Hello,

I tried sending to an address via an NFC tag, but it did not work for me with the latest version of Bitcoin Wallet.

On the tag I have a bitcoin URI, but when I am in the 'Send Bitcoins...' dialog and come close to the tag, the default Android dialog opens and shows the bitcoin URI.

Has anyone successfully started a transaction via NFC on Android 4.4.2?

I am looking for a way to sign the content of (binary) files with my private keys. Almost every client can sign text messages, but I haven't found a solution for signing files.

Any ideas or hints on existing solutions?

so this thought came me earlier this day:
in the future, lets say 2015, bitcoin mining is entirely done by high performance asic devices, which are developed only for mining bitcoin, so they have lots of sha256 cores. since it is an asic, the algorithm used to mine coins can not be changed.

then crypto researchers breal sha256, the bitcoin protocal gets attacked and the devs decide to move to a stronger algorithm. all the asics become totally worthless, the total hashrate drops by 99.99%.

what are your thoughts, especially regarding the bitcoin price?

i just compared these two pictures and noticed a little something:

Picture 2: 2 day closing price on mtgoxUSD, 15-min interval

notice, in the 5-min interval picture you see a 5.5k dump at 12:00pm, but in the 15-min interval it is shown as a 5.5k buy.

das sieht ja recht einfach aus, man gibt den gewünschten betrag ein und nach überweisung erhält man mtgox redeem-codes in USD.

recently i found this fpga-board, optimized for cryptocraphic calculations.
it only requires a power source and a usb-cable, no jtag required. you get mining software and firmware for the fpga for free, hashrate is described at typical 190 MHs/s.

power consumption is 8 watt. one con seems to be the price, which is at almost 400€.

has anyone in this forum experiences with this board?

weiß jemand, wie es möglich ist, von der postbank aus eine überweisung zu mtgox via "international wire", also SWIFT, zu tätigen?
nachdem die SEPA-option entfernt wurde, ist das für mich die einzige möglichkeit, geld zu mtgox zu verschieben.

es geht um die machenschaften von paypal und verschiedene alternativen werden präsentiert, auch die "so genannte Hackerwährung" Bitoin.
der abschnitt über bitcoin ist zwar extrem kurz, allerdings immerhin eine erwähnung auf einer website mit dem durchsatz wie golem.de.
