So we have just broken $500 on Bitfinex ! What a heck guys! This is amazing! Where is the high of this? $1,000 maybe?

Well Bitshares guys are proudly walking around talking about this new thing of theirs. A coin that will have 3 sec blocks and will be able of 1,000 TPS. This will let them essentially compete with Visa!

What do you think about this? Are they up to something or is this compete BS and will never work?

I know this might be the topic about the alt, but I think that this is directly related to the Bitcoin price as well. So if possible, I would like that it is not moved to the alt section by the mods.

Majority of dumping might be caused by the Ethereum guys in the past 20 months. How the hell you spend this amount of money already and you jeopardize your entire project? And in the process, you have also put enormous pressure on the Bitcoin price in the last 20 months.

We are all whitenesses that the XT idea probably won't work. What's next for Gavin if his XT goes down the drain as it seems it's happening?

If you scroll through the forum, especially this main Bitcoin discussion thread, you can see there is much less talk about the all XT fork situation and block size increase.

So where are we exactly on this? Have we moved anywhere closer to the solution?
Or are the people just tired of talking about this problem so they refuse to do it anymore?

Or are we so confident that the consensus will be reached and problem will be solved during the next 2 workshops of which the first is in Montreal so we already consider it a done deal?

I have just read this morning a thread about safely printing paper wallets. It came to my mind how come nobody mentions Trezor as an alternative.

So, how do you see the security of Trezor compared to the paper wallets?

Hey guys, I have a friend here in France where I live that I am trying to introduce to the Bitcoin world. He wants to buy bitcoins but since he would like to do this on a monthly basis, just me selling him coins every month would be to complicated.

He wants to buy monthly, with his Mastercard. What's the best option out there. It needs to be legit of course, and with some verification, not too much so that he doesn't get overwhelmed. Price should be decent as well, nothing like 10-15% over the premium.
