1  Other / Meta / Why suddenly Cloudflare Human Verification is Coming Up? on: February 19, 2024, 02:07:31 PM
Am I the only one facing this issue everytime I am trying to access the forum? Or everyone here is seeing the same screen. I am not trying to login as I have opted for Always stay logged in option. So, I am trying to only access the forum and everytime I do it I have to go through this shit. Is it because of DDos attack or @theymos is trying to control the bots that are spamming the forum. I would love to here your problem as for me it is making me irritate with constant verification screen. Infeel as if I need to prove  myself that I am human with this sudden change.
2  Local / India / India's KoinBX rockets into top 100 spot exchanges on CoinMarketCap on: October 07, 2023, 05:01:59 AM
I found this exciting news coming from an Indian exchange. KoinBX one of the Indian cryptocurrency exchanges is now ranked under the top 100 spot exchanges on CoinMarketCap.

Other Indian exchanges have been struggling with low volume and liquidity issues after the 30% tax slab was announced. KoinBX started onboarding new users not only from India but from 50+ major countries across the globe. They are operating in Asia, Africa, and Europe. The current spot trading volume of KoinBX is BTC3,395 as per CMC.

What do you guys think? Will other Indian cryptocurrency exchanges follow the path of KoinBX?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Did anyone notice this pattern? on: September 20, 2023, 02:16:54 PM
I was trying to find a certain date for the actual halving event as a stupid fool. I noticed that the date changes, as it all depends on the blocks. At the moment it is due in the month of March, earlier it was in the month of May next year. The next thing I did was to check the ROI of Bitcoin after every halving. The ROI, if anyone had bought Bitcoin before 2011 was 100x approximately from 2012 to 2016. if you bought Bitcoin in 2015 it would be 7X approximately in November of 2021. My math can be wrong and I am open to criticism about it.

Continuing with what I discovered, I saw a pattern while trying to find my actual objective. It is a pattern that might determine when Bitcoin will get a new ATH.

This might sound unreal but Bitcoin takes approximately 1.3 years to get to a new ATH. if we consider the halving dates and then check the new ATH, as an average it concludes. I am not speculating anything as it is a simple calculation of the average. just take a look:

2012 halving - New ATH reached around 1 year after
2016 halving - New ATH reached around 1.5 years after
2020 halving - New ATH reached around 1.5 years after

I know that there are multiple reasons for Bitcoin reaching a new ATH. I do understand that cannot be based on the law of averages. What do you guys think, Is the law of average work here or I am just speculating it?
4  Economy / Economics / India Expands G20 Membership to G21 During Its Presidency. on: September 09, 2023, 12:38:41 PM

It is done and dusted as India changes the status quo of G20 to G21 under its presidency. African Union is now part of the new G21 group, a brilliant geopolitical move by India. India is hosting the current G20 summit for the first time and being a host if a country can change the status quo of a powerful economic group for the first time, then it is a big achievement. 55 sovereign states are part of the African Union as per Wikipedia. I may be wrong if I am then do correct me.

In recent times India has been dominating global politics and every big economy has been trying its level best to get themselves on their good books. The next news that we all are waiting for from this summit is the G20 crypto regulation framework. This will be followed by all of these nations with some minor changes according to their local requirement.

BTW, The Chinese president was not present in this meeting nor did Zelensky and Putin. I can understand the problem with Putin & Zelensky, what I did not understand was why the Chinese premier thought of canceling his visit. A few days back he was present at the BRICS summit which for me looks kind of awkward. Do you guys think he canceled his visit because of the existing border issue with India or something else?

5  Local / India / Beware Some Indian Exchanges are facing INR withdrawal issues! on: September 01, 2023, 11:01:44 AM
Last week three Indian exchanges were facing INR withdrawal issues. I am not going to name them as I got the information from a Telegram channel. I can confirm one exchange name as I am part of that exchange telegram channel. When questioned by the user they claimed they were having issues with the Banking partners. If I am correct most Indian exchanges use Paytm bank to process INR withdrawals. It is a possibility that it might be a banking partner issue. The reason for this topic is to keep everyone aware of this issue. Please ensure that you don't put a big withdrawal request and avoid placing a request on Bank holidays.

If anyone here has faced any INR withdrawal issues recently then do share it with the community.

7  Local / India / 77th Independence Day! on: August 14, 2023, 07:14:53 AM
We Indians would be celebrating our 77th Independence day tomorrow. Till the 75 th Independence day we had a lot of traffic on our local board and we were happy because crypto tax wasn't rolled out. Now my question is what do you except would happen whn we celebrate the 78th Independence day? Do keep in mind that we have Bitcoin halving and central election next year.

I would like to propose that we as a community should have some kind of competition to celebrate this occasion. I would request active board members to have share some suggestions regarding it.

  • Has Bitcoin changed your living standard?
  • Do you think Bitcoin can get you financial freedom?

I only need your answers related to the above question. Please answer them as per their listing. As it will help me to understand and evaluate my response.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / List of casinos that allows "free spins and no deposit" on: August 09, 2023, 02:03:45 PM
I am trying to compile a list of crypto casinos that are offering free spins and no deposit promotions. Most of them offer it as a signup bonus whereas there are a few that offer it anytime. I have found a few, which won't look great on my list as I am looking for more than 10 online crypto casinos. If anyone here is aware of such an offer then do share it. I want to compile this list for anyone who wants to test a platform before joining and depositing on it.

Please remember I am looking for casinos that offer free play and no deposit. They might provide a new user without passing KYC a small amount of in house deposite to explore their platform. Thanks in advance.
10  Local / India / Government has found another way to boost its Revenue from Tax on: July 12, 2023, 01:05:32 PM
It seems the Indian government with the help of Babus has found an interesting way to boost their tax revenue. What they forgot is that they need to have some regulation before deciding to implement a tax on any upcoming technology. I came across this post from another forum, sharing it with here. Do share what you think about it. Go through it everything would be clear to you.

11  Local / India / Which CEX to trade now after Kucoin new KYC requirment? on: July 03, 2023, 01:13:21 PM
After the recent announcement by Kucoin that new users have to pass KYC, and existing users cannot withdraw without passing KYC. I wanted to know which CEX still allows deposit, withdrawal, and trading without the KYC requirements. For the simple swap, I am aware we can use DEX, for actual trading Kucoin was the best option until they came out with this mandatory requirement.

I knew a few CEX that did allow a user to trade on their platform without KYC a year back. They never had INR withdrawals but were good for traders who did not want to pay the surplus tax added by the Indian government. Since I was not sure whether they still have the same policy I went ahead and checked them today and I found only a handful are still allowing trading without KYC norms.

Eventually, every CEX would make KYC mandatory until then anyone can trade in these three Exchanges.

  • OKx still allows users to trade up to 10 BTC without KYC.
  • TradeOgre allows users to trade up to 1 BTC without KYC
  • MEXC exchange allows 30BTC worth transaction without KYC
  • Bitget exchange allows $50k withdrawal without KYC every day
  • Suggest an Exchange

If you know any CEX that is allowing deposit, withdrawal, and trading without KYC requirements then please suggest. Do remember I am looking for CEX and not DEX.
12  Local / India / Starting this thread to share only good news for the Indian Community on: June 26, 2023, 01:48:04 PM
You can report anything that is related to boosting the confidence of the Indian community. You should not share fake news! It is important that you share news from trusted media outlets globally. I mean any news that has some significance & that is relatable to the development of the community can be posted here. This will be a self-moderated thread, which means that you do need to read the basic rules before posting anything here.

What makes a piece of news significant?

If it is being reposted by multiple media outlets. As an example, you can check this news - Crypto Ban May Not Be Best Approach to Balance Risk, Demand: IMF

Can we submit Youtube videos that are relevant?

Yes, you are allowed to share those videos on this thread. Please ensure that the news/info is coming from an influencer that has credibility and has got an accepted following. My understanding of the following is 50k and above. There are some with small following still, they provide incredible depth and reasoning on a particular topic then do post it. I will view it and if I feel the video is suitable to be added to this thread, I will allow it.

Any rank requirement for posting?

Yes, only Jr. members and above.

Sharing an example on how to post on this thread

I am sharing another example of positive news only focused on the Indian community, that I found on a Youtube channel. I won't be going into the background of this channel. The reason being you all would know this guy, if not then it is your problem! I am talking about Ranveer Allahbadia. I follow his channel and recently he has been interviewing cabinet ministers of the Indian government. Some of you might see it as propaganda or lies as this about a particular political party.

Without wasting any time let's start with what happened today. To my surprise youtube algorithm promoted a video which was an interview with Rajeev Chandrashekar. I confess I have been following a lot of crypto influencers & influencers who are blatant about the negative attitude of the government.

The topic of importance starts at 13:55 where Rajeev Chandrashekar talks about Web3, cryptocurrency regulation for India, and how India will lead this industry. Here is the link!
13  Local / India / CBDC/eRuppe wallet is currently being tested! on: June 24, 2023, 11:45:41 AM
I found this image on a different forum. RBI is approaching random national bank customers or is asking national bank staff to test the wallet. I went through all the replies on that thread. The most important question that everyone was asking was why India needs e-Ruppe while UPI doing pretty well. Some of them started comparing it with UPI and most found it similar. I laughed all out when the OP on one of his replies thought that CBDC will give anonymity to its users.

To that reply, a user gave a counter reply as to how much the e-Rupee will help the Government to track everyone's transactions. That according to me is correct as a government's digital currency is meant to track transactions. The reason being the government is still not able to stop illegal activities such as money laundering using the UPI. Banking frauds plus scams are not that easy to solve. With the CBDC project, they plan to counter this issue.

As the wallet is still in the testing phase some users have said that it is full of bugs. Hopefully, they would get solved. What do you guys think about it and if given a chance would you test this wallet? Above is the image of the wallet dashboard. All credits go to the creator of that thread u/PerfectKills.

14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Important Points to Learn from Your Worst Sports Betting Losses! on: June 20, 2023, 10:21:40 AM
We've all suffered our fair share of setbacks. What is truly important, though, is how we respond to our worst betting losses and the lessons we learn from them. I believe we can turn these setbacks into profits with favorable outcomes by reflecting on our prior mistakes, implementing solid betting practices, and embracing a disciplined attitude. Here are my five most essential takeaways from my worst sports betting loss.

Analyze your losses objectively: Take the time to go over your worst losses with a clear and objective mind. Determine the elements that contributed to the losses, such as poor decision-making, emotional reactions, or a lack of research.

Accept responsibility for your losses: It is critical to accept responsibility for your betting losses. Blaming outside influences or luck will keep you from learning key lessons and enhancing your future betting strategy.

Identify patterns and common errors: Look for repeating patterns or errors that contributed to your losses. These include chasing losses, betting rashly, overestimating your knowledge, and failing to practice basic bankroll management.

Bankroll management strategy: Proper bankroll management is critical for long-term gaming success. Set up a separate budget for betting and make staking limits, such as restricting bets to a certain percentage of your total bankroll.

Disciplined betting: Maintaining a profitable betting strategy necessitates discipline. Even if you are feeling losses or emotions, stick to your set plans and avoid making premature selections.

Prioritize quality over quantity: Rather than placing a large number of bets, focus on discovering high-quality betting opportunities. Conduct comprehensive research, analyze statistics, and place bets that have a better probability of winning.

By incorporating these elements into your betting strategy, you may be able to recover from your worst gambling losses. Remember to approach gambling with a disciplined mindset, constantly learn from your experiences, and adjust your techniques as needed.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Pink Drainer: The Latest Threat to Crypto Investors. on: June 19, 2023, 01:21:28 PM
This news is a week old, but I still wanted to share it with all of you because I believe it will shock you when you read the full articles and see the prominent names in the tech industry who fell victim to these scammers. I have summarized the entire article here so that everyone can understand what happened. You can find the link to the article here.

According to the article, hackers managed to steal $3 million in digital assets from 1,932 victims by posing as journalists from well-known media outlets like Cointelegraph and Decrypt during fake interviews. The hacking gang, known as the 'Pink Drainer,' gained access to accounts through social engineering, tricking victims into trusting them and leading them to websites used to obtain Discord login keys. The gang was able to compromise accounts on various blockchains, including Mainnet, Arbitrum, BNB, Polygon, and others. This incident should serve as a wake-up call for both individuals and businesses to be more vigilant in securing their digital assets.

These hackers are incredibly cunning, and just thinking about how the victims must have felt after realizing they had been hacked sends shivers down my spine. My advice to everyone is simple: stay alert and stay informed about such topics if you want to avoid becoming a victim.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 14, 2023, 01:31:21 PM
When I saw this topic how to get over it, I wondered how can someone turn a $1,000 into $xxx, xxx amount through sports betting. I was aware that it can be done but what strategy or skills an individual needs to be able to do it? I went into browsing mode as I have done earlier and found out the skills needed to get to the peak of sports betting. Here are my five steps to make your sports betting profitable.

1. The most important step is to Research and analyzes before placing your bets: It is imperative that you gather relevant information about teams, players, statistics, and recent performances. This information would enable you to make more informed decisions.

2. Understanding the concept of value: By searching for bets where the odds offered are higher than what you thought the actual odds of an outcome are. By doing that you will be able to identify value bets and potentially increase your profits in the long run.

3. You need to be a legend in a specific sport or league: Your focus should be on a few sports or leagues. As it will allow you to develop a deeper understanding of the teams, players, and trends within those specific areas. In the end, this can give you an edge when making predictions.

4. Comparing odds from different betting platforms: This is one of the rarest situations. There are instances when betting platforms may offer varying odds for the same event. The best practice is to always compare odds across multiple platforms, which gives you the opportunity to find the best value and maximize your potential returns.

5. Take a systematic approach: Avoid pursuing losses by sticking to a specified plan or method. Discipline in your betting approach and it does improve your long-term prospects of winning.

Following these methods and constantly improving your skills will allow you to improve your betting talents and raise your chances of winning more bets over time. Remember that sports betting does require patience, discipline, and dedication to make it profitable.

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: May 31, 2023, 01:11:13 PM
I was browsing on the internet and stumble upon this article and found out that there are three kinds of gamblers. They are Professional gamblres, social gamblers and problem gamblers. The first two are okay but the third one which is the problem gamblers are the ones who are struggling with this addiction.

So I asked myself what behaviour would suggest that an individual is a problem gambler. Did some research and found many behaviour that suggest an individual is struggling with gambling addiction. Out of those I found the following five behaviours to be most common ones in a problem gambler.

  • Preoccupation with gambling.
  • The urge to increase wagers to achieve the same level of excitement.
  • Having difficulty in controlling, cutting back, or stopping gambling despite several attempts.
  • Lying about gambling activities.
  • Borrowing money to gamble.

As gambling addiction can be a challenging issue that can have a very harmful impact on an individual's life. it is always recommended to find a professional helpb rather struggling with it. Do you agree with those behaviours? If not then you can suggest some, that can be added to this topic.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: May 30, 2023, 01:33:17 PM
With technological advancements, a gambler can now enjoy his favorite casino game from the comfort of his home and even on the go. Convenience, accessibility, and expanding selection of online gambling platforms are sure to entice more players in the coming years. What do you think will be the subsequent big adoption in the Gambling industry in the future?

According to my understanding, there are two important innovations that will be adopted by the Gambling industry.

VR/AR Casinos:

Apple is in the process of launching its own VR/AR headset. After the release, I reckon that  Virtual Reality casinos will get a boost and will revolutionize the way we experience the thrill of the game. Imagine being transported to a virtual casino floor. With realistic sights and sounds, and interacting with other players from around the world.  I am assuming that VR technology is poised to create an immersive gambling experience like never before.

AI:

AI is gaining a lot of momentum in different business sectors. Considering its ability I guess casinos can use AI to monitor, analyze betting patterns, detect fraud, and prevent multiple security issues from AI bots. I do feel this technology might have been already implemented by gambling platforms. If a user can easily create bots to generate profits then casinos can also do the same for security purposes.

19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Crypto VS Fiat Online Gambling as per Google trends on: May 12, 2023, 01:24:15 PM
Recently I was fiddling with Google Trends. I did a random trend search with the keyword crypto gambling and found out it was doing quite well. Then I thought about comparing it with USD gambling. The results make me realize that crypto gambling is more popular than fiat gambling online.

For those who are not able to understand the above graph. The following image provides you with your answer.

I know what the topic is about but my curiosity led me to ask myself which cryptocurrency is mainly used for online gambling. I found out that Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum are the most popular crypto for gambling.

The next question that came to my mind was why users tend to ignore stablecoin (USDT). My reasoning was that they provide an absolute figure of your win/loss. I understand why Bitcoin is the most popular crypto on gambling platforms.

What I did not understand is why to use Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum. Why not use crypto with a cheap transaction fee and instant transfer? Before I end I have another question for those who are constantly gambling. Which is your most preferred cryptocurrency for gambling?
20  Local / India / UP Board introduces crypto & others tech for class 9 to 12. on: May 09, 2023, 10:25:17 AM
The revised syllabus will be implemented for the current academic session, which is 2023-24. I was hoping for an update from CBSE, but as usual, they are late in implementing new curriculum. Currently, they are busy reshaping the history books for the same classes.

Instead of focusing on new technology-based education, they are working on a different aspect of education. I don't want to criticize them, but they need to prioritize technology above history. After all, India wants to become a 5 trillion dollar economy. If anyone has access to those UP Board books, please share them with us.
