1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Cointerra "Load Balance" strategy never worked, HELP on: August 18, 2014, 08:31:29 AM
Hi,

I was hopeing to use the "balance" or "load balance" strategy so that I can make my miner mines at different pools to even out the luck factor.

However, it never worked on my Terraminer... Even after I set the "balance" option or "load balance", the stupid Terraminer still keeps on mining at the "priority 1" mine only ......

Can anybody teach me how to fix it so that I can have my terraminer mining at multipools???
2  Bitcoin / Pools / Newbie to P2Pool, Seek Help for Setup on: August 11, 2014, 06:30:42 AM
Hi, I have read about how to download the bitcoin client and setup a node for mining with P2Pool.

I have been mining all way with through with pools, so not too confident and not sure if I've misunderstood this.

Are these the steps to set it up?:

1. download Bitcoin Core (
2. update Bitcoin Core
3. download P2Pool files, and modify the Bitcoin Core files according to what p2pool.in says
4. run P2Pool and Bitcoin Core together

5. run my miners, point to my own IP address, with worker as my wallet address ....

Is that it?  So I will kinda like need my own IP address, and start my own website / pool node? .... Is there more convenient and safe ways?

I have tested with P2Pool.org, and that seems quite convenient. 2% fee.  However I see only a very small portion of P2Pool users on P2Pool.org.  I wonder, are the remaining bulk of P2Pool users managing their own nodes, or are there other major nodes out there?
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Jump Start PSU Trick for Antminer S3 on: August 04, 2014, 01:57:07 AM
Hi friends,

I know this might have already popped up somewhere in the S3 topics, but there are just too much to go through all.

I have my S3s arrived yesterday, but some of my PSU just won't start properly even with the paper clip trick.

I have cut the paper clips, and plug them into the ATX to connect the "green and black" wires.  However, some PSU started, 1 just goes on and off ... to me, it seems there is a contact problem, but it is so strange.  From visual there should not be a contact issue.  Furthermore even when I "pull out and push in again" the clip, it won't start, sometimes, but sometimes it has response as I draw the clip out.

Any special "little trick" when making the paper clip jump starter?  Should I make it longer or shorter, push it all in or leave it slightly detached?

Furthermore, one of the working PSU gets pretty hot, while others are cool.  Fans are running ... should there be a problem with the PSUs?
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Question on Shipping Cointerra Machines, Any Lithium Battery?? on: July 25, 2014, 04:54:27 AM
Hi, i wish to sell some of my miners , namely Cointerra machines.  As my post office restrict air parcel containing litheum battery, may I ask whether the components in the machines ( or other miners out there ) contains any litheum ??

I understand computers usually have some capacitor, not sure if those are lithium...
