1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Bitcoin Twisted Movie Quote Thread on: February 25, 2015, 12:47:39 PM
Hi there, over the past few weeks I have been collecting movie quotes and adding a bitcoin twist to them, then posting them in the chat room I frequent to see how long it takes someone to work out the movie.
I know, we get bored alot on bad trading days, what can you do.
Several users said I should post them somewhere more permanent, so blame them for this, not me  Wink

Well here is my collection so far. Why not add your own to the list?

I must not hash. Hashing is the mine-killer. Hashing is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my GHS. I will permit them to pass over the books and through the TX history. And when it has gone past I will turn the spreadsheet to see its path. Where the GHS has gone there will be nothing. Only 1 satoshi will remain.

It is by GHS alone I set my miner in motion. It is by the juice of Electricity that hashes acquire speed, the asics acquire shares, shares become a warming. It is by GHS alone I set my miner in motion.

A Secret Report within the Guild. Four Planets have come to our attention regarding a plot which could jeopardise BTC Production: Planet, Source of the GHS. Planet Bitmain, home of House Asics. Planet Gaw Prime, home of House Garza. Planet Nakamoto, Home of the Emperor of the Known Algorithm. Send a third-gen GHS Miner to Kaitain to demand details from the Emperor. The Bitcoin must flow.

I love the smell of magic smoke in the morning. You know, one time we had a pool mined for 12 hours. When it was all over, I woke up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' satoshi.
The smell, you know that electrical smell, the whole room, smelled like.....Victory.

Final report of the commercial mining ship Nostromo, third officer reporting. The other members of the coins Coinye, BLU, GP, XPY and Captain Doge, are dead. Satoshi and miners destroyed. I should reach the frontier in about six weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripple, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off.

Ripley: Mother! I've turned the cooling unit back on. Mining!
Mother: The S3 will automatically destruct in "T" minus five minutes.
Ripley: You... BiTCh!

Ash: Ripple, for God's sake, this is the first time that we've encountered an ASIC like this. It has to go back. All sorts of tests have to be made.
Ripple: Ash, are you kidding? This thing bled magic smoke. Who knows what it's gonna do when it's dead?

I have… seen things you people wouldn't believe… ASICS on fire off the shoulder of Bitmain. I watched USB miners glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those… hashes… will be lost in time, like transactions… in… the blockchain. Time… to mine…

I don't know why he saved my miner. Maybe in those last moments he loved FPGAs more than he ever had before. Not just his FPGAs - anybody's ASICS; my ASICS. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did satoshi come from? Where am I mining? How much have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him mine.

If this post made you smile, please consider a BTC donation, thank you.
