1  Economy / Lending / Need 0.2BTC loan on: October 14, 2013, 07:52:43 PM
Hi,

I currently have 0.209BTC. I need approximately an additional 0.2BTC to complete a transaction. I have no way of making an instant transfer, I tried using VirVox, which has worked before, but for some reason it denies my card all of a sudden. I really want to place this order today, since I want to be sure it arrives before the weekend.

Could someone please, please, please lend me 0.2BTC? I will pay back 0.3BTC within a few days, as soon as my bank transfer finishes.

I'm afraid I have no collateral, but I could provide identification and proof of adress if desired.

Thanks.
2  Economy / Lending / Need 0.5 BTC quickly! on: July 30, 2013, 07:32:05 PM
Hi.

I need 0.5 BTC to complete a transaction.

I've previously borrowed 3 BTC from CoinLenders, you can find the thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=231738.msg2439912
My repayment was never confirmed in the thread, but if you want to confirm it, feel free to contact TradeFortress. I have some more info about trades and loans I've done previously in that thread.

I will pay back 0.6 BTC before the week is over.

Please contact me if interested. Thanks.
3  Economy / Services / Offering software testing services on: June 16, 2013, 01:31:02 PM
Hey.

I work as a software tester at BlackBerry, with two years of experience. I possess an ISTQB certification and I have also studied software testing in school for two years.

I guess you could say my specialty is in testing mobile apps, since all of my actual work experience is at BlackBerry, but I am educated in all forms of software testing and can take on pretty much any testing job, whether you require functional testing, localization testing, regression testing, etc. I can test websites, mobile apps, desktop apps, you name it.

After completing a job, I will provide a detailed test report describing my findings.

My current hourly rate is:

We can also agree on a fixed price beforehand based on how long I think the job will take.

Please drop me a PM if you are interested or have any questions.
4  Economy / Goods / Selling two partially broken PS3 controllers on: June 15, 2013, 09:00:55 PM
So I've got two PS3 Dual Shock 3 controllers that are partially broken.

On one of them, the circle and triangle buttons are not working. I'm not sure how this happened or if it can be fixed easily.

On the other, the right analog stick has popped off the internal stick. It is still functional, but you have to push the stick inwards to move the internal stick. This can probably easily be fixed by opening the controller and popping the stick back on, but I'm just too damn lazy.

The first one is pretty much completely unusable because of the circle and triangle buttons, but I'm thinking maybe someone can fix it or wants the parts inside for some reason.
The second one is completely usable, but can get kind of annoying to use in games that depend heavily on the right analog stick, but as mentioned, I suspect it is easily fixable.

I'd prefer scandinavian buyers, as I am located in Sweden, but if you are willing to pay for international shipping, I'd be happy to take any buyer.

Please post here or PM me with an offer if interested. Thanks.

6  Economy / Lending / Need to borrow 3 BTC on: June 11, 2013, 09:01:40 AM
Hi.

I've encountered some temporary financial trouble and would like a one month loan of either 3 BTC or $300 (Paypal, Mt. Gox, whatever) so I can manage the rest of the month.

I have a job and earn around $3 500 per month. I have no other debts except for my student loan (around $90 per month)

I can provide the following for your security:

* A link to my Facebook profile.
* Proof of address.
* Proof of employment.
* Proof of identity.

I don't have too much reputation here on the forums, but I do have some successful transactions:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=213630.0  (Very minor, $1)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=32192.0 (10 BTC loan from MoonShadow and 5 BTC loan from IBB)

Hope someone will consider this, as I really need the money and I am definitely capable (and willing) to pay it back within a month!

If you want any more info, just ask here or drop me a PM.

Thanks.
7  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Prison Architect on Steam for BTC on: May 25, 2013, 07:59:32 PM
I want to buy Prison Architect on Steam for BTC. I'm willing to pay a small markup for this. I will pay BTC0.3. Since the game costs 25.99€, which is around BTC0.257, I'd say this is a pretty good deal.

The game should be sent through Steam as a gift.
8  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Plain Sight (Steam) on: May 22, 2013, 07:25:20 PM
Hi.

I'm looking to sell a Steam copy of the game Plain Sight. You can find it in the Steam Store here:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/49900/

The game is cheap, only €4.99, so I'm asking BTC0.02 for it.

The game will be sent as a gift through Steam and will be available for download instantly.

11  Bitcoin / Mining support / More RAM = faster mining on: August 26, 2011, 12:44:39 PM
Okay, so I'm running a 5850 HD. This isn't a dedicated mining rig, it's a gaming computer that I just happen to use for mining as well. I used to have 2 x 2 GB RAM sticks, but today I upgraded to 4 x 2 GB. Surprisingly, my hash rate went from 272 Mhash/s to 292 Mhash/s. I don't see how RAM would affect my mining, but apparently it does.

So I did some research. My RAM seems to be running in unganged mode, meaning each core of the processor gets assigned one RAM stick each. In ganged mode, all RAM is shared with all cores. It makes some sense that this would improve my processor's performance, since I have a six-core processor, and it would imply faster access to stored data. However, I'm not using my processor for mining, I'm using my GPU... so I don't see how increased CPU-performance would improve my mining.

So does anyone have any idea why my hashing speed went up by 20 Mhash/s after a RAM upgrade? I can provide more information if necessary.
12  Economy / Gambling / Clarifying ROI on: August 25, 2011, 10:08:06 AM
Alright, it's time for me to be a nitpick here. All the gambling sites seem to have the concept of ROI all wrong. ROI is a method of measuring profits in relation to capital invested. The appropriate way of calculating ROI is: Net profit / Investment.

This means if you're for example playing a Double ponzi game, and invest 1 BTC, you will get 2 BTC back. Meaning:

2 / 1 = 2, meaning 200% ROI.

100% ROI would mean just getting you initial 1 BTC back, and 50% ROI would mean you lost half of your investment. If ROI was measured the way people here use it, it would not be able to measure a loss.

So... yeah. Just me being a bit of a nitpick.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / To Europeans who need to withdraw funds on: August 08, 2011, 12:07:27 PM
I got tired of waiting for Mt. Gox and Tradehill to re-enable SEPA withdrawals, so I started looking for other methods of withdrawing USD/EUR to my bank account for as low of a price as possible. I saw some members recommending Intersango, but the trade volume is way too low and you don't exactly get competitive prices.

So, here's what I did:

1. Sell your BTC on Mt Gox.
2a. If you want the money as soon as possible: Withdraw as a Mt.Gox redeemable code.
2b. If you want the money as cheaply as possible: Withdraw directly to LibertyReserve. 1% fee.
3. If you chose 2a, redeem your code at AurumExchange. 2% fee, plus 1% LR fee.
4. Go to ECardOne and sell your LR$. Money will be sent to you in 2-5 business days with a SEPA transfer. 1.8% fee.

This method is a bit more expensive than just doing a SEPA transfer directly from Mt. Gox or Tradehill, especially if you choose to go through AurumExchange, but if you need to withdraw your money right now, this is probably the best alternative.

Hope this helps some people.

15  Economy / Lending / Need a small loan on: July 27, 2011, 01:09:08 AM
Hi.

I realize I'm new here, and there probably won't be anyone to take me up on this offer. But I'd like a small loan, say 10 BTC, for about a month.

I don't need the money for any one specific purchase. It is not for mining equipment. I'm simply in a bad spot and need some money quickly to pay my monthly bills and the like. I don't have any form of income during the summer, and due to poor planning I've ran out of funds. However, I will start getting a monthly income again sometime between the 22nd and 26th of August, and this is when I will be able to repay you.

I don't have any #bitcoin-otc feedback. I do, however, have some feedback on Tradera, which is basically the Swedish equivalent of EBay. I can show you this upon request.

Please send me a PM with your offer (interest and how long I get to pay back) or any questions you may have.

Thanks in advance.
