1  Economy / Service Discussion / [GAWMINERS]We won't be accepting PayPal moving forward. on: May 15, 2014, 01:50:53 AM
http://us8.campaign-archive2.com/?u=cdea713669f1600ffb2230df5&id=fe2b90e3ff&e=4852cdafaf

Important Announcement!

We regretfully inform all GAW Miners' customers that we are no longer accepting payments through PayPal.

As you may be aware, our astounding growth over the last few months has lead to an explosive growth in the number and variety of customer PayPal transactions.  These payment, pre-order and refund transactions, which range in size from a few to tens of thousands of dollars, and originating from over 100 countries has created certain issues with PayPal regarding customer identity, fraud and regulatory authority compliance.  We are actively engaged with PayPal to expeditiously resolve these matters.  Please bear with us while we work towards an early restoration of PayPal facilities to our customers.

In the interim, we are pleased to accept credit cards, wire transfers and Bitcoin payments.

For all customers who have made a purchase with PayPal within the last 2 weeks, you will be completely refunded and provided the opportunity to re-order the same batch (same ship date) at a lower price.

Thank you for your loyalty and support!

The grid seeds.

Escrow required. Since 3xgridseed costs $237, the person with the gridseeds pays for escrow and USPS shipping+insurance of gridseeds, I'll pay shipping USPS with insurance for the 280x.

I've got an open loan thread, if I get the loan acceptance before anyone makes offers here, this thread is voided and same with the loan thread. I will note this in the loan thread as well.

9  Economy / Service Discussion / Gawminers support is fantastic. on: May 08, 2014, 02:04:02 PM
I just got off the phone with Luke, there was a mix up with a coupon code and my order, the coupon code didn't go through but Luke spoke with someone and credited 20 bucks to my gawminer website account, there was no wait limit or anything.

Great support system you guys have.

Also is there a support board/thread here at bitcointalk.org?

If not maybe create one?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / A beginners guide to sgminer for the 300+ KH/s Single Gridseed ASIC Miner? on: May 07, 2014, 11:50:28 PM
Please, guys, please tell me there are simple guide tutorial for the 300+ KH/s Single Gridseed ASIC Miner?

I really need help with getting setup with sgminer & 300+ KH/s Single Gridseed ASIC Miner.

So far, I have

A1). sgminer-4.1.271 extracted to a folder.
A2). I've pulled ckolivas.cl out of kernel folder into main folder of sgminer.
A3). I created a config file called sgminer.conf with so far in it
Code:
{
"pools" : [
 {
 "url" : "stratum+tcp://mine.coinshift.com:3333",
 "user" : "12NcNYb2oEh6ANo95AakEjPqQdgbcxh4m9",
 "pass" : "x"
 }
],

"kernel" : "ckolivas",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin"
}

With that, that is as much as I know.

I read the readme.md, and I just cannot understand the language it speaks.

A4).  Do I need a driver for this asic? If so where do I go?

Am I missing anything out of the conf file?

Basically am I missing anything at all?

If you really need it, i have 2 bucks in btc for bounty to get me going, it's all I have.

Are there any recommendations as to setting up cgminer for this asic miner?

I am new to asics, and I am doing some prep work prior it arriving so when it comes, I can boom, set it up to go.

Most time, I am not good learning by myself, alot of times I need advice n help, if someone may help Smiley.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / It costs a lot to transfer BTC>USD USD>BTC on: May 06, 2014, 01:47:36 AM
I finally got around to calculating getting a loan & paying it back.

----------------------------------------------------------
Getting BTC loan converted to USD:
Lender: 10% for the loan.
Exchange: 1.5% wire transfer outgoing
Bank: wire transfer Incoming: $15
----------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------
Paying back the loan, USD > BTC:
Bank wire transfer:
Quote
$25 each domestic wire transfer; $45 each foreign wire transfer plus
exchange rate, taxes and corresponding fee(s). Beginning July 15,
2013, $30 each domestic wire transfer; $50 each foreign wire transfer
sent in foreign currency; $85 each foreign wire transfer sent in U.S.
dollars. Exchange rates, and other bank fees and taxes may apply.

Exchange incoming wire transfer: Fee: 1%
----------------------------------------------------------

Outragous. I'm not sure but credit card company's are more lenient? Like what 5% fee?
