1  Other / Politics & Society / Julius Peppers stays in locker room for National Anthem, should he get cut? on: September 25, 2017, 03:48:46 AM
http://www.panthers.com/news/article-2/Julius-Peppers-explains-decision-to-stay-in-locker-room/49c1cf0f-72c3-4c0b-82d7-6c817e0a2bed

Julius Peppers declined to stand for the national anthem before the Panthers game verses the New Orleans Saints today. Instead he decided to be a coward and stay in the locker room. He says he was not disrespecting those who risk their lives to protect our country, but his actions say otherwise.

Should Jerry Richardson direct his interim GM Marty Hurney to cut Peppers?
2  Other / Meta / Unable to establish secure connection on: July 19, 2016, 05:32:49 PM
I have been receiving the following error message when attempting to browse (and post) the forum.

The first image is the message is with chrome, and the second is with Safari, both with iOS 9.32, not using WiFi.

Both mention not being able to establish a se use connection with Chrome also saying that it received an unknown error message.

This has gone on for about two days now, about every other time I navigate to a different page. Refreshing once (sometimes more) will allow me to navigate to the page I was attempting to navigate to. It has gotten worse as of late, to the extent that it has outright prevented me from being able to post from Chrome.

I have not experienced similar issues with other sites, so I don't think it is my connection/device. Using a VPN does not fix the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Hi nice coin.

I maybe intersted. Can you suggest an escrow? Thanks! Smiley
Hi,

I see that you posted expressing interest in my Lealana .1 BTC MS66 coin.

Where would shipping be to?

Regarding escrow providers, I would accept Tomatocage, Quickseller or PsychoticBoy as escrow, although I am willing to use any reputable escrow.

Let me know if you want to make an offer.

Kind Regards

I had sent you a PM within ~2 minutes of me making that last post. I additionally just send you a second follow up PM.

Additional Notes: This was a very traumatic experience, and I am not sure how I am going to recover from this. Any moral support would be greatly appreciated.
4  Other / Meta / Consensus of Community Opinion of Reputation Loans on: September 02, 2015, 06:56:37 PM
Reputation loans are a great way to earn a little bit of money in a short time period. They also could allow users to appear to be more trusted then might be appropriate. I believe that many reputation loans often would turn into progressively larger loans based on this trust that ends up in default, leaving the last lender holding the bag.

My question is, what is the overall consensus of the community regarding reputation loans? What appropriate action should be taken when such loans are discovered to be taken/be given?

If the person giving such loans knowingly does so, should they receive negative trust ratings for enabling what often turns out to be a scam?

If the person giving such loans knowingly does so, should their trust ratings be excluded because the primary reason for engaging in a particular deal was to give trust ratings?

If a person is discovered to have taken out a reputation loan, should they receive a negative trust rating for engaging in behavior that almost always results in a scam?

Should nothing happen to either those who give or receive such loans because it is a free market and people should learn to conduct their own due diligence?

Something other then the above?

(I am personally against reputation loans, but I will try to remain as neutral as possible in crafting this thread).

The poll will last for 5 days. I have no way to cause the selection of each users vote, however I would not be against such disclosure by the admins.

Kind Regards
Panthers52

9  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS]Casascius Brass halves ungraded (2013)[sold][closed] on: July 06, 2015, 06:07:44 AM
Up for sale are (3) (2)(1)(0) ungraded Casascius .5 BTC (2013) brass coins - one of these is up for auction https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1117370.0

I don't have a picture of them now, however I can post pictures within 24 hours when I can gain physical access to them.

I have no reason to believe they would receive anything other then a high grade from ANACS, however the recent premiums for graded brass Casascius coins do not allow me to feel like it is worthwhile to send them to ANACS, especially considering that I like silver coins much more.

To my knowledge, none of them have been touched by human hands.

Two of them are in plastic flaps and one is in an airtight capsule.

Escrow is accepted and I ask that the buyer pays the 1% escrow fee/tip (all reputable escrow services are cool with me)

Shipping - buyer pays for shipping - shipping is from the US

Asking price - looking for offers for one, two or all three of them (plus shipping and plus escrow) - I am hoping to get around .75 each for these coins

Escrow will probably be used, but if it is not then the only address I will ask you to send to is:
