"FAILED: Your account may need KBA or Dwolla API is down"
I'm positive I verified my Dwolla account awhile back, but Dwolla seems to be up and I get the deposit page fine. Anyone else having this issue?

Economy / Service Discussion / Mtgox

So whats the easiest way to get USD into gox now? I've been out of the game for awhile, but I see just recently in May they stopped Dwolla.
Are there any reliable Paypal to BTC methods yet or alternatives to Dwolla? I'm looking at CampBTX but its like 31 days of waiting for new accounts.

Bitcoin / Mining speculation / BFL Ban Directs Back Here

So apparently if you're a "Troll", the BFL forums redirect you here. LOL BFL is spitting on this community, but yet, I've seen more people defend their shady business here than on their own website. They're pretty blind.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Withdrawl from Mt Gox into Dwolla Question
|
on: August 07, 2012, 05:41:01 AM
|
Let me start with: I know the Mtgox and Dwolla situation has delays. I'm aware that they can take 6-8 days, possibly longer if there are delays. Also, I have both a verified Mtgox and Dwolla accounts. Mtgox more recently, Dwolla for a year +.
I've transferred money from Dwolla to Mtgox plenty, but NEVER money out of Mtgox into Dwolla (the inverse).
My question is how do you know if the process is in effect? I setup on Mtgox the widthdrawl method. Put in my Dwolla ID Waited for that to be verified I then said "transfer XX" amount of out Mtgox into my Dwolla account. I got an email with a transaction ID.
However I see nothing in my Dwolla account in regards to "pending" transactions or anything of that nature. Is or will there be? Is there anyway to check that I did things correctly?
I see in my Mtgox transaction history it says Status: Confirmed on the transaction. Nothing else. Does Confirmed mean it is currently in the wheelhouse and not yet moving, or does it mean that it is finished?
It's been several days (not even counting the weekend) and I'm in no rush - I just want to make sure something absolutely stupid didn't happen like the Dwolla ID was messed up or some crap like that.
---- Again, I understand there are delays with Mtgox and Dwolla. It's just there is very little confirmation about the transaction specifics details aside from an email with an transaction ID number.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Dwolla Really Does Takes Forever huh?
|
on: July 14, 2012, 07:05:09 PM
|
I've heard people say it, I experienced it myself before, but I figure I try again.
I request a withdrawal of money from my bank account to Dwolla. 4 days later it leaves my bank account, I get excited. 2 days later, and Dwolla is still "processing." The estimation was that it would be done on the 13th. It's the 14th now. It's Saturday and nothing is going to get done till Monday. The funds are just floating is mid air between accounts.
I just want a simple/quick method to getting money into my Mtgox account. I only used Dwolla again because I've done it before and I felt a little safer doing it. This isn't fun though.
EDIT: I'm going to clarify this again. I'm NOT complaining about the speed of Dwolla <-> Mtgox.
It is the speed of BANK <-> Dwolla. To get money out of my own bank account into Dwolla, regardless of what I intend to purchase after I get the funds into the account, takes forever.
Nothing to do with Mtgox specifically, I was just saying that I'm open to suggests for ~something other than~ Dwolla that goes from Bank to X to Mtgox faster

Bitcoin / Pools / Pay Per Share Clarity
|
on: July 10, 2012, 09:07:29 PM
|
I've been out of the mining stuff for about a year so excuse my ignorance/stupidity/whatever you name.
But if I'm pool mining, and I'm being paid per share, does it really matter what pool I mine into? Am I more likely to get more coins out of a huge, populated, and TH/s pool as opposed to a smaller, more closed, GH/s pool?
I mean, I just don't want to give up and leave my older pool (no naming) that I used to mine on. But if the profit is elsewhere, it is elsewhere you know.

Is there any chance I can run a 6990 and a 4870x2 on this single PSU? Or am I going to blow the whole thing up?

Other / Beginners & Help / Restoring Bitcoin Wallet
|
on: July 23, 2011, 07:53:55 AM
|
I had backed up my wallet.dat regularly. One day, my computer decided to crap out because GPU mining on my 6990 stressed my PSU to death. Sadly, the 1kw PSU met an unkind end due to its 5 year old age I suppose.
On any occasion, it took me several weeks to figure out it was the PSU due to multiple reasons. Not going there. What happened was my OS crapped out as well while trying to debunk the problem. A month later, my rig is up and running and better than ever. I never got around to restoring my wallet or bitcoin, and now I'm trying to.
I installed bitcoin, deleted the app directory out, and put in my old wallet.dat. So far, it says "0/unconfirmed" for all of my transactions. Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to change my address or something to my old one? How would one be able to find my old address?
