2  Economy / Marketplace / [SELLING] Radeon 5970 - EU, PL or other country on: March 04, 2011, 03:56:43 AM
Hello, I had hard time tracking any Radeons 5970 when I bought them in last weeks, it was worse and worse, here in Poland.
In shops I didnt find basically any for sale, except ~1000 USD models (with fancy cooling or 4 GB).

Recently though I found few, so perhaps someone wants to also buy them.

I do not know if that price is a very good deal, because I see much lower prices like at ebay etc, but perhaps this is not true for EU countries, or most of the shops advertise but actually say item not in stock... or perhaps just PL is unlucky Wink

* why wait for the card to be delivered 1, 2 weeks - each week means many blocks less!
* avoid problems with Taxes and customs (especially in PL)

Smiley

Anyway, here we go:

Item 1)
Mines at 590-600 MHash/sec - Radeon 5970 (2 GB).
Rock-stable at 585 Mhash/sec (@799 clock) even with Desktop Use in same time; Overall stable at @805, @810. As tested by my dear friend Wink
Perhaps overclockable to more when running headless or better cooling.
Used. But fan still works fine.
Verified to work well in linux/bitcoin at 585 MHash/sec + desktop use.

READY FOR SALE: NOW delivered in 3 business days in Poland (I send it probably within 48h from receiving BTC, delivery should be 12-48h depending on type/price. PM me for details! e.g. on weekends someone may not be availble like me or friend or card owner etc).
To EU or other I can send in 1-4 days since ordering.
PL price is 1800 PLN, this is base for other prices.
~640 USD  (or BTC equiv., or EUR/USD/PLN/GBP£ bank wire, or perhaps PLN/GBP£ cash)
or ~500 USD if I have 3 weeks to deliver.

Or 50 BTC for information - contact to the seler (person in PL. they will probably want cash in advance. Price could be negotiated probably -30 .. -40 USD. They will not accept BTC).

(Item2 - No longer available... heh last 2 pieces where gone in less then 5 days... crazy)

Item 2)
Radeon 5970 (2 GB).
Brand new with warranty, you get reciept/bill etc.
Warranty - Poland, but if you ever have trouble we can agree I re-buy it at market prices and RMA it myself here, although transport is on you. But perhaps international warranty would work.
READY FOR SALE: NOW delivered in 7 days in Poland. To other EU - the 7 days plus shipment from Poland.
890 USD  (or BTC equiv., or EUR/USD/PLN/GBP£ bank wire, or perhaps PLN/GBP£ cash)
or 740 USD if I have 4 weeks to deliver

Or 50 BTC for information - contact to the seler (shop in PL. they will probably want cash in advance. Price could be negotiated probably -30 .. -40 USD. They will not accept BTC).

Btw, if this prices are very bad, then if anyone have a much cheaper (including transport cost, taxes etc) Radeon 5970, that is available to be delivered to Poland in 3-5 days, then I might consider buying too.

But above should be interesting for some, especially for a Polish or EU buyer.

3  Economy / Marketplace / Selling 600 BTC (or less) @ 0.8.. ?? - European EUR/USD/PLN account on: February 23, 2011, 03:47:58 AM
Hello,
I am selling 600 btc (smaller amount also possible).

Please propose your price (here on form, or forum PM, or IRC user johnyh PM - do not confuse with unrelated user johny, or jabber - see my signature) and we will trade.

At time of writing this message mtgox price is @0.86 .. @0.95 with 600 btc depth.
We will pick best offer today (during ~24 hours from posting this offer).

Please write your price @0....USD or EUR or PLN (and amount if other then 600 btc) considering following:
- the buyer is covering any costs like of bank wire, and wire is sent with Costs on Sender (not on Recipient nor Shared)!
- the payment is done up front, then I sent BTC when it arrives,
  - except: if you have good trust (many ratings -otc from ops/devels/top10 users) then I send 50% BTC, on confirm you send all money, and I sent rest BTC on money arrival
  - also, I done some smaller and bigger deals (30,30,150,1000 mostly) and all was fine (trust link in sign) but if needed perhaps your security can be asserted more (e.g. I first send to some top10 user the coins or something)

If any questions then just contact and ask Smiley  We need to cach this 600 btc (togeather or in parts) soon.

Fastest way in case of questions is to PM on IRC johnyh user and jabber (I may be AFK then I write back later). I will notify here when the deal is closed.

4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Overtaking the network - like tesnet on: January 16, 2011, 11:17:37 AM
Testnet is broken because too much power was puten there (thanks Xelister 1 and Artfortz 8 of 5970's Wink

It will take apparently months (with 1 5970) to reset diff to be usable by CPUs.

Is this design flaw? I think so.

Solution: lower diff also each say 72 hours passing with too few (or none!) blocks.

Also disallow overtaking network and forcing switch to own version of chain - with like totally other history for last 1 week, or 1 month, or even since the begining!
Solution: use more anchors (e.g. fixed points in chain on which everyone agrees).
Not only in source code but also distribute them. Say each 2 days?
