1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Transfering Bitcoin between addresses in Electrum (Any Fees?) on: June 14, 2017, 12:39:22 PM
Hi, new to Electrum here, just got to know about the Change Addresses and what not, so bear with me. Smiley

Is all the receiving address (20) that are generated separate and ready for use? Meaning that I own all these 20 addresses?

Are there any fees if I transfer from one address to the other? I think there is, but I am not sure.

Thanks jack for the answer, just needed to clarify! Smiley
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Market Opportunities? on: June 01, 2017, 02:12:31 PM
Bitcoin prices are on the rise, what do you think are some opportunities that Bitcoin can bring to the community?

From what I see, BTC remains as a cryptocurrency for investments, business/online services, and we are not seeing a lot of these BTC in our communities (yet).

What are some ways to promote and make use of BTC in our daily lives? An Example I can think of is to make Bitcoin payment through mobile easier, like AndroidPay.

Take note of these downsides of Bitcoins:
  • High Fees
  • Delays
  • No incentives for people to use BTC

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [POLL] Do you prefer your money to be in cash or bitcoins? on: December 13, 2015, 08:46:33 AM
The price of bitcoin is regularly fluctuating, so you might get $100 worth of bitcoins now, $50 or $200 worth of bitcoins tomorrow, who knows? So, do you prefer a currency that is more stable, like cash (USD, EUR...), or do you treat bitcoins as a currency, for investment to let it grow?

State why you prefer your option. Smiley
8  Economy / Auctions / 🌟 Advertisement Spots @ TipBits → From 0.00 BTC!! 🌟 on: December 11, 2015, 03:13:27 AM
Hey! Since I have a few free spots on my site TipBits, I shall start these spots off from 0.00 BTC, completely free!

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Any ways to buy bitcoin using mobile credit? on: December 03, 2015, 01:15:20 AM
Are there any sites that exchanges bitcoin for your phone balance? Sometimes I have extra balance that would go to waste so I might as well use it to buy some bits with that.

Although there might be such a service, it might differ for different locations. I would want a service like that, where you can charge it to your phone bills instead or use the balance, any thoughts?
10  Economy / Micro Earnings / Free Tips for Newbies and All! (With TipBits) on: September 27, 2015, 06:01:57 AM

Hi! Cheesy In case if you just came in into the world of Bitcoins, and want to earn some, we are giving out free tips for everyone! Smiley It might not be little, but instead of taking it as a form of money, use the tip and tip other people, give it forward!

This uses ChangeTip, a website that allows tips between users on multiple interfaces, for us to send you the tip manually! If you do not have a ChangeTip account, and do not intend to create one, you can use Bitcoin Addresses as well, but the tip would not be instant.

Visit TipBits Tip Page and fill in a simple form, your tip.me/bitcoin address (most important) and just send it! We will send you tips as soon as possible!

On top of that, we are also giving out one-time tip links randomly, which can be found at our homepage, TipBits! Be the first to claim it! Cheesy

:::Free Tips:::

Feel free to ask us if you have any questions!

Enjoy!

11  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitcoin (Investment) Games --- TrustWorthy? on: September 10, 2015, 09:11:07 AM
Came back after a long time, and found out that CryptoSpot was down. Tried it last time, and when I came back, everything was gone. Do you think this kinds of site/games are trustworthy for investments? Recently there's a new one called MinerFarm, not sure about it, but the owner seems trustworthy and all.

Basically, greed. Too much greed, thats why there are all these scams out there. Would you invest in these kinds of games? Last time, there was this site goldencows (bad memories for all). I was still new then, and I thought it would be a legit method to earn, and for life. Now, when I look back at it, its just a ponzi, and ran away with my $10 + worth of bitcoins. Wasn't much, but that was my hard earned out of nothing bitcoins, definitely a lesson learnt.

Now, I stay away from these types of investments, including these games. I play them for fun, not for profit, and now I just use it at BTCJam instead, although its not 100% safe either. Investments are really risky, and there are no risk free investments with profits out there.

So, do you invest your bitcoins in bitcoin investment 'games' , and do you think they are risky?
12  Other / Meta / Spams and Scams on: July 19, 2015, 11:32:49 AM
Not sure if this is the right board to post in. Just some questions I had in mind.

Spam can mean a few different things here, but I am referring it more specifically to the spam creation of accounts. I see many newbie accounts, posting only a few words, especially in the Off Topic Board and Investors Based Games. For all you know, a person could have created 100 over accounts (maybe I exaggerating a bit), and use them to either sell it in the future, or to use it as 'proof'.

Many posts in the Investors Based Games section always have newbies that posts there. Not saying every newbie there is an alt, but they might be created just to bump the post, or fake evidence, to lure others to invest as well, by using their 'personal experience' which can be forged. I think there should be a restriction to the creation of forum accounts, but it can be difficult.

I not sure about the current settings, but does it require an email to sign up? If not, then it should. If yes, then... its email spamming abuse out there. This might not be possible, and against the privacy of the forum users, but maybe the forum mods should use their ip address to spot out a few alts, and prevent them. In my opinion, users should not be able to create multiple accounts, but just to stick to their own account forever. I'll move on to scams now.

Scams are inevitable, I know, but obvious scams should be removed, I think. There is no reason that I should be allowed to live on and scam more victims, right? Despite the warnings and the trust systems, I still think that there might be people who are willing to give it a shot. The person who gave it a chance is not the main point. The main point is that if the scam owner receives more of this, it will tempt him to create more of this ponzis.

Prevention is better than cure, these should be stopped. Both scam and spam. Just another question again, what happens to the scammers? Do they get hunted down and brought to justice? Or they just slip back into the wild with red all over? They should be banned, to prevent such forum abuse.

Not writing my full opinion here, cos no one would read this large chunks or words. Want to see what you users here think too. Tongue
13  Other / Meta / Negative Trusts (Suggestions) on: July 17, 2015, 07:38:51 AM
Hi all, I've been looking at some of the members' profiles and saw quite a few have negative trusts. Some of the reasons of the negative trusts are commonly because of loan without collateral, or because the member is a newbie with only a few posts, and advertising some shady websites or asking for bitcoins.

I think this negative trust rating system is a little too harsh, and a little abused at the same time too. Chances should be given, and not negative trusts when such things happens. Negative trusts should only be used when the member repeatedly annoys, or does the same things again despite being told not to do so. They should be given a warning first, and not get spammed by many other users giving the member negative trust rating for the same reason.

The negative trust rating system should also have a few options for the person giving the neg. trust, like some simple reasons why they do so. Some of the reasons there are now out there might be invalid, for all you know, and the member might have changed, so the neg. trust should not be valid anymore. Perhaps there could be a certain span for the neg. trust, depending on the situation. Otherwise, it would be unfair to those who got neg. trusts for not reading the threads carefully, and have a neg. trust rating with them for life.

There should be an option to 'second' the neg. trust, to prevent users from giving neg. trust to the same user for the same reason. This will prevent spam and make it clearer to everyone as well. The members who give neg. trusts also should not spam too, to make the forum better. I know this have a lot of flaws in it, but this is merely a suggestion. I sincerely hope this would be made possible, to give chances to all as well.

- Tips Donator

If you are generous, and want to spread the joy, you can partner with us too, and you can either donate to us through ChangeTip to be given out as Tips, or send us one-time Tip Links, containing a desired amount you like, and we will put it up on our site for others to collect! Smiley

17  Economy / Investor-based games / [POLL] What Sites do you Invest in? on: June 06, 2015, 07:17:37 AM
This topic is for those that have invested, and to see which sites have been invested on, or those that want to invest.

After these sites have been listed, a poll would be created according to their sections and types to give users more information about investing, giving them more options and insight.

Comments that are unrelated to this topic would be deleted with a PM to notify and the reason would be given as well. Do not post links to sites that you have not invested in, and not paying ponzis. Unrelated comments include: 'This site is a scam...' , 'Do Not invest at all...' , 'I dont like to invest...' and so on.

Only comment the site you invest in (Sites with hidden ref links are not allowed), and the amount you invested, the profits, and the reliability.

Although investments can be risky, there can be safe and trusted investments that can profit both parties.

Sample Format:

Site: XXXBitcoin
Amount: 1 BTC (amount that you invested)
Profit: 0.5 BTC (amount you gained - amount that you invested) [Principal Back]
Reliability: 5 months, paid me 10 times (site age, successful withdrawals)
