1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / eBay Now Doing Exclusive NFT Sales? on: May 24, 2022, 11:07:08 AM
Since when did eBay enter the NFT game? Just saw a big banner on their homepage advertising exclusive Wayne Gretzky NFTs which I thought was pretty cool. Best of all, most have already sold out! I don't see how anyone on the internet could not know what eBay is these days, so I consider this a pretty good thing in terms of making NFTs more available to the public and maybe even peek some new interest. If you don't know who Wayne Gretzky is, he's one of the best hockey players of all time. If you watch sports and live in a country that has hockey, then you know who The Great One is....
2  Economy / Digital goods / [FOR SALE] Crypto Website Directory on: May 16, 2022, 03:25:40 AM
Website: CryptoWebDirectory.com

I created this website in early 2021 to give project developers and other crypto-related websites a place they could get listed to get additional exposure for their projects. As the domain suggests, this is a website where people can submit their crypto-related website, token or other project and have it listed with a backlink going back to their website.

Domain is registered with DynaDot and the site runs Wordpress. If someone wants to have their website listed they will use the contact form to reach you via email. Once you collect payment from them just take the information they send you (which I also explain is required on the Add Your Listing page) and put it into a new post like you would any new blog post in Wordpress. I currently have the price of a listing set at $25USD but you could make this whatever you want.

Price: $100 (Bitcoin/Litecoin)

Contact me if you have any other questions. Thanks!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [2022-01-04] Blockchain gaming community raises $1.4M to help typhoon victims on: January 04, 2022, 10:50:25 AM
I don't hold any $YGG, but I think a special shout out to Yield Guild Games (YGG) is due for putting this kind of thing together. It's heartwarming to see a community come together to help typhoon victims. Donations reached $1.4 million which can do a lot of good!

Gamers united to help with the relief and rebuilding efforts for victims of typhoon Rai, also known as typhoon Odette, in the Philippines.

The Philippines, a country that’s already been struggling to get back on its feet because of COVID-19, has been hit by a catastrophic super typhoon. Back on Dec. 16, 2021, the typhoon hit landfall and went on a rampage for four days, leaving 334 cities and municipalities in a state of calamity.

As of Jan. 1, more than 4 million individuals were either displaced or injured, with 407 dead and 88 still missing, according to the Philippines’ National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

A day after the typhoon hit the country, play-to-earn gaming group Yield Guild Games (YGG) organized a donation drive to help the victims get relief and rebuild.

Quote
The response was overwhelmingly positive. Gamers paused and saved to take a moment to contribute. Leading the relief efforts, YGG Philippines country manager Luis Buenaventura told Cointelegraph that with the help of the community, donations reached $1.4 million.

“Within the first hour we had exceeded $100k, and within the first day, we were at $300k. It's now been three weeks and donations continue to come in. As of yesterday, we've raised over $1.4M purely from community crypto donations,” said Buenaventura.

Quote
Buenaventura said that they were able to reach 1,600 households and have enough resources to cover at least another 3,000. “Although that may sound like a lot, initial estimates indicate that over 55,000 homes were destroyed by the typhoon so we still have a long way to go,” he added.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Your thoughts on Chromia ($CHR)? on: January 04, 2022, 09:51:39 AM
This project has been ranked around the 150 mark on CMC for a little while now and I'm curious how many others out there are aware of it? The project itself is pretty cool, they apparently have their own blockchain and have been getting some popular games like My Neighbor Alice already developed on it. I bought some in early December and it's on the way back up now, I'd be curious if anyone else on the board is aware of their technology and if so, what they might think we could see $CHR reach in 2022?

They've got an excellent following on Twitter with over 138k followers. But even with over 100k followers, a $900mm fully diluted market cap and a current #141 ranking on CoinMarketCap - the token just barely crossed the 10,000 holder mark...

Here's the current chart...
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Question about Dev Wallet Checker/Rug Check on PooCoin on: December 30, 2021, 04:19:41 AM
I've found PooCoin to be a great resource for looking up things like liquidity on BSC tokens. I recently noticed they have a section where you can check the developers wallet for activity. PooCoin calls this Rug Check (https://poocoin.app/rugcheck/).. Has anyone used this before? What kind of flags should one look for to determine if a project has higher potential for a rug pull or scam?

This seems like a cool little tool put together by the PooCoin team, but they don't do a very good job of explaining the signs you should be looking for. Should we be looking for actions like several transactions being done to create LPs or lots of transactions being sent to the contract? What I'm really trying to figure out is if there is one part/action of this page I should be focusing on to get a sign of whether a particular project has a higher potential of rug pull or scam. Thanks in advance!
6  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-12-15] Analysts expect Bitcoin trend change after Fed lays out its roadmap on: December 16, 2021, 12:24:29 AM
The markets were up today after the Fed confirmed at least three rate hikes and a wind-down of its bond purchasing policy in 2022. Several pseudonymous Twitter users shared some interesting graphs and opinions...

There is a solid base of support near $46,500

A more detailed analysis of the recent price action was offered by options trader and pseudonymous Twitter user John Wick, who posted the following chart highlighting the bullish and bearish reversals that have occurred over the past two weeks.

The analyst said,
“Been staring at this the past few days. Not saying this will happen, but I certainly see a similarity now as compared to back in Sept. of this year."
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Question about Unmineable.. on: December 12, 2021, 06:47:42 AM
I recently started using Unmineable to earn SHIB by mining on a few extra PC's I have laying around. As of now, the minimum payout for SHIB on the site is 1,500,000. The high number makes sense when you consider the cost of SHIB right now, but obviously by running only on PC's and not GPU's it's going to take a really long time to reach the 1.5 million mark. I'm okay with that if sometime down the line (should SHIB rise to say $0.005 or even $0.01) they lower the minimum payout amount. Has anyone ever seen Unmineable do such a thing before? If I start mining and choose to receive an extremely low trading coin (like SHIB) and that coin eventually goes up, will Unmineable drop the minimum payout amount?

My concern is, lets say I run the miner on a few PCs for like 6 months and manage to earn 100,000 SHIB. Then, SHIB magically soars to $0.005 and suddenly (because of it's price) I'm not earning as much per day as I am right now, and yet I'm still way off from the 1.5 million. However, my 100k SHIB at $0.005 is now worth $500 (way more than what 1.5 million SHIB converts to right now)... If this were to happen do you think Unmineable would drop the minimum payout threshold for SHIB, or keep it the same? If there is no chance they ever drop the minimum payout then I might as well stop mining with them unless I get a GPU...
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Selfdrop List for FREE Binance Coin (BSC) Tokens on: November 22, 2021, 11:08:31 AM
This thread is a continuation of a previous BSC selfdrop list thread here on Bitcointalk. In the previous thread, some users were requesting additional information for each token (market cap, holders..etc) and that's what I'm going to include in the new list of BSC token selfdrops here. Keep in mind, this new list will not contain any of the tokens listed in the previous thread because I've already claimed them all and am unsure which ones are still working.

Just to recap, selfdrops are similar to airdrops but without all of the steps (sharing, referring..etc) and best of all, tokens are delivered instantly. Instead of doing tasks for tokens like you would in an airdrop, you simply send 0 BNB (Binance Smart Chain) to the contract address and will then instantly receive your tokens (you must pay the gas fees).

Some users think selfdrops (and airdrops) are a waste of time, and for some people it might be. If you want to claim these tokens you won't have to pay anything for the tokens themselves (you're sending 0 BNB). However, you will have to pay gas fees which tend to range between $0.20 USD and $0.30 USD each. Much like airdrops, most of these coins are still very new and there is no guarantee they will ever take off. However, I can tell you if you lookup the tokens inside the previous thread you will notice at least a few of them have built some market cap and are beginning to establish themselves. Although most probably won't make it, you're paying a small fee to get some free tokens and maybe one of them will moon at some point. For larger investors, this list might not be worth your time. But for smaller investors still trying to expand their blockfolio, this might be something you want to take advantage of. I've recently claimed each of the ones listed below, so all of them should be working as of writing this. Feel free to take advantage of them while you can!

There are two simple ways to tell if the selfdrop is still active or not:
1. When you go to send 0 bnb, the transaction fee should be at least $0.20 USD (at least, that's what it is in Trust Wallet). If it's something really low like $0.06, it will not go through.
2. Look at the BSC Scan page and see when the last person sent 0 bnb to the address (and it was confirmed)..If lots of people have been sending 0 BNB and they've all been confirmed, the selfdrop is likely still working.

Enjoy!
