1  Economy / Trading Discussion / A trader lost over $1 Million + on Binance Future trading on: April 14, 2024, 11:35:40 AM

“Just woke up and realised I got liquidated overnight. I was 3x long PEPE. I lost everything I had. I don’t even have $1000 in my bank account but had $1M in Binance. I have been in crypto since 2017. Today I lost everything,” he posted.

This is one disadvantage of future trading. You can make a fortune over night trading on future, but you can also lose it all if you don't apply good risk management. It's obvious that this man did not set a stop-loss point; his greed overshadowed him with too much confidence that the bitcoin price can't dump since the halving is just around the corner.

It's hard to experience total liquidation like this on spot trading, but if I thought Binance by default doesn't allow 100% liquidation on future trading, at least it will automatically stop in the range of 85–90% of the trader's total assets they always tries to leave you with something.
2  Other / Meta / Why is this account still very active and not restricted or ban? on: February 16, 2024, 09:03:28 AM
I have read that scams are not being moderated here in this forum, but those who are confirmed scammers are being given a negative tag on their profile. This user already got 7 of those for trying to sell forum accounts to others.
But when someone repeatedly creates the same thread with the same content on a different board and section intervals of minutes and seconds without anything being changed or added to the new one, is that a form of spamming? And are spammers who are littering the forum supposed to go unpunished?
I’m talking about this user . AccountsLegend
He already created like 8 topics on different boards with the same information as of the time of this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2595948;sa=showPosts

Aside from the tags that appears red on his profile are their no other means of stopping him from posting those garbage’s?

Edit: All post have been deleted by moderator.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Any means of combining multiple output into 1 ? on: January 16, 2024, 08:21:03 PM
Okay, I will make this question short.
If I'm to receive like 30 different deposits from 30 different wallets into one wallet, which will make all these transactions appear like separate outputs if I want to send them all at once to one wallet,

So my question is, is there any possible way of sending all the transactions out as one output to a new wallet in order for it to be smaller in size and the transaction fee to be lower?

I know about coin control using electrum, which I can control and send bit by bit, which will also cost me a fee.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tether Confirms Extensive Collaboration With DOJ, FBI and Secret Service on: December 18, 2023, 10:07:02 PM
Is this the right place for this?

Another reason people should stop using tether (USDT), which is among the most stable coins we have in the crypto market right now, and it ranks in the top 3 according to coin . marketcap

I just happened to stumble upon this news.

Tether recently onboarded the United States Secret Service into our platform and is in the process of doing the same with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Just a quick reminder for those making use of Tether for large transactions. Just so you know, there is nothing much different between it and using normal fiat, as your funds can be frozen and you can't do anything. The blacklisting mapping gives them access to freeze the funds of anyone whom they think is not worthy of whatever they are holding in that wallet.

just a few weeks ago: Tether Freezes $225M Linked to Human Trafficking Syndicate Amid DOJ Investigatio

But does the Fed even need a reason to freeze anyone's wallet nowadays? To me, they don't; they just make a reason and pronounce anything they want illegal, and that's it.

For security reasons and for asset safety I will advice if we must use stable coins which should consider those ones which we have total control over them and not just the ones that have frozen feature enabled on them.

Made a quick search and I came across this:  List of decentralized Stablecoins by d5000 , the Op is very much active but the thread was last updated same year if it’s creation {May 30, 2018}
