61  Economy / Services / [Attract Attention] Signature Making [Pay or Get Paid] on: August 25, 2014, 11:31:01 AM
Attract attention with a well-made signature!

Selling custom-made signatures for 5 mBTC (0.0005 BTC). You can use this for a signature campaign, your own personal use, whatever! All signatures are meant for Full Members and above, because they contain colors. Should you want a Member signature, I have no problem. However, you will not get a very nice looking signature as there will be no awesome colors to admire.

Check out some examples.

Freebitco.in Up to $200/hour. 50% referral commissions.

Not satisfied? Here's the deal:

Payment Process (Order Process)

1) You order. Provide name and link as well as any other information. Favorite color? Cool, shoot it over. Want a particular font? That's nice too, just let me know.

2) I design. I'll finish it within a few days, I promise. Deadline: 4 days... or a free signature for you, provided it's not your fault it took 4+ days. If you send me some colors to work with on Sunday, a different set on Monday, and a completely different name or link on Tuesday, I will ignore you. Now and forever. You have been warned.

3) I show you. I'll post it in the section below this one for everyone to critique (unless you request me not to). Like it? Pay and you get the code. Please - on your integrity don't just take all the ideas and run.

4) You pay [or not].

5) We are happy [together].

6) Optional You leave some positive trust so other people don't think I'm a big bad wolf waiting to blow their house down. Either use the trust system or you could post on my reputation thread, to which you can find the link in my signature. Here it is for your convenience: Reputation thread.

7) Optional You decide you don't like the signature after a maximum of 1 hour and want a refund. PM me within that 1 hour and after attaining your promise not to use, sell, or distribute that signature, I'll refund you. I warn you, I will leave negative feedback if you ever violate our agreement that you do not use, sell, or distribute that signature. Newbies and Jr. Members may not attain refunds.

"If you test me, you will fail." - Acting Captain Hikaru Sulu of the Enterprise, Star Trek: Into Darkness

Current Order Signatures

None! Sad

More

If you want to be a signature designer, just PM me. If I have too much work, I'll send you the work needed, pay rate (ohh, hmm, minus 1% commission), and due date. You decide and if you're interested, you PM back the signature. If the signature is up to standard (I'm not forwarding an under-quality signature under my name) I'll just pass it along and give you 99% of the payment.

Sound good? Begin now.

63  Economy / Lending / [1 BTC] Cryptsy Bot - 1 Week Repayment with 30% Interest [NOT URGENT] on: August 16, 2014, 12:03:59 AM
Intro

Hello - Looking for a 1 BTC loan, repaying 130% after 1 week

For the longest time I can remember I've been wanting to get a release of C.A.T. for automatic trading. The BTC market, as you can see, is quite volatile. My plan is to create several tens of Ping-Pong sales using Sampey's C.A.T.. The bot itself has proven itself to be not a scam and there are enough satisfied buyers to convince me (and hopefully you) that the bot works well.

View C.A.T. here.

So yes, a Jr. Member asking for a 1 BTC loan is a bit suspicious. Even more suspicious is the fact that I don't really have collateral. You see, I'm in Singapore and I can't part with any valuable items such as electronics (need them all!). So essentially I'm asking for a 1 BTC loan with no collateral with a R.O.I of 6 days. Yes, you heard me. 1 BTC with no collateral. Don't gape.

How can I prove to you I'm legit? Tongue  Huh  Cheesy

Loan Breakdown

0.60 + 0.20 BTC - Purchase of Sampey's C.A.T. bot. (Cryptsy)
0.25 BTC - Investment with Cryptsy.

1 Day - purchase, contact, setup
6 Days - Ping-Pong trades

What I Think

I think that I should be able to quadruple that 0.25 BTC within 6 days. Sampey posted a block of code and he managed to get a 60% return in one day with his Ping-Pong trades. Let me do some calculations and then let you know exactly how much I'd get with an average compound interest rate of 40% a day.

Day: Bitcoin

(1: 0.25)
(2: 0.35)
(3: 0.48999999999999994)
(4: 0.6859999999999998)
(5: 0.9603999999999997)
(6: 1.3445599999999995)
(7: 1.8823839999999992)
(8: 2.635337599999999)
(9: 3.689472639999998)
(10: 5.165261695999997)
(11: 7.231366374399996)
(12: 10.123912924159994)
(13: 14.17347809382399)
(14: 19.842869331353583)

I used Python to get these numbers. Basically the code did: if day number is less than 14, add 1 to it and multiply the bitcoin value by 1.4 (140%), then print everything in a good format.

Collateral - Or the lack of it

Unfortunately I don't have any collateral. I have nothing anywhere near the amount of 1 BTC except in hardware, and I'm not willing to part with my MacBook Air or iPad (or Samung S5).

If you can think up some online collateral, I'd be happy to use that.
64  Bitcoin / Project Development / [CROWDFUND] Bitcoin Awareness: Singapore - LET 14k PEOPLE KNOW BITCOIN EXISTS on: August 15, 2014, 02:56:02 PM
Raising 20 BTC (0.6/20 funded) to raise Bitcoin awareness

Bitcoin is known by geeks, businesses, and maybe a few million people. However, if you ask a member of the vast majority of people on earth about Bitcoin, he'll say, "Huh?" I intend to at least make a dent and educate 14,000 people in Singapore.

Singapore is an island city. We're a city-state about the size of downtown Manhattan. However, with a projection of 6.9 million people living here, it's a good place to advertise. Singapore is one of the most expensive places to live on earth, even though we only just celebrated our 49th "birthday" on the 9th of August. The majority of the population lives in high rise buildings known as HDBs. These are relatively affordable apartments, sometimes up to 20 a floor, for up to 30 storeys. Do the math. That's 600 apartments per block, maybe 1800 people per block. Each block usually only has 2 lifts.

We plan to do three things to raise Bitcoin's awareness in the northern part of Singapore, Woodlands.

1. Print out full color pamphlets, manually fold them, then leave them at people's gates as well as at common lift lobbies. This is how housing agencies and car dealers go about advertising their services. This time, the full color pamphlets will stand out from the dull sheets of paper (we hope) and people will notice them and read them. The pamphlets will contain basic-medium information about Bitcoin and links to bitcointalk.org and weusecoins.com. We estimate each pamphlet to cost about $1.60 USD / $2.00 SGD. Crowdfunding will help to raise the amount we need, hopefully. We'll have around 4800 apartments to visit and drop these pamphlets. With each costing $2, 4800 copies would cost $9600.

2. Knock on doors and provide in-person introductions to Bitcoin. We'll probably use pamphlets from above, so no extra cost monetarily. The one thing: this is time-consuming.

3. Host a few Bitcoin giveaways. Singaporeans are sometimes quite money-minded and anything with the word FREE draws attention. We'll be giving out 0.1 BTC at each giveaway and the giveaway announcements will be stuck at each block's notice board.

Profit

I recognize that not everyone can spare Bitcoins to DONATE, so I thought I would make this sort of am investment as well. We are auctioning 2 banner ad spots and 1 page ad slot. The banner ad is about as high as your thumb and as long as your forefinger. The page ad - up to 450 words and a title or 100 words and a banner the size of a banner ad to go at the top of the page. A page is a horizontal A4-sized paper split into quarters. Both the banner and page ad may have colors and links.

I estimate that the ads will be seen over 13 thousand times and the minimum conversion rate (ones that go and "find out more") should be at least 75%, so around 9750 people. To me, that's a decent deal for money, especially since you know each person who does look at it and find out more is unique. My advice: target your ads to Singaporeans. Don't go rambling about some awesome Bitcoin ATM in Boston or Washington DC, simply because that's a 13-hour flight away.

No adult content may be included in the advertisements or in any links directly stated in wording or pictures.

Bidding (How-to and Starting Bids):

Page Ad: 1.4 BTC
Banner Ad 1: 0.6 BTC
Banner Ad 2: 0.6 BTC

Please also realize that the group I have gathered are all students. We as a group have no dependable sources of income, and cannot supply or fork out enough hard cash to pay for all the printing costs, distribution and compensation issues, or for the giveaways. While we are hardcore Bitcoin enthusiasts, we aren't rich. Donations and ads fund this campaign almost completely and without your help we will never be able to carry this endeavor out.

If you are a Singapore-unique company that can help these potential customers achieve something Bitcoin-wise, please send us a PM (send me a PM) letting us know what you do. Perhaps we can incorporate your service into our Bitcoin introduction... for free, of course.

65  Other / Off-topic / [GAME] Continue The Story on: August 15, 2014, 06:39:57 AM
It's simple. You have to carry on the story with what's happened so far. At the end, I intend to publish the story that's been made and donate the profits to BitcoinTalk (you can hold me accountable).

How it goes:

User 1: Once upon a time, there was a cat.

User 2: This cat lived in a box in Times Square.

User 3: One day, the cat needed to eat some mice, so...

User 4: he went to a club.

^^ sample ^^

I'll start:

Far, far away, there lived a man named Satoshi Nakamoto.

Bitguess - Play to Win BTC

Yea. Cheesy name. Sorry, didn't want to dwell too long on the name. Anyway, how this game works is that it's based entirely in the forums. There's no external website and I'll try to be as transparent as possible.

Here's how it goes... Ten players each contribute 1 mBTC to the Pot - namely, me - and then each race to solve ten puzzles. The first person to post all ten correct answers in this thread will win 9 mBTC. The last mBTC goes to me for me to watch it sit in my wallet forever. The last mBTC will be used to pay the miner's fee, so don't worry - you'll get 9 mBTC and no less. If you get any less due to my mistake, I'll top it up for you.

Don't trust the Pot? I suppose if it's the community's wish I don't mind using escrow, but then I'm afraid the reward will probably be cut by 0.5 mBTC to 8.5 mBTC. I have to say though, as myself knowing myself the best, I don't scam. Trust me.

Game Types

Free - Free to join, you can donate to the Pot and for every 5 mBTC added to the Pot, I'll match it for 1 mBTC
Regular - 1 mBTC to join. Win 9 mBTC.
Highroller - 0.2 BTC to join, win 0.95 BTC. (With escrow.ms's escrow.)

What to Expect

Well, here's a question considered extra-easy. What is the creator of bitcoin's name spelt as one word and backwards? otomakanihsotas.

And one considered medium. What are the squares of 1-250, separated by commas? 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100, 121, 144... 62500.

And one considered easy. What is wrong with this statement? It's a question.

I won't spoil it anymore for you. See below on how to join.

How to Join (Regular or Highroller Games)

1) Pay for Regular Game Entry | Pay for Highroller Game Entry

2) Fill out your BitcoinTalk account name during the purchase. There's a field for you to enter it in. MAKE SURE TO DO THIS.

3) You'll receive a confirmation PM from me. Your name will be added into this post in the Participants section.

4a) When the game starts, I'll send PMs to all the participants with the 10 questions/riddles. Think you're done? Post all the ten answers on this thread. As long as the format is understandable, it's fine. First to post ten correct answers wins 90-98% of the Pot.

4b) You'll be notified by PM who won. Either that or you can keep track of this thread. All stats will be kept in this OP. You'll be able to see all the participants and the winner. I'll keep track of all games offline. Each game will have a reference number that's 5 digits. First game: #00001. Second: #00002. And so on.

4c) The winner will receive 9 mBTC or 0.98 BTC to the address he/she paid from, if no other address is mentioned. Want your payout to a different address? Tell me when you first pay.

5) Winners hooray! Losers, well, I'm sorry. Hard luck! Maybe now you've had some experience you'd like to try your hand at Bitguess again? Good luck.

How to Join (Free Game)

1) PM me saying this:

I'd like to join a free game.

2) Your name will be added to the Participants list. When the game starts, you will be notified via PM.

3) Won? That's nice. Your name will be added to the Previous Winners list. Unless someone donated to the Pot, however, you win no money. I hope you enjoyed the game though Smiley

I use comGateway, but they don't take bitcoin so paying is a hassle.

This installer installs a custom version of GUIMiner that is set with preset configuration to start a miner automatically on user login and to minimise itself to the taskbar. This hides itself from the user's view but allows the user to change settings if they have the knowledge or know-how to do so. Please - don't make botnets. 1) This is a terrible way to have a botnet. It is detectable and easily stopped. 2) Botnets are illegal. I will have no part in your botnets. 3) This miner installer must be something that lets the user know they are installer a Bitcoin miner. You are not allowed to have "Pink Pony Adventure Installer" or "Yellow Dolphin Installer" as your window title.

Example of Transaction:

1) somebody1234 sends 1 mBTC to 1KQwwWfuATJZogLTk9nmPNyY4egS1PUvqY then...
2) posts in this thread:

Pool URL: api.bitcoin.cz:8332
Worker name: somebody1234.worker1
Worker password: yellowWhatever
CPU/GPU/both: Both
Custom icon: N/A
Transaction hash: 8jg9p34ygh97p8wv74g89ygqp79h74gh (fake hash)

3) receives a PM with a download link
4) gets users to install!

* This miner installer must be something that lets the user know they are installer a Bitcoin miner. You are not allowed to have "Pink Pony Adventure Installer" or "Yellow Dolphin Installer" as your window title.

** You will be able to find this. Both the sender and receiver of Bitcoins get a transaction hash. If you search for your address on Blockchain.info, you can also find a history of all transactions and their respective hashes.

69  Economy / Lending / Need 0.3 BTC | Repayable 21 Days on: July 31, 2014, 01:13:43 PM
Hi, I'm going to get a trading bot for Cryptsy. My Cryptsy account is verified, but I'll be trading in volatile coins so as to maximize earnings, although the risk will increase. Most likely, I will trade ReddCoin or Dogecoin. Maybe Darkcoin.

I just need 0.3 BTC - 0.15 for the purchase of the bot and 0.15 for investment. PM me for more info.

Collateral? Hmm.

I can offer...

- A Minecraft account
- (Singapore ONLY) MacBook Air 2012
70  Bitcoin / Group buys / [SHARES-BASED] KnCMiner Neptunes 3TH/s (10000 shares per unit) on: July 14, 2014, 08:07:53 AM
Mining hardware, especially for serious mining, is expensive.

A single KnCMiner Neptune unit costs $5,995. That's why buying by shares is so much better. With 10,000 shares per unit, each share costs 59.95¢. This makes shares affordable and buyable in as much quantity as you could want. To compensate for mining costs - namely, electricity, internet, and cooling, as I will host all the units - each share will cost 64¢ and is valid for as long as the unit functions. At current difficulty (14th July 2914) each share will bring a revenue of 0.54¢/day. Thus, break even for the amount of shares is roughly 140 days. However, past those 140 days, everything is pure profit.

In order to make it worth my time, I reserve a minute 100 shares per unit for myself. Of course, I will fund 100 shares' worth. The maximum amount of shares each individual may buy per unit is 2500, as I'd like to reserve more space for poorer investors who cannot fork out as much as others. Payment must be made up-front, and units will be bought when 5,000 shares are purchased. Shipping time is estimated to be 3-4 months, but you will be kept up-to-date via posts on this topic. To save transaction fees, miners' fee, etc, the minimum amount of shares you can purchase is 25 shares.

Share Price: 64¢ or 0.001 BTC, whichever is better to you

For illustration purposes, here's a calculation of what you could make from buying 1,000 shares:

Shares Purchased: 1,000
Cost: 1 BTC or $640
$ per Day: $5.40

Doesn't seem like a lot? Since after break even everything is profit, let's check out how much you'd get in a year:

$5.40 * 365 = $1,971

Better? That's only 1,000 shares. What about 2,500 shares after break even (which remains at around 140 days!):

$1,971 * 2.5 = $4,927.50/year

Better, no? What if we can get five units, and you invest the maximum for all of them?

$4,927.50 * 5 = $24,637/year

That ($24,637) is a whopping $2,053 USD a month.

Payment

If you're interested, please send the amount with no extra for miners' fee to 1KQwwWfuATJZogLTk9nmPNyY4egS1PUvqY then submit your BTC address, BTalk user (if you want to/optional), and the amount sent (in BTC or mBTC please) at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1vEMar5sea0RJhArIc3GTMTUpQ9PINUtnShKYe5VL5w0/viewform.

I will PM you with a confirmation note if you include your BTalk username.
