1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Pls help: NOMP fatal error during installation on: August 01, 2014, 02:34:31 AM
Hi All;

I asked this on the NOMP github and haven't received a response, so I thought I'd try my luck here.  After installing  Node.js v0.10+ and Redis key-value store v2.6+ I proceeded to git-clone NOMP.  All went well up to this point, but when I issued the command npm update I got a fatal error.  The only references I can can find to a similar problem have to do with not having ssl set up, which is not the case here.  I've included the relavent details and error messages below for reference.

I'm sure this is something simple, but for the life of me I can't see it, need a fresh pair of eyes I guess.  I can send the complete log and std error/output files if you want them.

Regards,
JR

2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Well I'm Crankin, But.... on: May 27, 2014, 09:57:42 PM
... with only a partial set of my Antminer S1's, having hosed the network setup badly enough that I can no longer connect to the setup screen on some of them.   Embarrassed

Is there some way to do a hard reset on the S1, such that it defaults to factory settings?  I can't see any jumpers on the network card.

James Rasmussen
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Question RE: S1 Ants on: April 30, 2014, 02:44:53 AM
Hi All.  I'm new to crypto-currencies so forgive me if I stumble through this question...

I have 4 Antminer S1's and a 1600 W power supply shipping from e-bay this week and I'm planning on connecting to Polmine, which has an average work rate of 127 TH/s.  Is there some way to network my S1's, such that they all work in concert under one cgminer?  If not, how many shares will I loose to the lack of synchronization?

It seems like the loss would be substantial, i.e. 4 X 0.18/127 TH/s vice 0.72/127 TH/s; like I said however I'm new, so I thought it wise to 'phone a friend."

So hiya friend, what do you think?
