2  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbies how to use the 2FA security system in the account? on: December 23, 2023, 06:22:25 AM
Many accounts in our forum get hacked or many steal maybe to solve this problem forum admin @theymos and @PowerGlove introduced a feature where you can protect your account through 2FA security system.

theymos post link: 2FA Added:>> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478824.0

So let's start discussing in detail how to use this 2FA security system on your account.
First you login to your bitcointalk account and after login click on account related setting.

After clicking on account related settings, you will see a page like this. There you can see your account username and the Gmail used in your account which you provided while opening the account. You can also see two factor authentication status. This two factor authentication status will be disabled you need to enable or enable it. To enable it, you will see that it says Enable Two Factor Authentication, you will tick the blank box

Then you will see the shared secret (base32) written under authentication, you will see that I have covered it with a red mark, you should copy that. And copy if you have Google authenticator then set it there as you have set your authenticator of Binance exchange and Kucoin exchange and save it.
If you don't have it then go to Google Play Store and download it.
Download link; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2

After setting your google authenticator, copy the code from there and paste the Confirm OTP blank.
After pasting, see Current Password is written below, enter your password, then click on Change Profile in the right corner.
Then the 2FA security system will be added to your account

I have also used this 2FA security system and am showing it to you in my account. When logging in to the account in which you have used the 2FA security system, copy the username password of your account and the code from google authenticator and paste the blank OTP and click on the login option

In this way you can use 2FA authentication system in your account.

Gifted wife with bitcoin money on birthday and wife happily gifted handmade bitcoin logo

Almost every year I celebrate my wife's birthday. This year too I celebrated my wife's birthday but it felt different from previous birthdays for me and my wife too. My wife's birthday was on 20/12/2023. I was very busy these two days for which I could not do the post but I got time today so I did the post.

This year I gifted my wife a hair straightener for her birthday with my invested bitcoins which cost not too much just $20. I have about $200 worth of invested bitcoins from which I spent about $85 on my wife's birthday gift and other stuff. But my wife is very happy to receive this gift from me because I gave her bitcoin money. I told my wife about bitcoin a long time ago she knows and understands well when it comes to bitcoin. He also said to invest in bitcoin with me but because he didn't have enough money he couldn't invest in bitcoin but I continue to invest in bitcoin sometimes buy some amount of bitcoin and try to hold for a long time maybe will continue in future.

My wife was happy to receive my bitcoin money gift and she gifted me bitcoin logo which I think is very beautiful because she made it with her own hands very hard just to gift me. Many may not like it. But after I gave him the gift, he stayed up all night and made me this handmade bitcoin logo as a reminder that I gave him a birthday gift in bitcoins.

I want everyone's prayers for my family and lastly a big thanks to Satoshi who created bitcoin and bitcoin forum. Maybe if he didn't create bitcoin we wouldn't know about bitcoin or even invest in it.

First Lightning Payment Acceptance at Pingu's Burgers in Vietnam.

The popularity of Bitcoin has now reached its highest level across the world.Bitcoin is legal in almost many countries and in those countries where it is legal, Bitcoin is used as payment for various things in their country. As is often the case in El Salvador we see that there they buy various things with bitcoins and pay bitcoins as payment.
I saw on Twitter that after eating ice cream at a shop in El Salvador, people were paying for that ice cream with bitcoins.Similarly, today I saw people paying for burgers with bitcoins in a shop in Vietnam.

A new homemade-style hamburger restaurant located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is in the neighborhood of Thao Dien. This place is famous for their excellent food and friendly atmosphere and good service. A few days ago, the restaurant decided to accept Bitcoin as payment through the Lightning Network, even with customers choosing NeutronPay as their payment provider. If you ever visit Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, don't miss out on Pingu Vietnam for a juicy and delicious burger and keep some Satoshi in your Lightning Wallet.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Investing in Bitcoins with Masonry Earnings. on: December 05, 2023, 02:32:40 PM
I have studied till 10th standard. Then my family didn't have money to send me further education for which I took a job in a garment company and worked there for two years.
I was dismissed from that garment company as I had no work experience. For which now I have chosen a profession that is Masonry.I have been doing this for about a month. But I was involved with Cryptocurrencies while in school because my friend was very expert in this crypto currency and I used to take ideas from him and try to learn from time to time.
I earn around 600 to 700 taka daily in our local currency doing this mason work which is enough for me.
I was told by my family to deposit some of my earned money in the bank but I did not agree.I ignored them and decided to invest some of my earned money in bitcoin instead of keeping it in the bank and hold the bitcoin.
I mentioned this to you because I invested in Bitcoin with Mason's money.

I started investing in bitcoins with a dollar amount that I earned from a day's work as a mason.Maybe my invested bitcoin amount is not much but I want to start with very small amount at first since my income is very low.

I bought $5 worth of bitcoins today. This $5 amount means a lot to me because this is my first bitcoin investment in my life.I want to hold my invested bitcoins for a long time and add more bitcoins to these bitcoins in the future.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Regulatory Ease Accelerate Bitcoin Adoption In Milei’s Argentina on: December 05, 2023, 07:00:58 AM
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Census, inflation in Argentina is 142,7 per year. The country's struggling economy is one of the main drivers behind the Nov. 19 election of libertarian and Austrian-school economist Javier Millei as the new president. Inflation is one of the main reasons why Argentine citizens use alternatives to access dollars such as stablecoins. In this context, Miley is associated with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, due to her appeal to eliminate the central bank in her country. But right now, Miley's opinion on Bitcoin is neutral. "The problem I see with cryptocurrencies is that they don't have legal tender status, and they don't have an asset value. source

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Alleged Hacking Incident Tied to Bitcoin’s Massive 83.65 Bitcoin Fee Error on: November 28, 2023, 08:41:23 AM
The alleged victim, @83_5BTC, revealed that after transferring 139 BTC to a new cold wallet, the funds were immediately swept to another wallet by the attackers. The transaction split the sum, sending 55.77 BTC to the hackers’ wallet, while the rest, a staggering 83.65 BTC, was paid as a transaction fee. This incident surpasses the previous high-fee record of 19.8 BTC.

Mononaut, the anonymous operator behind the mempool.space bitcoin explorer, weighed in on the incident. He suggested that “the most likely explanation is that the wallet was generated from bad entropy.” In layman’s terms, this means the wallet’s security was compromised due to weak randomization in its creation process. Mononaut’s insight provides a crucial understanding of the technical flaw that may have led to this unfortunate event. source
