1  Other / Beginners & Help / Selling my Sapphire Radeon HD5830 1GB XTREME on: August 24, 2011, 07:14:07 PM
I have three cards, all in mint condition, only mined with them for a few weeks. I rarely overclocked them. They are running nearly 250 dollars new on ebay + shipping and nearly impossible to find on newegg. I am willing to sell them off to the highest bidder. They include all original packaging as well as a pre made dummy plug needed to run multiple cards.

Please let me know via PM or through this thread if you are interested in buy them.

4  Other / Beginners & Help / Would anyone be interested in Mining with my pool on Triplemining.com on: July 24, 2011, 08:18:26 AM
triplemining.com

They give out weekly jackpots of 1.5 BTC. Pretty awesome pool, not too many people so your chances of getting the Jackpot are pretty good. Currently trying to start up my own little mining pool.

https://tman540.triplemining.com/register

You can register with the link right above. I was thinking of giving bonuses to the first 4-5 people who register under my pool.

I'm currently mining around 600 M/Hs but will be near 1 G/Hs within the next few days.

edit: Make sure you are mining with triplemining after registering. Some people are registering and not actually turning their mining resources to triplemining pool. Simply registering doesn't do anything for the greater mining pool. The longer you mine, the better!
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Need some advice with case fans. 120mm v 200mm on: July 23, 2011, 09:35:15 PM
I recently purchased a 120x120x35mm fan that spins about 3000 RPM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185054

The fan is absolutely amazing for the price. My GPU temps drop nearly 10ºc when the fan is on. The only problem I have with it is the noise. It truly is louder than most home fans lol.

I'm thinking of returning the original fan I purchased and buying a bigger fan with about 1500-2000 RPM. I assume the airflow will be very similar considering the blades are nearly 80MM larger.

I was thinking of grabbing one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146003

Advice? Thanks!
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Is 70ºC a good temp for 2x 5830 @ 975/325?? on: July 23, 2011, 09:10:12 PM
Getting about 300M/hash per and TRIXX is telling me GPUs are around 70C. Is that too hot?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Is it better to mine on smaller pools?? on: July 23, 2011, 08:52:38 PM
Mined for a few hours on Triplemining pool and my estimated award is pretty much double from what I did in slush pool. Thoughts?
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Just bought my 5830s. Need help getting them all to mine. PLEASE HELP!! on: July 22, 2011, 11:43:06 PM
New to the Bitcoin mining community. I just installed my 2x5830s (waiting for one more to come in the mail). I've already set up my GUIminer account and what not. I'm mining fine with one video card, however I can't seem to get the second one to work. Currently mining around 280-290 M/Hash. How do I get both of my cards to mine with GUIminer?? THANKS!
