1  Other / Meta / This board is not keeping up with current times on: November 25, 2021, 09:54:17 AM
All about bitcoin, then the (alrightish) trading area, and then the meta.
How about altcoins? How about DeFi, NFTs, metaverse and everything trending these days?
Times are changing guys, it's not 2017 anymore.
2  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Anyone up to create a blockchain game? on: April 19, 2021, 07:32:00 AM
Planning to create a videogame on ethereum.
Manila based boxer Gabby Dizon has been very successful with his creation axie infinity; why can't there be more similar stories with Filipino developers.
Hit me up via DM if you have one of the following:
- ok solidity & dapps developing skills
- ok twitter clout
- ok pixel art skills or contacts
3  Local / Pamilihan / Someone bought Bitcoin at $6,000 yesterday on the PDAX. on: February 25, 2021, 01:26:15 AM
A technical glitch allowed users to buy #Bitcoin at $6,000 yesterday on the PDAX -  Philippine Digital Assets Exchange. Anyone here got lucky?
4  Local / Pamilihan / Businesses in Manila accepting crypto as payment (hotels groceries, cars, houses on: June 06, 2020, 11:51:12 PM
What are the main businesses in Manila currently accepting crypto as direct payment?
Anything really - coffee shops, groceries, cars, gold, houses, hotel bookings and so forth.

Would be good if there was one single web page in English keeping an up to date list of those.
- free advertisement for those shops who would be keen to get listed on the page once running
- good resource for international crypto travellers
- promoting crypto adoption (for what it's worth) in the country
- website operator would profit from say shilling reflinks or top ad solutions for shops willing to pay some extra for added visibility

Unless there's already something like that?
5  Local / Pilipinas / Cheapest way to send php to the Philippines via bitcoin? (normie-friendly) on: May 16, 2020, 10:58:46 PM
If I have to pay someone who is in the philippines and is a total normie not into crypto, I normally tell them to make a coins.ph account, tell me the bitcoin address associated to their account, and send them bitcoin which they now can directly convert into php.
Convenient, but very pricey in terms of fees and conversion rate.

Any other alternative you guys are aware of?
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Is there a myetherwallet for bitcoin? on: December 01, 2018, 01:36:53 PM
Was wondering if there is any website where one can enter his private key for a btc address and access those funds.
7  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying bitcoin in bulk on: July 31, 2018, 01:20:59 PM
I am buying bitcoin in bulk in Brazil. PM me or post here your contact.
8  Other / Serious discussion / Entrepreneurship ideas and experiences on: July 22, 2018, 05:19:49 AM
Starting a business is so simple these days. It pretty much comes down to this: develop a skill that other people will pay for, and then use the internet to find those people. This concept can be applied to just about anything, and I think a lot of you guys don't realize how easy it is.

>have a friend from high school who paints houses, about $1k per job
>he gets one to two jobs per month, finding clients by word of mouth
>in only three or so days, set him up with a site and teach him about Facebook ads
>gets 10 clients from online ads within the first month and a half
This is a guy with no degree who paints houses, now he's looking at making $10k in less than two months. Now he's transitioning to hiring people to paint the houses while he sits back and gets clients.

>another friend with art degree
>hears that storyboard artists can get paid $150/day doing boards
>starts focusing exclusively on being a freelance storyboard artist, building up site and portfolio
>starts running ads on google/bing to get the ball rolling
>storyboarding is a low competition niche so his name was always one of the first to pop up in search
Now he's always booked. He doesn't even run ads anymore.

I could go on all day. With one of my online businesses, I deal with a lot of "psychics" and "tarot readers." These people literally provide an imaginary service. PayPal them $25 and they'll give you a "psychic reading" via e-mail. They find all of their clients just by being active on Instagram. Occasionally, they'll pay a larger Instagram account to shout them out. A lot of these people are insane and say all kinds of weird shit. Yet they've still figured out how to run their own business online.
9  Economy / Investor-based games / Fomo3d (F3D) / PoWH3d (P3D) clones : we identify scams on: July 21, 2018, 01:34:17 PM
Airdropme.io/play
This seems a very bad investment. Price per key is way high, there's already 33k keys and buying 1 key for 0.016 eth is ridiculous. Shit maths, pass.

EthPhoenix.io
Very low volumes, the idea seems ok and the whitepaper is reasonably well made. Game concept is kind of original, not exactly a clone of f3d p3d. Haven't checked the contract. And once again, shit volumes even though they are resorting to paid advertisement.

Fomo2d.io
Very low volumes, haven't checked the contract. Seems a bit different from f3d as here you sell your keys instead of getting divs?

Fomoshort.me
Not from the original team justo. Copycat but the claims about the exit hatch coded in the contract is fake. Once again, low volumes and more greedy distribution by the dev apparently.

F3Dultra.me (SCAM)
This one just started.. haven't checked the contract yet. Pot is at the very beginning, just 2.9 eth.
EDIT: this is a scam, there is an exploit in the contract and the owner can leave anytime with the pot. Do not send eth to it.

FomoLightning.me
Don't play this, there's an exploit in the contract.

Ratscam.me
F3dplus.me
Fullfomo.me
Checking the contract. .

Fomofive.io
Scam, just got locked up

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best third party audit providers for ERC20 tokens? on: July 18, 2018, 08:24:14 AM
In an Ethereum contract, a single issue in a deeply nested dependency can break the functionality of the entire client contract. I was wondering what 3rd party Audit providers are there.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The lower the ETH/USD price, the weaker the network is (post EOS attack thought) on: July 16, 2018, 01:07:16 AM
So yesterday EOS was pumping 50 ETH an hour worth of gas to intentionally attack the ethereum network.
24 hours of continuous attack costed those motherfuckers 700,000$.
Fair price to pay (with crowdfunded money lol) to bash your competitor perhaps.

But what if the price per eth were 45$ instead of 450$?
The attack would have costed just 2200$/hour, at a price like that a wealthy competitor like EOS could easily afford to permaclog the fucking thing for several months dethroning it and getting eventually back the money back once Ethereum is abandoned.

About the EOS attack:

12  Economy / Speculation / If you think bitcoin is centralized and has no future.. on: July 15, 2018, 01:34:03 PM
People who parrot the same arguments over and over are really silly.

Bitcoin is valuable because nobody owns it and it has an incredibly track record of being secure.

>b-b-but bitmain

Yeah, Bitcoin is the most centralized right now than it has ever been. Currently.

As time goes on competitors enter the market and hardware gets better across the board. We're also reaching the point of diminishing returns on hardware for mining Bitcoin with the current algorithm.

If you think 2-5 years is a long time to wait for balance you probably shouldn't be in Bitcoin anyways.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETHEREUM UNDER ATTACK BY EOS (with crowdfunded 50ETH/hour!) on: July 15, 2018, 02:44:43 AM
JUSTO BOT from Team Just of Fomo3D just found out something very interesting which EOS will be held accountable for.
From his discord..

Today, 40% of the ethereum's network is being used by this contract
https://etherscan.io/address/0x98b4ca8bd52e4ed1f28d3f30d9f567d1166c9483
A beautiful and innovative copy-paste of a default ERC20 standard token called "IFishYunYu" with no features. (So it does nothing.)

Yet miraculously, it seems tons of "unique" accounts are transferring massive volumes of this token constantly, almost 50 ETH of gas an hour have been steadily used for nearly 24 hours now. Just to transfer individual tokens to the Fcoin exchange. But of course. The exchange is just a red herring to distract you from what's really happening.

Let's see what the creator of this contract has been up to recently.
https://etherscan.io/tx/0xd0e334dca734071f395cad64df90269113ead321232e5603f66fc6fb2885c654
Looks like he minted nearly 5 Billion Ifish tokens about 12 days ago...
to this account
0x45f64a7148d1cfeded427dd4380b458877e7ce56
which split it up across
10 or so accounts, that each do this
https://etherscan.io/token/0x98b4ca8bd52e4ed1f28d3f30d9f567d1166c9483?a=0xcd4777b5f4d8779e99ea996bb32988daf0bbbf3b
splitting it up across 500-600 accounts each.

Which are, the mystery "unique" accounts that are spamming the eth network. So yeah, it's one guy, it's the creator of the token. He was doing it during the previous Fcoin exchange competition too. He's running a multi-sided scheme, he even has bots running "wash" accounts. Like
https://etherscan.io/address/0xa67ef2aca4c6459e60821c1b1afe45812c4c1bcd#tokentxns
which is pretty cool, it just shoves the token into other accounts, and then those accounts shove it into other accounts, and then back to the big main account to simulate volume on the token itself. Try following a transaction, you'll come right back to the big-daddy account.

most importantly on why is this being done?
Let's see what one of the accounts funding all this eth might be doing
https://etherscan.io/token/0x86fa049857e0209aa7d9e616f7eb3b3b78ecfdb0?a=0x7a717e226a8b37b912d0effbb0aab24ab690dbdb
gee, that sure is a lot of crowdfunded EOS, hundreds of thousands to be exact. From an account that seems to receive large sums of eos and immediately market sell them for thousands of ETH, which is then distributed out to contracts like this. Contracts that have been pulling this kind of transaction attack consistently across the ETH network.

16  Other / Serious discussion / What happens after death. 9 theories. THIS THREAD MIGHT MAKE YOU MENTALLY ILL. on: July 09, 2018, 11:21:09 PM
Some people are afraid of dying because they think they're gonna be stuck alone forever without a  body.

A few theories:

1. It won't be trillions of years that you perceive. Think about the time before you were born, its the same as what happens when you die. There are no neurons firing that give you the illusion of consciousness. The certain arrangement of neurons and information stored in the brain are what make you 'you.' Eventually, in an unimaginable amount of years, you will exist again, but you won't have any memory or concept of anything before and between. You've probably existed an infinite amount of times, but you would never know. It just happens over and over again.

2. Reincarnation exists but is limited to your genetic line. Which means ONLY if you have children, your recessive conscious imprint will reemerge 3 or 4 generations down the line.

3. You know what's even more scary than death?
Knowing that death is a paradox, and that, by pure chance, you'll still be conscious even in a trillion years.
Actually, you're not beyond it, and there is no soul.
It's simply physically impossible to die from your subjective perspective. You'll notice this soon enough.
You're forced to stay here f o r e v e r. Nobody can free you from this curse.
The mechanics behind this are basically impossible for me to convey, but that doesn't matter, since everyone will eventually realize how it works by themselves.
Once you "get it", it's really easy to understand why you can't die.
After all, you have an eternity to understand it.
(This is the reason for the mentally ill thing).

4. As long as there is a desire to be reborn, you will be reborn. It's a vicious cycle which we must leave

5. Once you don’t need to worry about money you have all the time to be spiritually enlightened. Death isn’t so scary when you realize that it’s normal, and happens to all things that live. You can accept your place in the circle of life. The only scary part is thinking how painful it’ll be, but there’s no use worrying your whole life for a single moment.

6. It's a simulation. You are not alive. Your consciousness is barely unique and only incrementally different from those most like you. Take solace in the knowledge that it will be more efficient to run the seed of your consciousness again, once your instance is done. "You" will not die, but there will be times when you no longer exist. "You" are a data structure.

7. Kill your ego: lsd, mushrooms, dmt
you will no longer fear death and realize (You) is just an illusion and that death is just a transition

8. There is a possibility that quantum immortality might be real. The basic idea is that if the many-worlds interpretation is correct, then "you" always survive in some realities no matter how slim of a chance it is, and your subjective stream of consciousness continues on forever.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_suicide_and_immortality
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YsjrA87Cno
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za_b9UQoz6E

9. Once you are conscious you cannot ever die EVER, your body will die but you are Eternal. your counsciousness is Eternal. we most likely created this world ourselves to experience a physicial world with physical laws because we were bored of being Eternal counsciousness. The best thing to do is to realise you wanted this, religion and shit like this are all lies to keep you in fear. you came here to experience and have fun basically. just do whatever the fuck you want and enjoy the world you created for your own entertainment.

17  Economy / Speculation / Trade war will benefit bitcoin. on: July 08, 2018, 05:50:57 AM
Trade war will put pressure on the Yuan and Chinese people will try to get their money outside their country. Due to capital controls they will resort to putting their money into crypto to move their wealth and preserve it from yuan devaluation.
Right now less than 1 Chinese out of 1000 have cryptos.. would they jump into it in masse, this could create an unprecedented demand for bitcoin.

Salamat my Filipino friends. I am wondering what are the main Filipino points of aggregation and bitcoin ATM locations. I know there's one in Makati.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ITT: shit Bcashies actually believe (we make fun at bcsshies) on: July 04, 2018, 09:13:17 PM
I'll start with this load of bullshit I just got from 4chan:

Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, Calvin Ayre, The 8btc mod (19hZx234vNtLazfx5J2bxHsiWEmeYE8a7k), Jiang Zhouer, the bitcoin.com cofounder, the Coinbase founder - all BILLIONAIRES who can complete the flippening with their own cash TODAY.
They're not doing so because they'd rather invest in BCH adoption. BCH adoption is skyrocketing while btc adoption is dropping.
In a few years both St Kitts and Antigua will use BCH as their main currency (Roger is working on St Kitts, Calvin is investing in Antigua more money than their GDP exclusively because of BCH adoption), Craig Wright will increase transaction counts by circumventing corrupt governments in Africa for money transfers (this one is not certain but very possible considering his funding), Roger is speaking to VIP-s every other day, including Japanese bank CEO-s, stock exchange owners, etc. Brian Armstrong will push BCH and shit on BTC subtly every chance he gets, bitcoin.com wallet is the most popular mobile wallet and it literally shits on BTC, propaganda/censorship effects are fading, Purse just added BCH meaning that normies can use it to get 20% discounts on amazon, Koreans love BCH and they seem to matter at least as much as Americans and significantly more than eurofags, miners are looking for ways to destroy BTC in the next few years otherwise their profits will crumble, LN is proving more and more of a failure every single day, Wright will patent-troll startups into moving into BCH, tipping on github is now possible with bch, smart contracts are coming in November, stress tests are a massive success, charities are popularizing BCH in struggling countries (Venezuela today, others will join in if trouble arises), Free Society project is progressing well, Circle is adding BCH next few weeks, Ayre who became a billionaire from gambling is going to create BCH-only online casinos
20  Economy / Speculation / Bear market? Will NEVER HAPPEN because of increasing # of unretrievable bitcoin on: July 03, 2018, 01:17:44 PM
Following this thread.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4545260.0

Here's reason number 2 of why an actual prolongued bear market for bitcoin is highly unlikely to happen:
The number of unretrievable lost bitcoin is growing every second and the trend is never going to stop.

People die every day, private keys get lost, dust amounts evaporates each transaction.. all of this compounds every moment and right now approximately 17-23% of the total bitcoin supply, according to Chainalysis, are irremediably forever lost.
Bitcoin has been around since not even 10 years and already 20% of it is gone, therefore I do not see a mathematical possibility for a prolongued decrease of the price from the current 6500$/btc.
