261  Other / Off-topic / [2018-05-16] Another Facebook Scandal. New data leak. on: May 16, 2018, 02:16:00 PM
Today we have again the same: another leak in Facebook has exposed the intimate data of over 3 million people. Again, this has been possible by an app, but this time a personality one, in which some sensible data is involved.
Of course, there is a new investigation on the way, and it is probably quite old, for the app was developed in 2007.

Here the link to one of the papers (the new is everywhere): http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-5730671/Intimate-details-3-MILLION-users-exposed-new-Facebook-data-leak.html

This is another example of how the people don't care about sharing personal data, even when are related to their personal details and their phycological profile. Whatever Facebook is or not guilty (I think a further investigation should be done on Google as well) what concerns me, again, is the use the people make of such a site.
I don't have a Facebook account due to all the fake news spread in there as a virus, but I can't understand how people don't care even a bit in what they share and why they are willing to tell a platform where do they eat, who are their relatives, where do they go, what do they like...
- Are we living in a society obsessed with obtaining some pathetic "likes"?
- Can the surveillance be stopped in any sense when is your own brother who, happily, takes a picture of you and put it on a platform for everyone to see it, telling the world where and when did you be?
- All those scandals, will awake the people?

What do you think about Facebook and those scandals? Do you believe there is something going on against Facebook? Or, on the contrary, do you believe this is well-deserved and they must be closed down? Why are the people willing to do such tests, to share anything related to their intimacy and their relative's one? Is that the "Brave new world" we are bulding?
262  Other / New forum software / New feature request: a "Report merit abuse button" on: May 05, 2018, 05:58:28 PM
Given the number of farming accounts we have in here, I think this is going to be really useful to the forum system.
What I suggest is to implement a button in each profile in which you can report to mods a possible merit abuse activity, because:
1.- It will ease the work and it will be easier to detect farming alts.
2.- It will clean the meta section of all these accusations against merit abusers (we all see each day new topics related to the point and this is kind of annoying).
3.- It will be under moderation, for not all the accusations related to merit are true.

Well, just an idea. Share your thoughts.

That's the amount a hacker generate multiple times with this kind of transactions...

https://etherscan.io/tx/0x1abab4c8db9a30e703114528e31dee129a3a758f7f8abc3b6494aad3d304e43f

So, it's time to talk about the CVE-2018–10299

As we can see in the article: https://medium.com/coinmonks/alert-new-batchoverflow-bug-in-multiple-erc20-smart-contracts-cve-2018-10299-511067db6536 there was a batchOverflow Bug in Multiple ERC20 Smart Contracts

Quote
The vulnerable function is located in batchTransfer and the code is shown in Figure 2. As indicated in line 257, the amount local variable is calculated as the product of cnt and _value. The second parameter, i.e., _value, can be an arbitrary 256 bits integer, say 0x8000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000,0000(63 0’s). By having two _receivers passed into batchTransfer(), with that extremely large _value, we can overflow amount and make it zero. With amount zeroed, an attacker can then pass the sanity checks in lines 258–259 and make the subtraction in line 261 irrelevant. Finally, here comes the interesting part: as shown in lines 262–265, the balance of the two receivers would be added by the extremely large _value without costing a dime in the the attacker’s pocket!

Personally i think ETH lose respect since DAO, and now it proves again how risk is to deal with smart contracts... The problem about them is the smart hackers  Tongue

So, i want to know what people think about this issue and the monumental amount of money made from nowhere.
264  Other / Serious discussion / Comments: Facebook's Zuckerberg appears before Senate panel ... on: April 10, 2018, 08:46:00 PM
It is happening right now: Mark Zuckerberg is being asked by the Senate about the Facebook personal data issue.

Well, to me this is a historical event, where many stuff of matter is being discussed:
- The privacy of Facebook. When you open your Facebook account, there are several rules (nobody reads them, apparently) where it is specified that all the data you provide will be immediately belonging to Facebook. Even when you delete your account they still store some of your data, but to what end?
- The Facebook mobile app also asks you about having access to your phone data (contacts, ok, but also your personal call history). This is being discussed as I write these lines for, What's the point of doing so?
- The Cambridge Analytica scandal just has thrown some light upon the Facebook's lack of confidentiality. But the discuss having place right now is going much further. How can Facebook team accept the legal conditions of the Alexander Kogan's quiz, even when it was clearly breaking the Facebook "law"?

Mark Zuckerberg is clearly having a bad time in trying to persuade the Senators of the goodwill of his enterprise. But, to me, it goes really far, and I have many many questions:

- Is an enterprise as Facebook responsible for the content people publish on the platform? If I have a private message app, then can I be responsible for what kind of messenger the people sent to each other?
- Is the free of expression more important than the harm it can provoke? For instance, look at how many teenagers have committed suicide due to the cyberbullying they receive from other users. There is some kind of response from the developers?
 - If anyone is making rich by convincing people to share their personal data, can it be fraudulent in any sense?

Some previous thoughts:

- People do not read anymore. They just share whatever they want in order to get some recognition from the people surrounding. The "like" system is certainly sick, but the users and abusers of it are just as much sick as the concept itself. The people is not concerned about their own privacy or even their closed people one. So... Is it a company trouble or a social one?
- If I share anything on the internet, for sure it can be used in many ways. It is how the internet works. So, is the problem about Facebook, or this is just the tip of the iceberg and just shows how little society is prepared for this kind of platforms.

I don't use Facebook. I despise all related to the platform, but, in many ways, I believe this is a historical event. One of the biggest American entrepreneurs is on a trial for "selling data".

What do you think? I personally believe it can be a great debate about the use of the internet and the collect of data.

Nevertheless, It seems kind of ironic the US government is so against Facebook now, even when they ask you to show your social media app when you trespass their boards...
And also, all the senators questioning Zuckerbergs' platform use Facebook to their campaigns...

265  Other / Beginners & Help / A small guide about merits (edited-new ideas added) on: April 09, 2018, 04:06:23 PM
Well, since the begging system (sorry, the Merit system) was implemented, every day we all see new threads asking, begging, getting desperate about how to get those appreciate numbers under the users' names. For those all that feel they deserve merits but, for some reasons, they don't get it, and with the purpose of helping to stop these kinds of threads, here goes some (useful??) advice:

1. When you enter into a community that happens to be there for years, you should be patient. I mean: just read, and learn all that you can about it before even trying to get your place in there. Show some respect for the work of the other users, for they have been in there for years, and you can't just be at the same level by a week of work. So, first advice: be respectful and humble.

2. Asking for some recognition is not going anyway. As much as you ask for something you don't deserve, the less respect you will receive, so, second advice: never beg for merits.

3. The forum is a very big place with a lot of hidden corners, so just explore it fully in order to find where you can be a useful person. Third advice, then: explore the forum.

4. I have done threads offering merits in exchange of knowledge, but most of the people didn't even read well the instructions, and they posted whatever they wanted, most of them off-topic. So, fourth advice: always read well before answering.and, of course, Don't post unless you have something to say.

5. The merit system is relatively new for all. It will need some time to be fully understood and well-implement. Also, many people here are just getting desperate for they don't receive merits, so, fifth advice: do not get desperated. The most you obsessed with merit, the less you will receive. Just chill for a while, relax and read.

6. There are some new users writing really constructive threads, and they have been rewarded. Explore, again, the forum, and learn from them. So, in the sixth place, learn from other users.One example: there are some users here trying to really help Newbies to improve their skills. This is the case of Jet Cash, who has created this website https://fittotalk.com/english-talk/index.php for you people to learn how to write good posts in English.

7. Take care of your personal posting activity. Before meriting someone, most of us always take a look at his/her posting activity in the users profile. This is because the merited people (at least under my consideration) must have a good attitude towards the forum. If your posting activity sucks, probably you will not receive merits as spected.

8. Never NEVER commit plagiarism. If you find something of interest on the internet, then share your thoughts, maybe a resume and then give the link to the original. Copy-pasting will never receive merits, and, also, you can be banned for that.

Of course, there are too many other pieces of advice I can think about. For instance, the language issue. I am not a native-English-speaker, so every day, I try to study and improve it a bit. How? By reading in English (newspapers, books, etc), by studying the English Grammar (there is some app, like Wlingua, really useful to learn a bit per day). If you want to write in another language, then you will need some study (Google translator doesn't work, folks, just try a bit harder). Hey, my English is far from being perfect, but, at least, I do my best!

The biggest problem most of the beggers have is money: they come here into the forum seeking to earn some bitcoin. Well, people, it will take a while, and you will need to work hard. You can't just go into a place and say "Hey, give me some money, I know nothing, I am not willing to learn nothing, but I deserve it!!!"... Um... nop, it just can't work!! So, if you are here just because you think this is going to be easy to earn money, then first learn about Bitcointalk, ok? For in here you have a lot of useful information about cryptoworld and, for sure, you will find your own path if you are willing to learn.

So, last advice: just LEARN. This is free, people, free!

266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Share your BTC knowledge for Merits. How to earn Bitcoins on the Internet? on: March 06, 2018, 02:12:52 AM
I will give Merits for those all who show me some real ways to earn BTC on the Internet without investing. This is not about:
- Talking about mining
- Neither Investing
The point is to make a research about websites, or other ways to earn BTC on the Internet.
What I seeking here is for people to share their ways to get some free BTC. The creative ones will be recompensated with merits, of course, if the answer is useful to earn Bitcoins.

Here go some basic rules:
- All users are welcomed (does not matter the rank)
- There are no limits, I will give merits to all valuable, thoughtful and interesting proposal.
- I encourage other members to give merits too to those posts which deserve the recognition.

This is not a merit selling or something related to it. It is just a way to encourage users to think and generate useful content for everybody here (everyone loved to earn some free BTC!!!).

ICOs do not belong here. Neither trading, mining, signature campaigns, faucets, scamming and such kind of stuff. Just be creative and share the ways you use to win some BTC.

I will start. My ways to get some free bitcoins are these ones:

1.- Freerolls on Nitrogensports.eu
They offer poker freerolls on  Monday (50mbtc), Wednesday(200mbtc), Friday(50mbtc)

2.-Freerolls on betking.io
They offer freerolls every day for 5mbtc.

268  Economy / Gambling / Just-Dice BOT * Martingale at 2.3% * on: June 21, 2016, 08:01:33 PM
Hello guys, yesterday was the Just-Dice bday, congrats for that ^_^ and i create a crazy bot who make martingale at 2.3% with iMacros and JS.

I make a bot who martingale at 2.3% chance to win and 5% increment after lost, it start at 10500 clamoshis, and with 0.2741 bank-roll you have the chance to bet 100 times.

Te code work easy, just run the next iMacros:

Code:
var y = 0.0001;
macro0 =  "CODE:";
macro0 +=  "SET !EXTRACT_TEST_POPUP NO" + "\n";
macro0 +=  "WAIT SECONDS=2" + "\n";
macro0 +=  "SET !EXTRACT NULL" + "\n";
macro0 +=  "TAG POS=1 TYPE=SPAN ATTR=CLASS:myprofit EXTRACT=TXT" + "\n";
macro0 +=  "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT ATTR=ID:pct_chance CONTENT=2.3" + "\n";
iimPlay(macro0);
var r = iimGetLastExtract();
while(true) {
var macro1;
macro1 =  "CODE:";
macro1 +=  "SET !EXTRACT_TEST_POPUP NO" + "\n";
macro1 +=  "WAIT SECONDS=2" + "\n";
macro1 +=  "SET !EXTRACT NULL" + "\n";
macro1 +=  "TAG POS=1 TYPE=SPAN ATTR=CLASS:myprofit EXTRACT=TXT" + "\n";
iimPlay(macro1);
var s = iimGetLastExtract();
var j = 0.05;
y = y + (y * j)
var k = (y).toFixed(8)
var macro2;
macro2 =  "CODE:";
macro2 +=  "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT ATTR=ID:pct_bet CONTENT="+ k + "\n";
macro2 +=  "TAG POS=1 TYPE=BUTTON ATTR=ID:a_lo" + "\n";
macro2 +=  "WAIT SECONDS=1" + "\n";
var macro3;
macro3 =  "CODE:";
macro3 +=  "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT ATTR=ID:pct_bet CONTENT=0.0001" + "\n";
macro3 +=  "WAIT SECONDS=2" + "\n";
if(parseFloat(s) <= parseFloat(r)) {
var r = s;
    iimPlay(macro2);
}
if(parseFloat(s) > parseFloat(r)) {
var r = s;
var y = 0.0001;
    iimPlay(macro3);
}
}

*The file need to be *.js

It work the next way:

  • *Start martingale at 2.3%
  • *Iincreases by 5% every loses
  • *After win return to base bet

If you want to know how much the long run cost, you can use this script:

Quote
Code:
[Linux@Usr ~]$ x=0.0001; y=$x; for a in $(seq 1 100); do x=$(echo "$x+($x*0.05)" | bc -l); echo "0$x" | cut -c1-10; y=$(echo "$y+$x" | bc -l); done; echo "Total spend"; echo $y #0.003

Where:

  • x = startng bet
  • "seq 1 100" = number of bets
  • "*0.05" = increment after lost

With this bot i have some nice results:

Now the code is open source and any one can make his own version, enjoy it  Cheesy.

271  Economy / Speculation / There is not enough bitcoins for everyone... on: August 18, 2015, 04:24:16 PM
There is not enough bitcoins for everyone and that is why it's impossible for bitcoin to substitute the cash economy...

 Just think about this:

Quote
A pre-defined schedule limits the total number of bitcoins so that they gradually approach a total of 21 million (ignoring those that have been lost through deleted or misplaced wallet files)
Total bitcoins: 21,000,000

Total humans: 7,360,837,156

That mean 0.002852 btc/human

but the total humans number is going up in the time. There is not enough btc for all.
272  Other / Meta / Spam Bot to Hack users on the Forum on: August 07, 2015, 04:07:23 PM
Hi to all bitcoin users.

A guy has been hacking lots of users and stealing lots of bitcoins from this site and gambling sites. The modus operandi is basic, he spam a message about cloud mining offering 0.5 btc for free... You Open the page and download the Mining software, double click and boom! you have a nice trojan on your pc.

The problem is when the scam got automated... the fucking hacker only need to run a script to start spamming on gabling sites, and post the same thread in all the forum sections:

I know some of the forum rules, and one of them is to not erase scams to have it as an evidence... but if the forum will allow bots to spam as hell with the goal to hack the users, then this will become a not cool place.

At last you could give a warning or make the moderators of each section give a warning about this, because if you the forum owners and moderators only will stay there and watch how the users got hacked, then the moderators on the forum are nonsense.

I hope to not offence the forum staff, but how can you stay there just watching while a hacker is spreading a trojan over the site? that's not cool  Undecided

Betcoin Robert
then I will check it

and my managers will approve it at least tomorrow
tornado
you have the worst support ever... you don't fix my problem, you delay it

Betcoin Robert left the chat

Relevant points:

1.- They have no reason to hold 3 days the money, if you want to hold users money, then pay them intesrest; Money + Time = Interest.

2.- They cancel my withdraw and i never request that.

3.- The support hang me on the chat.

Really bad support and holding founds for no reason... what a great site.  Grin

And i want to be clear, this is not about money i'm holding a nice amount of btc now and that 0.03 don't make much difference.

This is about a site who think they can fuck his customers and they will keep the silence.

276  Economy / Gambling / Luckyb.it BOT (Bets) - Blockchain + Imacros on: February 28, 2015, 06:36:12 AM
Some months ago i make opensource my codes for automate bets on lucky bit:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=806051.0

But that codes only work for linux users, and was that way because it work with Blockchain and Luckybit API from a command line using curl.

That bot is really nice and can be easy manipulated but is not for windows users, and that is why im back with this new code.

I think about a way to run the same code from Linux, Windows, and Mac. and i got a nice idea for this. Imacros + Blockchain wallet can work good.

Now please see the next video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBPbgNnqcCQ

We only need open Blockchain wallet, and paste the code on a new iMacros file.

In the video we can see the next code:

Code:
VERSION BUILD=8890130 RECORDER=FX

One user ask me for a special bot. He want to send one 0.01 yellow wait and one 0.01 read each 30 secconds. for that we need to change the var "WAIT SECONDS=1" for "WAIT SECONDS=30" and do some copy/paste

The next code will send 20 bets that way:

Code:

279  Economy / Lending / I want to lend 0.025 to get 0.03 in 4 days. on: January 09, 2015, 03:31:11 PM
Hi guys.

I want to lend 0.025 to get back 0.03 the monday or tuesday.

Rules are the basics:

*No Newbies.
*And Valid collateral.

        UPDATE

Gotcha. Unusually when you use the lending section to document a loan like this it is stated that the terms were preneogeoiated and a thread is being made for transparency sake. (And to avoid this kind of confusion)

Good luck with your loan.

Sorry to all, im a new for this.

I make this thread to document a loan for the user Sunderland.

Thx to the forum for this seccion, you make this posible, i close the the thread now.
