We have seen several instances of people criticizing bitcoin publicly with some saying it was never to be trusted and others saying it was going to zero. The list of these people is long with Nassim Taleb the "black swan" man and Janet Yellen as two of the notable critics. For those that want to know some of them and what they have said about bitcoin, Red Bull website gave a short list of some of them. My concern is that I have not seen some of the vocal fud spreaders coming out public to apologize or at least express their change of mind after they might have seen that bitcoin is never what they thought. So, does it mean these critics never ever changes their mind? Can we say that those who think that bitcoin price will get to zero still believe till now that it will happen even after seeing that bitcoin is soaring at six figures? Please if you know anywhere these critics tender public apology or at least express a change of opinion, kindly point me to such material.

There is this doubt that have suddenly filled my mind regarding my skills in sports betting. Most times the games I am sure of end up not working as predicted whereas the ones I play with doubt and fear work out fine. This makes me begin to wonder if there is actually skill in sports betting or it is entirely a game of luck. I understand that knowing events across different sports and leagues can help in the selection, this is what many people interpret as skill, but sometimes despite this knowledge, consistency is still a problem. .

The popularity of online gambling platform have been on the increase for a while now thereby creating several arguments between them and the physical outlets in terms of which is the best. There was an incidence I saw on twitter this money that made me decide to create this post so anyone who is bent on using physical shops should be cautious. According to the tweet and the victim narration, he bet the game in a physical shop and won N16,700,000 (~$13,500) but the agent of the shop refused to pay him even after the betting company from their head office instructed him to pay. Not that the company did not pay the agent, they paid but the agent refused to pay him saying that someone else have come to withdraw the money. He approached the court only to get N3,000,000( $2,400) out of the total winning and was asked to go and look for the people that withdrew that money. Normally, when there is winning, the only way to withdraw is to tender the ticket to the agents who will take the ticket before paying the winning. So I do not know how someone will withdraw the winning of another and what the person used to make the withdrawal. I think the agent wanted to steal the entire money but due to the pressure from the court, he has to return part of it. I see this as a warning on the dangers of greedy agents in physical gambling platforms. Source: https://twitter.com/General_Oluchi/status/1782027404027797716

I know there have been several post about security and how to be protected in this digital space. Just to emphasize the importance of being careful, I am making this post to share a terrible experience of victim who lost $2m over a simple act of negligence or rather carelessness. I will say he played with $2m that is supposed to be saved a cold wallet that is disconnected from the internet. Source: https://twitter.com/DeFiDownsin/status/1773655274005369305I believe that post of victims such as this will make people take the security of their assets seriously. Please stay safe out there so you do not end up hating cryptocurrency in general. Useful hints: - Try never to connect your wallet to any website, bot or dapp you do not trust
- If you must connect your wallet to anywhere, ensure the balance in that wallet is something you can afford to lose
- watch out for phishing sites by properly scrutinizing the url of any website you visit so you avoid being a victim

Sometimes when I want to gamble, there is always this feeling of reservation I have about certain events, but I am usually unable to stop myself from removing such events and they end up messing up the outcome of my gambling. I usually realize this when the gambling outcome is already know. Like tonight I played sports betting and my selections for the accumulator is as follows:
Coventry vs Rotherham - -- 3+ that is over 2.5 goals Leeds Utd vs Stove City ---- 3+ that is over 2.5 goals Ipswich T vs Bristol C ---- 3+ that is over 2.5 goals Bristol R vs Bolton ---- 3+ that is over 2.5 goals Peterboro vs Northampton ---- 3+ that is over 2.5 goals
The accumulator gave a total of 16 odds. When making the selection, I had my reservation on Leeds, there was this thing that keeps reminding me that Leeds will not work but I ignored such feelings. Lo and behond, it was same Leeds that messed up the bet and it was after the match I realised myself.
Is there anyone who experience something like this sometimes?

I have read several posts encouraging people to hold their bitcoin for the greater good of bitcoin and probably more reward in the future. I have also been able to buy some for myself and also holding. But there is this concern that usually pop up in my head anytime I am meditating and that is what will happen if everyone is holding their bitcoin and no one is willing to sell. This can possibly happen in the future when mining reward becomes too small. I know some people will say that miners will continue to mine and sell to sustain their business but when there is reduced selling, will mining still be a profitable business?
If this question appear dumb, please pardon me, I just need clarifications.

I have followed various sporting activities and I noticed something that hardly make complete sense to me and that is the rationale behind firing a coach when the players do perform poorly. What drew my attention to this is a news flash about Jose Mourinho's case in Roma. According to the article, Mourinho left Roma angry and feeling betrayed by the players. Is it even possible that players will intentionally lose matches because they want their coach out at the expense of their own careers? If this is true, why will the club management reprimand the coach and not the players? I know some people will argue that the coach is the leader of the team and should be responsible for building the unity and love the team need to play in high morale, but in a case the players happen to have hated the coach and have decided to lose matches as punishment for their coach, is it right to fire the coach?

Being addicted to gambling can be a thorn in the flesh. We have heard many bad behavior from gambling addicts that shows that gambling is a serious concern requiring serious efforts at curbing it. Many casinos also include in their disclaimer "gamble responsibly" and this shows the danger of gambling addiction.
However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.

Women by nature are more conservative than men. They are better manager of resources and know how to prioritise things. This is what is needed for successful gambling because with it, the chances of using funds meant for basic needs in gambling will be minimised.
So do you think women will make better gamblers than men?

During the Christmas holidays, I traveled to different places and one of my main target was to introduce Bitcoin and this forum to as many people as I could. I did but it was not really as easy as I expected because at a point, I was confused on where to start and how to proceed. I wanted a way of shortening the entire process for them, knowing that not everyone will be patient to go through the complex and rigorous process of learning about Bitcoin and the forum itself as a newbie. When I was first introduced into this forum, I was overwhelmed by the workload, the rules, many things to learn and indeed the expectations from me as a newbie. I actually ran away, stayed for a very long time before I remembered I had to face the new task for which I signed up.
I picked myself up and proceeded and I consider that one of the best decision of my life. Today I'm more than motivated to help as many people as possible to grasp this whole things as I know the benefits are innumerable. I don't consider it enough to encourage them to read through the forum because I still remember how difficult it was for me as a newbie, so I'm challenged in my spirit that there should be an easier way to go about introducing the entire concept to newbies.
I don't know if any of you faced this challenge, if yes, how were you able to proceed?

Gamblers were seen as irresponsible people in my town few years ago. Parents usually warn their children never to indulge in gambling or associate with people who gamble. However, a lot has changed recently as gambling has become one of the biggest business here. As a result of that, societal perception has also improved as many testimonies of life-changing wins from gambling has emerged.
I don't know if this is only happening in my area or is a general trend, hence the reason I created this post. Let's know what people think about gamblers and how well the gambling business is faring in your area.

The terms and conditions of casinos and other companies is usually very lengthy and somehow boring for some people. Hence , many people rarely find time to read them. They may actually contain some of the complaints that people raise about some casinos such requiring KYC if there is need or suspicion of money laundering activities.
What is your take on this?

I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

I have the believe that success in gambling requires a mixture of luck and skill. This is opposed to some people that believe that gambling is entirely a game of luck and others who believe it is entirely a game of skill.
So I am tempted to inquire if skill is all that is needed to be successful in gambling or luck. Whichever be the option, which of them is the most important factor for gambling success?

There is growing excitement in the Bitcoin community following the gains recorded by Bitcoin. The reason for this growth is hardly unconnected to rumors of Bitcoin ETF approval. Have we thought about what will happen to Bitcoin price should all the ETF get rejected? I don't want to imagine this but whatever happens, hold on to your Bitcoin.
There have been bull run without Bitcoin ETF and there will always be bull run even if the ETF is rejected. So even when the market temporarily nosedives if the ETF is rejected, do not panic. Once again, hold on to your Bitcoin and do not panic.

The rate of poverty across the globe is becoming worrisome. Many people are continually crossing below the poverty line to the state of depression. I was heartbroken seeing the number of people struggling to enter the US as shared by Elon Musk in X. Weather we choose to believe it or not, there is an impending global problem that if concerted effort is not put at addressing, there will be chaos. Is there anyway Bitcoin can assist in addressing this? I know many will think investment in Bitcoin is reserved exclusively for the rich or those who are comfortable; the lower class can actually buy as little as $10 per week. Majority of these immigrants are farmers that the quest for greener pastures pushed into these journeys. They can actually start small and build from there. Same goes for many people across the globe. Bitcoin offers unique opportunities for people who want to make decent amount of money and I have the feeling that if these people start investing in Bitcoin, we will see a rapid decline in global poverty. What do you think?

When people start up a company, they give it some years before they expect profits. Most times they even re-invest their profits to expand and build their company to the standard they desire and this requires time. Furthermore, when people buy stocks of a company or make investment in businesses, they give it time which run into years before they expect profits.
Unfortunately, when people buy Bitcoin, they expect huge profits within a short period of time. This is the source of panic and fud that is exhibited by many Bitcoin investors.
While educating people about Bitcoin, I think it is wise we tell them Bitcoin need time to yield profit, let us change our approach in sharing Bitcoin knowledge so that people will not come into Bitcoin with the mindset of get-rich-quick.

It is very rare to see a Nigerian, with the Nigeria spirit, that is not hardworking. But the question is: are you working hard in the right direction? Do you have the result or progress to justify your input? If the answer to these questions is no, then you need to stop and evaluate what you are doing to know if that is what you should be doing or if you are actually doing it well.
Nothing beats hardwork but when the energy is not directed to something worthwhile or the right approach, it will be like working like elephant and eating like ant. I am not saying that failure and mistakes are signs that you are not hardworking; they could be part of the learning process but it is better to make mistake and sometimes fail in something worthwhile not being busy for nothing.
Some steps to adopt to ensure you are working hard in the right direction include but not limited to: 1. Evisaging the end from the biginning: Before you even get started, inquire about the end result or imagine the end result to see if it is worth the time and energy. By doing this too, you will be able to be properly guided.
2. Always do self appraisal: Aways find time to evaluate your achievements so far as one step as a time is the key to great accomplishment. You can effectively do this by setting short term and long term goals. Always do well to check how much of them you are achieving before you work so hard for nothing.
When you find something worthwhile, give it your best and by then, you will not be working hard in the wrong direction.
This is my personal observation/experience, I will be more than delighted to know yours.

As the gambling industry is evolving, I think innovations would have kicked in that can make someone create a career from gambling. I do not know how this can be achieved but I feel it is possible.
Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.
What do you all think?
