BritCoin was launched with true British ethics and values in mind.  Values such as honesty, integrity, accountability and innovation.  This crypto currency can be used and traded by anyone around the world (Johnny Foreigners welcome) and is not restricted to just British users, but our long term goal is to become the leading digital currency within the United Kingdom for individuals and commerce.

We are using the 1% premine (wallet address is public) will be going towards costs associated with developing new features and promotion/marketing.  We have plans to develop payment gateways for online retailers and creation of a bespoke platform for British users to buy BritCoins directly via instant bank transfer.  All of which will cost investment, which is why we require the 1% premine.  Everyone involved with BritCoin is in this for the long haul, this is not in any way another ‘pump and dump’ coin that seems to be rampant in the crypto world right now.  We are 100% committed to making this coin viable for the British general population and commerce, this is what you should expect from BritCoin and we will do our best to deliver.

We have released a July white-paper (link below) which goes into full detail our plans to grow BritCoin in the coming weeks and months.  We will be publishing a monthly white-paper with updates on our progress and futures developments and marketing plans.

In light of the recent VRC - MintPal fiasco, we can assure BritCoin adopters that there is no possibility of us compromising the sanctity of the blockchain and have a strict view on bailing out exchanges.  We believe this creates a dangerous precedent for the future of crypto currency and we firmly stand against the the notion of blockchain rollbacks.

Who are the staff behind BritCoin?

William Thomas (Welsh) - Founder
Steven Russell (English) - Coin developer
Christian Bendiksen (Norwegian) - Designer
Lee Exley - (English) - Media/PR/Marketing

We are always on the look out for new people to join us, please get in touch if you
have any skills that would benefit BritCoin! Thanks.

Archive any pages you want on Bitcointalk here or whatever sites you want. Scammers can delete/hide information but if we archive it, the information will exist forever.

For Bitcointalk, archive the posts of anyone you find suspicious or believe to have malicious intent. You could also record the fudders and day to day cause so that it is preserved for future investigations and research.

Link to the Way Back Machine:
http://archive.org/web/

Data storage is cheap enough that any archived items will exist and be accessible for as long as the internet exists.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why even have an address for tips and/or donations? Not one donates/tips! on: September 13, 2014, 04:02:38 AM
Why include your BTC or whatever altcoin address anywhere for tips and/or donations?

I've never seen someone get tips or donations this way. On reddit, no one donates to the mods except for the /r/Bitcoin mods.

We are all greedy people who never share and horde our coins to make a profit off of each other.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The government is already here! Say hi! on: August 26, 2014, 04:21:51 AM
You guys like to talk badly about the government and how easily you have escape their grasp. But in reality they may have you right under their finger tips and you are too stupid to realize.

By publishing these stories one by one, our NBC reporting highlighted some of the key, discrete revelations: the monitoring of YouTube and Blogger, the targeting of Anonymous with the very same DDoS attacks they accuse “hacktivists” of using, the use of “honey traps” (luring people into compromising situations using sex) and destructive viruses. But, here, I want to focus and elaborate on the overarching point revealed by all of these documents: namely, that these agencies are attempting to control, infiltrate, manipulate, and warp online discourse, and in doing so, are compromising the integrity of the internet itself.

What in the crypto world is like a "honey trap"? Scam coins!

Quote
Among the core self-identified purposes of JTRIG are two tactics: (1) to inject all sorts of false material onto the internet in order to destroy the reputation of its targets; and (2) to use social sciences and other techniques to manipulate online discourse and activism to generate outcomes it considers desirable. To see how extremist these programs are, just consider the tactics they boast of using to achieve those ends: “false flag operations” (posting material to the internet and falsely attributing it to someone else), fake victim blog posts (pretending to be a victim of the individual whose reputation they want to destroy), and posting “negative information” on **various forums**.

I am willing to bet they are already here. They understand how you think, are you able to combat that or will you end up a puppet or a trapped animal? So many things scream **JTRIG** is already here! have fun!

A book all developers should know and utilize:

This book is called the "Art of Deception" written by the NSA and is a great read for any aspiring Altcoin developers or old developers looking to learn new tricks! 12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Prometheus and his group are pumping Keycoin. (Exchange corruption, evidence!) on: July 31, 2014, 04:56:04 AM
Prometheus and his team are behind/involved heavily with Keycoin. They were also involved with Cryptcoin. See how CRYPT turned out. They are pump and dumpers who are very good at convincing people.

I cannot stress enough how good these guys are at convincing you and others to help pump up a coin's price. They are practically expert Pump and Dumpers.

If you do buy any coins they are involved with, do so for a short term gain. These coins are going nowhere.

Edit: Image evidence of their involvement with pumping these coins:

Edit: I am not saying Cryptsy itself is corrupt, but instead I mean a few individuals that associate with and work for them likely are corrupt. The real problem is how much influence the pump and dumper Promotheus and his team get. Prom even got "verified" by Cryptsy staff one night so that people would trust it was him. Prom and his team are scary good and tricking people into buying a certain coin to the point that they can make crazy amounts of money while everyone else looses money. The stupid thing is people keep trusting Prom after every time he burns them and takes their money!
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Does a noob friendly mining program exist? on: July 24, 2014, 08:22:38 PM
I am talking about a program that would identify your computers GPU, CPU, etc... And then allow you to select the coin and the pool you wish to mine.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Which crypto currencies have a built in mining feature in the wallet? on: July 20, 2014, 02:32:52 AM
Which crypto currencies have a built in mining feature in the wallet? Looking for ones that preferably can be mined with multiple medium gaming computers.

I'm not referring to PoS. Just normal mining that can be done really easily because it's a feature in the wallet.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / New subreddit on Reddit for discussing crypto currency related investing! on: May 31, 2014, 12:01:34 AM
I recently started a new subreddit on the forum website Reddit for discussing crypto currency related investing. I created this subreddit after I received many negative replies from regular investing subreddits and sites for mentioning crypto currencies. I have lurked on this forum site for a while reading what people posted without making an account until now. You people seem like this kind of thing would interest you. The subreddit is called /r/CryptoInvesting and has been growing pretty quickly. The link to the subreddit is here: http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoInvesting

If any knowledgeable people want to come post advice or join in on the discussion, that would be awesome!
