1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / I am probably the 19282314572th person asking this but please, so bear with me. on: November 05, 2021, 11:53:15 PM
Alright, for those who have been in the NFT market, tell me how your experience has been with https://opensea.io/,, the good, the bad, the ugly.

The reviews on Trustpilot are funny, at best: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/opensea.io

I would like opinions on other Marketplaces too, like: https://mintable.app/, https://niftygateway.com/, Binance NFT(?), or any other relatively good ones.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Omg they really DID THIS??? (!NOT CLICKBAIT) on: July 16, 2021, 10:03:41 PM
Tl:dr: Members of gaming organization, Faze Clan: Kay, teeqo, nikan,Jarvis pumped and dumped various shit coins to gain money and also did fake giveaways to themselves to make people think the shitcoins are legit.

An indepth explanation/s: watch these 2 VERY GOOD videos by Someordinarygamers exposing the scam that is SaveTheKids token and how it all went down:

https://youtu.be/MMNeb5qKFyg

https://youtu.be/0SSzCoz_XNc

Basically the kind of shit McAfee and Roger's Ver used to do by using the power of "influencers", and fact of the matter is....it still works on dumb fucks on Twitter dot com. Now the ever so shithead YouTube Logan Paul is promoting "Dink doink". I think that name of the shitcoins alone sounds enough.

When we said we wanted new people to adapt to crypto, and that new people are now coming on board, I only see stories like these being uncovered and it's just funny as fuck seeing people fall for it over and over again. Thoughts?

How's my impression on the thread title? 9/10?
3  Economy / Exchanges / excuse me what the fuck? on: February 19, 2021, 09:29:34 PM
I just opened my hitbtc account to check for my funds I had kept ages ago, only to find out their fees is fucking HORRIBLE???

They are asking me 80$ for withdrawal fees for CVC and 50 USD for btc? Hello what? Its even more worse for some other alts.

Is there a genuine reason behind such a huge fees difference?

Temp solution to anyone who's going through this pain:

Edit:

They only way I withdrew cheaply was through EOS. They still charge 0.01 EOS(~0.05 USD) for withdrawal. Convert all your assets to EOS then withdraw. You can convert them back afterwards to your prefered coin in another exchange/swap service
4  Economy / Service Discussion / i give up on: January 01, 2021, 10:27:02 PM
I am giving up on Localcryptos, there's barely any sellers in my region esp for bitcoin, let alone any other crypto. I think at this point i might just have to lend into giving my kyc to localbitcoins.

My hopes for a perfect exchange keep shattering by the day. Sad
5  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Amazon.com gift card on: August 20, 2020, 05:56:26 PM
Hello, I want to buy around 100$ of amazon.com credit, giftcard works too, at 80% discounted price in exchange for bitcoin. Trusted traders only, you send first, or you send to a trusted escrow, and cover escrow fees.

Want a quick transaction so let me know. Will ignore offers from people I am not comfortable with. Rates are negotiable.
6  Economy / Service Discussion / please help me {cry of help} on: August 06, 2020, 11:55:04 PM
So here's what i want to do:

- I want to spend bitcoin and get a virtual credit/debit card.

- and I want to use the virtual credit/debit card for paypal transactions.

Now here's what I don't want:

- Any sort of kyc verifications, and i want the transaction to be somewhat quick.

Now is this possible, or is there a service that helps me with it?

Or any easier ways to directly convert btc to paypal? And no, i don't want to trade with people on this forum(at least when paypal is concerned).
7  Economy / Economics / Oh look! Another covid thread..... on: April 24, 2020, 11:56:31 PM
In all seriousness, there are way too many threads regarding covid on this board so creating a new one to get opinions on various matters:

Okay so, pretty much 90% of the world is in lockdown. China, the main source of the virus, isn't on lockdown. How did China manage to withstand the virus out of nowhere, while it was a goddamn plaguefuck of a place for ~3 to 4 months?

Also, countries are severely mad at China, for lying about the virus. Apparently, there is new evidence in light stating the virus originated from the Wuhan Lab, and then it spread through their wet markets, whose existence is being denied by china. China claims there is no such thing as a wet market, while there is a shitload of evidence proving otherwise. To add to this, the US government has officially sued China for the spread of the virus, and for lying about all crucial information about the virus.

Next, I am still shocked on why some countries/states are easing out on the lockdown while the number of cases has been on the rise. The state of Texas is apparently removing their lockdown effective next week. Why, WHY, the number of cases will only rise and become much worse, just like in 1918. I understand that people need to work for an economy to survive, but thus far the precautionary measures taken have been outright awful.

And my oh my, coming out of this pandemic, I don't even know where to begin with. From the looks of it, a lot of countries are gonna shit on chinese markets and ask them to go fuck themselves. This could be a chance for something different to happen, as in inflated countries like Zimbabwe, Venezuela could come out on top as competitors for chinese markets, given enough capital. The recession is going to be tough, the biggest one human kind could have ever possibly imagined, and while US could get away with printing money from thin air, other countries won't. I am hating every single moment of this, thinking about this, and that we have to live through this.

Stay home, stay safe! Take care of you and your family.

Self-moderated thread. Post useless shit, and I will delete your message.
8  Economy / Exchanges / RobinHood Exchange on: February 21, 2020, 11:43:25 PM
I wanted to hear thoughts on robinhood, nerdwallet gives them a 5 star rating but I didn't find much about them on the forum. Also, they have somewhat of a randomized referral, where they provide a stock worth from around 3$ to 150$, something like gambling. How's the trading experience so far for the current users over there?

Update:

An update to the thread:

Is there any way to withdraw robinhood funds to a paypal or a non US bank account? Please let me know.
9  Economy / Economics / Thoughts on the World War 3 and its possible impacts on future? on: January 17, 2020, 11:40:13 PM
So the whole thing started off as a meme on twitter, people were going crazy about it, the moment they heard news that Qasem Soleimani was killed by an US drone. At first, everything seemed all so scary, people were scared on how Iran would respond, and hell was breaking loose on the Streets or Iran. This goes two ways now, while Qasem Soleimani was a terrorist according to US, and has caused a lot of stuff in the past, some Iranians were still mad that US had murdered their major General, and they started chanting "Death to US" on the streets. On the other hand, many Iranians were happy that their General was dead. Now, how did Iran respond? They warned the US bases in Iraq that they were going to launch missiles 6 hours before they did, giving the US soldiers enough time to evacuate the base. And while this happens, Trump tweets: "All is well!"

Now to the US side of things: The entire US is confused and perplexed on why all this happened. The Trump administration claims that Qasem Soleimani posed an "Imminent threat" towards the US, and apparently, 4 of their embassies were at potential risk. Weirdly enough, this was not the case, according to the Defense Secretary, as to him: there was no sign of an "Imminent Threat" towards anything. And whilst all this, Iran "accidentally" shot down an Ukranian Passenger plane.

Politics all aside, nothing adds up. The US has been wanting Oil from Iran for years now, and this was somewhat of another failed attempt at it. Iran's tariffs are to be increased, and also, if things do go Haywire, Russia and China have Iran's back, they have held "Naval drills" in the Gulf of Oman.

Now considering all of this, how is an economy like Iran going to stand up against the US? And how is the possibility of another World War contribute towards the whole global economy? I am still intrigued on the possible outcomes of how a modern-ized war will affect the overall economy. Also, could it be possible for Trump's attack on Iran be more of an Economic move than just mere politics? Something has to be there, right?

Note: Don't spam.
10  Economy / Economics / Stance on bitcoin's effect towards the Global Economy on: January 16, 2020, 10:12:39 PM
I have said this before, and I will say it again, the existence of bitcoin or crypto alone won't help a failing economy. Nonetheless, given how the whole World is going through a recession for years now, and also living in widespread ignorance that recession isn't here yet, rather, its coming in the near future. The World is at its brink of an economic collapse, the global debt is increasing by the day, AND we are, or at least we were almost on the verge of another World War, and 2020 just hasn't gotten to a very solid start people were expecting.

With that said, I wanna hear constructive opinions/predictions/speculations, on how things are gonna end up by the end of this year, and this decade. How is the GDP gonna get affected by everything happening, how are countries going to survive recession, and what is to say that we won't suffer through the Great Depression Phase 2? And most importantly, how is crypto going to come out of this?

Edit: I forgot to self-mod this topic, so if you spam, I will report you, and get the post deleted.
11  Economy / Exchanges / Need me some advice on: May 18, 2019, 08:17:58 PM
Soo.... after like many many months, I logged into my bittrex account to move some of my coins(I know, I SHOULDN'T HAVE KEPT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE, I AM A HYPOCRITE(lazy)) from there, only to realize that my account was disabled. And upon contacting the support, I was told that the only way to enable is to verify my account, and to do that, I have to give my documents.

And I am not so sure if I want to give those documents to some random dude in a random country. There is like a couple hundred bucks in there, but uhhh, I am just undecided and am in some sort of dilemma right now.

Advice away, people.

And spammers, fuck off.
12  Other / Meta / Are patrollers still a thing? on: July 18, 2018, 09:49:42 PM
Patrollers are those staff members who can only moderate newbies. Correct?

But I haven't heard anything about the patrollers in a while now. Do they still act as a role in the moderation staff?

If new global mods can't be hired, patrollers can be of a major help, to handle the newbie spam problem. And there's nothing to lose for the forum and staff worthy users can help the forum. Its a Win-win scenario. Thoughts?

Edit:

Seems like patrollers still are a thing. theymos, can you explain more on this patroller thing?
13  Other / Meta / [PARODY] The Infinity Snap. Bitcointalk edition? on: July 13, 2018, 10:48:02 PM
I came across this reddit section known as reddit.com/r/thanosdidnothingwrong and what the moderators did there is, ban half of the accounts in that reddit subsection. There were approx 650,000 users and 325,000 users got banned.

It's time for bitcointalk to do so. An initiative for a handful of users, to go to the the main shitposting sections, start reporting threads there, and mods to start deleting/banning and destroying the hopes of shitposters?

Thanos theymos, snap your finger, destroy the accounts. Ruin the life of shitposters. You don't want to bring in restrictions, don't. Just ban those who deserve to be. Hire some voluntary mods. For a few hours. Get your infinity gauntlet ready(with the 6 infinity stones).

Any voluntary users up for this? For binge reporting?
14  Other / Meta / Global Moderators fired? on: July 10, 2018, 03:54:04 PM
I just noticed that grue and saltyspitoon are no longer Global Mods. Why? I see both of them have been offline for around a month, but at times when there is more need for mods, why remove them?

Are there gonna be new global mods? If so, I have my alts(Welsh and LoyceV) up for that. Grin

I was planning for a infinity war parody dude, and I can't fill the 6 infinity stones(because 2 mods got removed) Angry.
