1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / NEW TOOL: Compare the results of doing DCA in Bitcoin vs Stocks on: March 04, 2024, 02:41:27 PM
I have a lot of friends who are into stonks and have no clue how bitcoin works (oH itS sO VoLatile!) so me and a Bitcoiner friend decided to create this tool where you can input the DCA amount, frequency and compare bitcoin vs stocks.

Check it out → bitcoinvsstocks.com

It's free, open source and verifiable (links to Github repos are on the FAQ section).

The most amazing part to me is that even when we started working on it last year, Bitcoin was already much better almost every single stock in the list. Now it's literally DESTROYING them.

And now that the price is up, my nocoiner friends are obviously finally interested in bitcoin  Grin Grin Grin

Feedback is welcome! We're working on a search function to compare against the most common 7,000 stocks.
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin Crossword on: May 22, 2022, 12:40:19 PM
Hi everyone, my third fourth Bitcoin project this year is a crossword puzzle:

bitcoin-crossword.com

If you solve it, the words will decrypt a message which contains a 0.01 BTC or One Million Sats Bounty that you can sweep. Code is open source and the encrypted message is open to the public.

Took me a few months to finalize and I decided to launch it today, Pizza Day, in honor of the legendary Laszlo Hanyecz who bought large pizzas and enjoyed them with no regrets.

Feel free to discuss potential solutions. I will be releasing a few clues if the puzzle remains unsolved.

Enjoy your pizza!
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / BTC2FIAT.me: a lightweight Bitcoin to Fiat converter on: April 21, 2022, 12:03:58 PM
Hi everyone, out of frustration I created a very simple, lightweight BTC to Fiat converter:

https://btc2fiat.me

It's free, open source, free of ads or noise.

What do you all think?

Even though it's a very simple idea I was quite shocked to find how hard it is to find a converter that is free of distracting ads and random information which I don't care much about (such as the price of other assets).

I just went down the Bitcoin rabbit hole so feedback is welcome here or on Github. Cheers!

(Note: euro and other fiat support coming soon)
