1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Radeon 4850 Crashing at Mining on: July 15, 2011, 11:31:01 AM
hey,

i just installed a 4850 radeon card, installed the newest drivers from ATI with SDK2.4 and tried to mine. First, I started DiabloMiner

Code:
DiabloMiner-Windows --url http://xxx:yyy@zzz.net:8421/ -w 64 -d

command line popped up but something was wrong, the driver crashed, display was refreshed and the computer did not react for some secs. So I tried with Phoenix to get another impression. Ran Phoenix with

Code:
phoenix -u http://xxx:yyy@zzz.net:8421/ -k poclbm -v -a 1

got the error message no device found. So I have added DEVICE=0. Miner was now working but after 15 secs the driver crashed again and now I had like 1 Frame per 15 Seconds. Seemed like driver was crashing all the time even though miner was stopped again. I somehow managed to restart my computer during that mess, but when Windows 7 was loaded it started to do the same again without any miner running. After like 5 mins it kinda switched to normal mode again and I tried once again phoenix miner with BFI_INT VECTORS parameters, but obviously same happening.

Anyone knows what could be wrong with the card?
2  Bitcoin / Pools / BTCServ - [hacked / for now down] on: July 08, 2011, 06:31:33 PM
BTCServ - Official Forum Thread

Website: btcserv.net
IRC Channel: #BTCServ on Freenode
Current PPS: 0.0000382342

Why Us?
Since our launch in July we have steadily increasing hash rate, page visits and user signups. Feedback was almost exclusively positive, but many people probably got bored because of the little hash power in the beginning. However, hash power increased and we have a stable base of around 20 GH/s now and our pool is growing more and more. Give us a chance, point your miners to our pool and I am certain that BTCServ will solve way more blocks in near future than currently.

Features
  • Fairest Reward System: Pay-Per-Share - Hopping Proof
  • Native Long Polling for Low Stale Percentage
  • Auto-Payments (Full Precision)
  • SSL Encrypted User Interface with Statistics
  • Android App
  • High Support Availability in #BTCServ Freenode

Pay-Per-Share (PPS)
Our PPS is the fairest system available because you receive an almost exact compensation of what your shares are worth. Solving a Block has a 1 / Difficulty chance for every share and we pay 50 / Difficulty for your share. Simple and effective.

  • Fairste Reward System: Pay-Per-Share - Hopping Sicher
  • Native Long Polling Für niedrige Anzahl an ungültigen Shares
  • Automatische Auszahlungen
  • Selbst gemachte Webseite mit UserInterface und Statistiken
  • Android App

Pay-Per-Share (PPS)
