that this was a fake exchange after I deposited my BTC as there are BTC/SHARE trading pairs which is for ShareCoin  : http://sharecoin.info/ a coin which hasn't even been distributed yet.

Everyone stay away from this exchange.
9  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB Bitcoin with $290 PayPal on: April 28, 2014, 07:23:02 PM
Hi there

I have a Verified PayPal account and I'm looking to buy $290 worth of Bitcoin which at the current price is 0.65 BTC. Since PayPal to some is a higher risk for trading I will lower the amount to 0.6 BTC.

Therefore the trade is whereby I pay you $290 via PayPal and you send me 0.6 BTC. I can provide my transaction history and verification status via PM if needed and I am fully open to using escrow for this trade.

Please PM me if you are interested to trade.

Regards,
Wulfcastle

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BlackCoin Price Predictions on: April 24, 2014, 04:46:09 PM
Hey all

I've been into BlackCoin for around a week now, but from what I've gathered this is what I believe the prices will be in the next 6 months. Please take note that this is not a HYPE thread these are conservative predictions and the purpose of this thread is to see the outcome. Constructive criticism is welcome.

First off for those who think BlackCoin is slumping the same way Auroracoin did, here is some proof (taken from the BlackCoin thread) that the market will most likely bounce back. (This forms the basis for my further predictions)

We've been here before! Just look at the dates. The first graph is from the end of March and the second one represents the last 7 days. Both graphs start after a heavy dumping period. Can you see the similarities? Price will stabilize eventually and we will keep our upward trajectory.

Now onto the predictions

25 April 2014 : BC will stabilize around 33-34K (CORRECT, but one day late)

27-30 April 2014 : BC price will increase to around 42-44K (Correction of price after dump)

5-10 May 2014 : BC price will increase to around 57-60K (Initial release of BlackCoin Cards : http://blackcoincard.com/)

12-14 May 2014 : BC price will stabilize at 51-53K (Correction after price increase)

15-25 May 2014 : BC price will steadily increase to 62-63K (Anticipation of CoinKite Release)

1 June 2014 : BC price will jump to 110K (CoinKite Release)

4 June 2014 : BC price will stabilize ar 90-95K (Correction after price increase)

5 June 2014 - 1 August 2014 : BC price will steadily increase to 120K (Exposure from CoinKite + More merchants and better infrastructure)

1 Jan 2015 : 230K

I can't be too sure of the last prediction for 1 Jan 2015 as there could be many factors affecting the price up to this point, it may increase it may decrease I can't be too sure, but the rest I believe are more or less what I think the price will be.

Only time will tell if my predictions are right.  Wink
