1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coin Devs??? Can you help a fellow Dev Out??? Just a Question on: August 25, 2014, 09:57:08 AM
Im working on an upgrade, everything apprears to work fine. Except that Block finding client recieves 0 reward while test solo mining. Debug log shows the Block value and its accepted, but transactions and balance remain at 0.

Can someone point me in the right area to look or some ideas to why  the block shows reward but none is given.*

Is there a way not to build the Viking Coin_QT test and create the Release only. I have tried everything to get this compiled correctly.

Config seems to place it in the src dir.
ac_config_headers="$ac_config_headers src/vikingcoin-config.h"

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Feel Bad for Scamcoin Victims? Nope Not at all. on: August 08, 2014, 11:13:02 PM
With all the ScamCoins going around and people being burned, I don't feel bad at all. That's what happens when you follow the hype. Some people make good money (coin creators) while most get left holding the bag.

If Crypto users look at coins that are designed for a purpose, have vendors in place and transparent plan. You should be able to tell which coin is a scam coin. While you get caught up in the hype you over look coins with a real use, and active dev making an effort.

If you like scam coins, don't touch Viking Coin. Its a real coin with a Use and Vendor in place and is still minable for a profit.

Why are you still Mining Hype coins, the will fizzle out in a week or 2, Viking goin on 2 months strong. Don't wait. One whale can change the direction of Viking Coin fast. Don't miss the bus
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / If you could trade faster, Would you want too? on: July 31, 2014, 02:35:44 AM
If I told you that a coin was released to improve trading for everyone, Would you want to use it?

It will give you the option to bypass Bitcoin long conformation times. Allowing users to transfer funds between exchanges and confirm faster than Bitcoin, so you have access to you funds within minutes.

Have you ever missed a good price on an altcoin before the price sky rocketed?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a Coin that can be sent rapidly between exchanges so you can quickly Buy newly listed coins?

Are you tired of New Coins released with promises instead of a legit purpose?

Fly by night coins, wasting your mining time and costing you money?

I created Viking Coin to resolve all your trading woes. Since its my Contribution to Crypto as a whole, Viking was not premined. This coin was designed to give traders a rapid exchange coin, making it easier to transfer funds to exchanges faster so you can catch the New Altcoins at the best prices.

How is Viking different?

Low coin count and low rewards are in place for price stability. 5,000 Viking Coins will be minted, allowing users to "Color Up" for larger bills and send any amount of BTC from one exchange to the next.  Rewards are currently 0.01 Vik, this is to maintain 90 second blocks over a long period of time, halving begins at 100,000 Block mark.

Merge mining is being implemented and moving to the testing phase. This will allow the diff to go up to maintain security while producing the blocks on a regular schedule. We already have confirmation from an established merge mining pool about being added as soon as Merge Mining is complete. Viking Coin is sha256, merge mining with BTC, NMC, Dev coin and others can be mined at the same time.

Viking Coin Market on every exchange would allow Viking Coin to flourish. Users will have better chance of catching the best prices at any given time.

Viking was built for one purpose, to give crypto traders a better alternative to Bitcoin Confirmation times. Don't get me wrong, Viking support and loves Bitcoin. When it comes to day trading somethings can be improved on, in trading minutes matter.

Can I mine Viking Coin now?

Shhh don't tell, but Mining Viking now is a great idea. The KGW is in place until merge mining is complete. Diff is currently low which makes for easy mining. ~50k Blocks till halving.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / In need of Abe Explorer. on: July 28, 2014, 12:02:25 AM
Viking Coin is need of an Abe style block explorer. I have a Vps which can be used for setup, that way nothing will come out of you pocket.

I can offer s small BTC bounty or Viking Coin for bounty.

Viking Coin is now 2 months old, designed to be a rapid exchange coin to give traders an alternative to long Bitcoin confirmations. VikingCoin is sha256 and is in the process of converting over to merged mining, thanks to Ahmed_bodi.  We have already received confirmation that VikingCoin will be added to a established merge mining pool once the conversion is complete.

Merge mining will provide Viking Coin with network security and steady blocks, this will be ideal conditions for Viking Coin to be used for rapid exchange transfers allowing users to get the best trading price at any given time.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Looking for a Guide of Info to Merged Mining on: July 14, 2014, 09:30:27 AM
I would like to find information or a person capable of implementing merge mining capability to Viking Coin.

Viking Coin -sha256 5,000 Coins

Wallet and Source can be found at www.thevikingcoin.com if you would like to view the source.

I understand KGW will have to go and that's not a problem.

A Viking Coin bounty can be negotiated. Coin is ~2 Months old plenty of time for growth.
