21  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Our hospitas dy do our sick piple well or not? Wetin be your take? on: February 07, 2023, 04:48:19 AM
Our health sector nah place wey I been think say go really help sick dying piple for this our contri but when e vex me pass nah when them make me lose person wey I no fit forget even if I dy inside hurri. How doctors go see person wey dy die or wey wan die the first thing to ask nah moni, go to the cashier and pay this sum of amount like say them use moni take create the person, I see no reason why moni go come first before human being life.
And if you pay the moni and them see say them no fit revive (abeg sorry I no know how I take speak that English) I mean if them no fit keep that sick person alive nah to ask you to go do another thing wey concern moni make e be say them collect you finish. When my fada die for one hospita for PH here, them know say no way oxygen just dy do off and on like NEPA light wey no get current but them still collect 20k even send my broda to wear gloves, them make the guy become doctor by force.

Another annoying thing be say the oxygen wey them get no even fit hold person life till the next day, I no understand if nah gas them refill half way. E get some hospita wey you go enter but when you dy come back nah maleria you go carry come back. Who I wan blame for so many lives wey don kick pocket all in the name of feeling less concern by doctors and nurses? Becos I no go say nah government oh becos government no go say as doctor make you first collect moni before you treat person wey him mata serious pass to change old notes or to even get fuel, nah life first and doctors get plenty explanation to give us why them choose moni over life.

I no wan talk again, make una tell us una experience, why all these things dy happen for hospita and who we fit hold say nai be the cos, na government or the doctors... Make una chuk mouth...
22  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Fuel, PVC collection or change of Naira Notes, which of the queue stressful pas on: January 31, 2023, 03:44:44 PM
I just dy reason plenty things nai one message enter my head to think how we go dy manage for this contri as the year just dy start base on the task wey we government give us;

FUEL:- some filling station go just use there jaga jaga behavior take frustrate person from early morning till even night self, fuel go dy but to sell nah war. Moni na my own but them go still dy make yanga with high prize for that mata.

COLLECTION OF PVC:- this one self nah another wahala wey I no think say go stress piple, e get as you go enter d place dy wait for you own PVC wey look like your international passport wey you don arrange finish only to take am go your house them go delay you give you different stories like say nah MTN sim you wan go retrieve, after spending hrs for line them go say go and come back tomorrow, sometimes I go ask if I do bad to come collect this PVC or I do bad to register am.

NAIRA NOTE:- this one mata e be like say the contri wan rob us of our moni directly no be indirectly oh (no vex abeg I just hear those English language today) I still no understand why this CBN piple go say make we change our own moni on so so date as dead line and we go enter bank go dy stay like say nah burial we go, change my moni before I no go fit use am them go delay me say moni no dy, no be only moni no dy but the new moni no dy for why nah? I leave house yesterday by 6am to change moni, I no believe say nah by 4pm I leave bank and I still carry some of my old note come back.

For all these line up plus queues which one dy stress you pass and e go good make we share our own experience...
23  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / How NEPA dey treat you for your area? Good or bad? on: January 24, 2023, 12:15:11 PM
My fellow contri piple this NEPA issue nah really wahala we need to look into becos as we dey so we nid light to use do plenty things like to run our business make we no get money wahala. If light dey steady I no see any reason why my neighbor go go buy gen dey use am make noise and fuel prize self no dey help matter. Some of us wey no fit buy gen and fuel join no go fit even enter this forum dey do the normal thing.

Some piple area like my own self, we no trust the way light dey go OFF more than wen e suppose dey ON. The most annoying part nah the bill we dey receive every month, e reach to use pay pikin school fees oh. Make e no make piple reason something bad for NEPA oh, becos how you go use light for 3hrs per day (that's if dem pity us oh) then bring #30,000 plus bill or even more than dat self and expect us to jubilate like Arsenal wey win match, make we go dey pay that kind high bill eh, ha, na wa oh. And if them take the light we fit stay for darkness for like 3-5 days or even more e go give mosquito power to invade us like Russia wey invade Ukraine.
Me I weak abeg... How una see this issue wey strong pass karnel?
24  Other / Politics & Society / OMG! Putin ready to negotiate?! on: December 25, 2022, 04:36:26 PM
I guess it's safe to say Christmas has a way of doing things and it has certainly done something to Putin.
News has it that the Russian president and instigator of the invasion to Ukraine has come out to declare his intentions of opening talks with Zelenksy and his Western backers, but they seem to be saying "not yet".

The Russian invasion to Ukraine is in its tenth month and this war is the biggest confrontation between Moscow and the West since the Missile Crisis of Cuba in 1962. [1]

Are his actions actually genuine or is he really running from something entirely? More on this news here

25  Economy / Economics / Is Bitcoin here to stay in Brazil or??.. on: December 22, 2022, 09:28:41 PM
Pardon my lofty beliefs and assumptions but is it too much to think Brazil could be like El Salvador in terms of adopting Bitcoin as means of exchange? This thoughts were birthed out from this link here though.
It's no news that Bitcoin is still bearish and still not out of the woods yet with prices fluctuating from $16k- 17k in the past two weeks; there's at least some positives in the clouds for the  digital coin.

Brazil President, Jair Bolsonaro, has signed a bill which will be effective 180 days from today, the 22nd of December, recognizing the use of BTC as means of payment for trading purposes. This law would certainly encourage massive use and probably affect the price of BTC, hopefully.

But with the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) working to release it'd own digital coin, is Bitcoin being used as a sub to await the preparation of their CBDC or it would be given some important notice like El Salvador did??

26  Other / Politics & Society / Is Elon Musk giving up already?? on: December 19, 2022, 07:52:29 AM
Since the controversial buy of Twitter by Tesla and SpaceX boss, Elon; it was obvious that he moved from one form of "restructuring" to the other. Firstly, he began by shipping off key workers, to reducing workers pay cut and enforcing extra work hours amongst other things.

Things have taken another turn as it looks like the Chief Twit is running low on his initial energy as he has considered stepping down as CEO via a post on his account suggesting that a poll should be taken to that effect.
Elon has never been known to be apologetic for his actions or seek opinions(I stand to be corrected on that), so what's with the new pattern?

27  Other / Politics & Society / Iran backing up with Russia in this war against Ukraine? on: December 10, 2022, 02:57:22 AM
According to the US, the relationship between Russia and Iran has warmed up to be a fully fledged defense partnership.
Where are all these coming from, is the US trying to drag Iran into this war between Russia and Ukraine?
US national security council spokesman John Kirby said Iran is giving Russia an unprecedented level of military support.

The co-operation between Russia and Iran has been highlighted recently with Ukraine accusing Russia of using Iranian military drones in some of there attacks. Iran denied sending drones to Russia but later admitted to have supplied some drones before the invasion.
John Kirby said the partnership between Russia and Iran will cause much damage to not just Ukraine but as well as Iran neighbors and the international community. He also added that "Russia is seeking to collaborate with Iran in areas like weapons development, training, he said, adding that the US fears that Russia intended to provide Iran with advanced military components including helicopters and air defence systems. Iran has become Russia's top military backer. He said, Russia has been using Iranian drones to strike energy infrastructure, depriving millions of Ukrainians of power, heat, critical services. People in Ukraine today are actually dying as a result of Iran's actions."

In response to John Kirby statements, UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said that Iran has become Russians military supporter and there relationship will be threatening to global security.
He said the sordid deals between these two countries is for Iran to be sending hundreds of drones to Russia, in return, Russia is offering military and technical support to the Iranian regime which will increase the risk it poses to our partners in the Middle East and to international security.
He said the UK agreed with the US that Iranian support for the Russian military would grow in the coming months as Russia tries to get hold of more weapons, including hundreds of ballistic missiles.

Ukraine accused Iran of supplying Russia with "kamikaze" drones used in a series of attacks which killed at least eight people on 17 October.
Iran initially denied this, but later admitted sending a "limited number" of drones to Russia, "many months" before the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said this was a lie and that Ukraine was shooting down about 10 Iranian drones a day.

28  Other / Off-topic / MAN UNITED against CR7? on: November 16, 2022, 06:35:35 PM
Man Utd have reacted to Ronaldo's interview with Piers Morgan by issuing a press release. The club are keeping their cards close to their chest for now but reports have suggested that they are extremely unhappy with the situation.

This was published on their official website and it reads;
"Manchester United notes the media coverage regarding an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo, the club will consider its response after the full facts have been established. Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans."

The statement comes less than a day after clips of Ronaldo's interview with Morgan emerged on social media, with the veteran forward expressing his displeasure at the current state of Manchester United. As well as taking aim at manager Erik ten Hag, the Portuguese superstar also criticised former boss Ralf Rangnick.

29  Other / Politics & Society / Will Ukraine win the war with NATO's covert assistance? on: November 16, 2022, 03:07:28 PM
Ukraine applied to join the NATO, and in a bid to extend it's arm of support, member countries have pledged millions of dollars worth of air defence systems to guard Ukraine against Russia.

Countries that have pitched in to support Ukraine are Germany, the US, U.K, Canada, France, Netherland and Poland.
Germany has sent units of its Iris-T air infrared-guided air defence system, and the first four of them have already arrived in Ukraine.
Weapons from Germany include self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and portable surface-to-air missiles.

The US has pledged to send the NASAMS system, which can also shoot down aircraft, cruise missiles and drones. The US has also given Ukraine weaponry worth more than $15bn (£13.5bn), including the long-range Himars system, Javelin anti-tank missiles, howitzers and Switchblade "kamikaze" drones.

UK, Canada, France and Netherlands are also sending air defence systems.

Poland is providing almost a quarter of Ukraine's weapons from abroad, including T-72 tanks and missiles for its fighter jets. Some of the Soviet-era equipment it has provided has been upgraded to perform better.

Equipment sent by the UK includes NLAW anti-tank weapons and MLRS long-range missile systems.

Since the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, this has turn out to be a massive amount of arms NATO countries have been sending to Ukraine since February. In addition to these, NATO also included extensive training to Ukrainian troops.

I'm curious, with all this supplies will they be able to win or is
zelensky just prolonging the inevitable??
