2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Not sure of this but... on: May 09, 2019, 03:36:37 PM
Got three emails from these, Stellar airdrop for BTC and BCH owners, offering free crypto coin but I wasn't able to find anything about them on the web. So bells are ringing.

Anyone know if there is a problem with this faucet site. I have a payment due but the timer for said payment comes and goes but my balance stays the same, no payment sent. Having visited the required number of sites required for payment it would be good to get what I am owed after spending the time to reach the magic figured needed. Is the site broken? Or is there some other problem?
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / [BFL Jalapeno] head banging on: July 08, 2014, 05:19:13 PM
Need help with my jally. Yeah I know BFL. Anyways I got it ages ago but it wouldn't work and I couldn't justify spending more money sending it back to the US. Well I have managed to flash the unit using a Pi. Unfortunately BFG miner goes into a loop over comports. While CG refuses to recognise it even after using zadig. Easyminer does see the unit and I do get further using the BFG kernel. It feels as if am at the final hurdle and am now stumped as to what I have to do to get the jally running. I know I won't earn much but would still love to get it running.
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / 2 Jallies 1 Works on: November 23, 2013, 02:11:23 PM
I got my BFL order for two jallies this week. Sadly I have to report only one works and I don't have the funds to try to get a replacement from BFL. The one that works I got for my son and it is hashing away nicely for him. Sadly mine doesn't work on his computer or mine. I would send the dud back but as I said I can't afford to send it back from the UK to the USA as I have very limited funds. I only manage to get this hardware through mining using my graphics card but that has come to an end with the increased difficulty. At least my son is happy as are those at BFL who care little about customers.

What is happening with these? Are they stopped shipping them or something? For a while there it looked like BFL was sending them out at a less worrying rate. Now though they seem to have stalled. Com'on BFL get back to shipping the Jallies.

9  Economy / Service Discussion / MtGox Amateurs on: April 04, 2013, 03:40:14 PM
I recently sold 30 btc through MtGox but when I tried to withdraw the funds raised I hit the big brick wall of getting funds to the UK from MtGox. Yes others have had this problem for month which I have since learned but if MtGox wishes to be seen as professional they need to sort this out. As they haven't and they have had the problem for months then this proves how amateur their operation is. After buy back the coins, unfortunately with the increase in price I have less coins and am out of pocket due to the charges. I even had trouble getting my coins back as their software kept refusing to send me my balance. Eventually it did but my experience with dealing with them has left me with a bitter taste. As for selling my coins now I am not sure which is sad as I was planning on using the funds to get stuff for my family through local vendors in the UK. Now though to get these items I will be forced to go to the BitcoinStore which I have done business with before. Sadly this mean import tax coming out of our already stretched family budget. Who isn't suffering these days under the Coalition? So be warned avoid MtGox and look elsewhere to get btc's. Pity there wasn't an exchange that was available in the UK with the same ease of use at the front end as the aforementioned site.
