1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Nexus Niro Signature Competition on: October 26, 2015, 04:06:18 AM

Nexus Niro

Hello Bitcointalk, we need a great signature for our upcoming Signature Campaign!

First off, we want to thank the community for participation and patience as we have developed Nexus Core over the last 15+ months.

We want to give everyone in the community the opportunity to represent Nexusoft.io and Nexus Niro by implementing a high quality signature in their Bitcointalk profile that will stand out and bring more high quality community members into our ranks!

In order to celebrate our new team and the open-sourcing of Nexus Core on November 25th, we are holding this signature contest with currently over 46,000 NIRO in the prize purse.

Our main goal is to make a huge marketing push and community development effort as we open-source and begin moving Niro onto more exchanges.

Most of you already know a lot about Nexus Niro but any new-comers that wish to join this signature contest are welcome as well.  If you need information about Nexus please see the OP thread or ask us any questions.

2  Other / Archival / Can I get a third party to look at this message log and mediate? [Resolved, seller gave work out for free] on: September 07, 2015, 07:30:36 PM
Ok so here it goes.

Looking to have 2-3 different styles made please PM me with examples of your best

Here I am trying to get some designers to PM me with examples of their work so I can find someone to make me a few signatures.

I then receive about a dozen messages from different designers and I send them all the same message.

Ok let me see a example of how you would do this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=657601.msg7391879#msg7391879
Please review the infographics in the ANN. i would like maybe the "X" in the NEXUS.. or something that flows with the theme... and the text to be nice looking "Bitcoin rewrote from scratch: All problems solved"

Please note, I ask for a example. I do not accept or ask for any of these designers to START on a signature.

So you are up to speed now. Please review this message log directly from my inbox / outbox. If a mod can look in my inbox please confirm the legitimacy.

Some things to note, this designer sent me a price with the first couple messages. After receiving tons of examples and offers from a ton of people. He finally replied and sent me the example I requested, and it looked completely photoshopped. I replied with

before you get started on it , I have a offer from someone else to do one similar for 0.035, and after I would have some additional work

Am I wrong to think that if he wants to accept the job it will be for 0.035? ... In my personal opinion He should of replied   " 0.035 , NO THANKS " but instead he quoted me and continued on the conversation.. So I would like a public review of this message log and people tell me who is trippin here?

Not sure who is at fault here. There was clearly a communication problem here. But I want to stand my ground on the fact that I said 0.035 Is what I will pay. and he decided to go ahead and send me the code without even verifying if i really want him to design it or not. This is why I asked for a example. Feedback please.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / When Bitcoin moons... alt-coins will die. on: March 02, 2015, 09:17:06 PM
Ok so you have some bitcoin, buncha altcoins and youre just waiting for the day bitcoin moons like you've always dreamed.

You woke up this morning and bitcoin was $1,000 you bought in at $600 and you held ever since.. in debt.

So you immediately sell your bitcoin to regain your investment. You then are happy from your profits after many long bearish seasons.

You then realize you could sell all your altcoins for a ton of extra bitcoin! you cash out 1 btc  of your favorite coin but then you notice the buy support would only allow maybe a few more people like you to sell off their holdings for bitcoin.

After no more buy support every one is considered bagholding right? and would require more bitcoin or new investors to buy all those coins... who is going to buy play altcoins when they cost 10x as much in fiat money?  just wondering if anyone else pictured this scenario
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] Brand NEW.. same old alt-coin ICO scams. DID YOU KNOW? on: February 23, 2015, 07:24:24 PM
Ok guys, so here is how this works.
  • JimBo1 decides after seeing so many brand new alt-coins make so much volume on the hottest exchanges it was the big-leagues. his chance to score!
    • icocoin is the coin he will release! innovative!!

      • So he asks a couple friends for ideas, maybe some drawings and gets a plan together.

      •   .. All you need in a nice ico is a name,graphics,protocol-specs,downloads,exchange, optional[website].

        • Okay yay, everyone knows about your coin you made a [ANN] and you are holding your CROWDSALE ICO for shares of your big-project.

          • You give your dad 20 BTC and ask him to buy your coins in your ico, of course throughout the entire crowdsale randomly.

          • so your dad is holding 5,000 icocoin

            • you give your dad his 20 BTC back in exchange for the 5,000 icocoin

              • other ico funds you sold, nice job lad for your hard work.

              • ICO OVER, you now have 5,000 icocoins to sell at whatever price is greater than 0 to keep it profitable,  through-out the life of your project of course - be honerable.

                • sell sell sell sell, hype hype hype hype, sell sell sell sell
*disclaminer JimBo1 and icocoin is just an example
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How youll LOSE money with the hashlet. (read) on: September 08, 2014, 03:19:31 AM
You know why GAW is pushing hashlets so hard the last ~month?.... its because of these... https://turingstations.com/  "550MH/s – $4,899 ..Power Consumption: 1100-1200 Watt"  when these hit the network 1 mh isnt going to roi in 2 months.

... gaw miners 550MH... $11,000 when from turing you can get it for $4,900.

edit...not to meantion  at 550MH youre paying 8cents each per day... paying them 44$ a day ( for "maintenance"). dont get got friend... at 1200watts IF your KW/h was $.20 (very high)... it would only cost 6 dollers a day to run.
