1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Offline Mining Actually a Thing? on: May 15, 2024, 02:06:20 PM
Hey guys, I've always had an eye for earning passively and amongst my strategies as everyone in my cycle, is mining fringe tokens. In the recent past, I believe a lot of miners were able to earn some substantial rewards from tokens like Avive, Ice etc...

What puzzled me was when I came across Canxium a new mining prospect that introduces a concept of offline mining. They said their offline mining facilitates the areas with less or no internet access to mine CAU.

I just wanted to know how that could be feasible and how they would be syncing the data on the blockchain etc? Have anyone heard of this? How does it work? Is it worth it?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What does meta education actually mean? on: April 29, 2024, 06:02:00 PM
Slowly, we have witnessed the advent of meta and how virtual reality is bringing about new innovations. Although I don't own one of those expensive VR glasses but I always find myself at the fence when it comes to usage or not. Probably because I haven't tried it yet...

However, using it for educational purposes is something I read coming across GPTVerse. They seem to facilitate interaction, learning, and transactions within a virtual ecosystem. I actually understand how interactions and transactions work but I honestly can't wrap my head around metaverse education.

is the education referring to the usual prompts given to an AI or a more sophisticated approach?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why did the 1st Gen NFTs have to be so damn Ugly? on: April 27, 2024, 08:37:51 AM
To be honest, there are many things i will probably never understand about NFTs cos I couldnt understand the inspiration behind its ugliness. I think it was odd how the first generation NFTs, especially this ape club, were ugly as hell. Sure, the whole nft idea was bewildering really, but why was it all so ugly as well?

is there a hidden utility in ugliness or am i missing something?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is User Base the Biggest Factor in CEXs Growth? on: April 20, 2024, 10:13:54 AM
I remember reading through an article with a detailed report of the 2023 crypto industry and I was glued... I have to add that it was long though... I kept tabs with Coingecko's subsequent reports and I think the Q1 CEXs report which was released pre Bitcoin Halving came just in time and with some unexpected results!

The first quarter of 2024 saw a dynamic landscape in the cryptocurrency derivatives market but Binance maintained its dominant position in futures trading volume, holding a consistent share of around 43% throughout the quarter which I expected. OKX and Bybit followed closely behind, each capturing around 16% and 13% of the market share, respectively.

The twist for me was Bitget as it exhibited a notable uptick in its futures trading volume. While starting at 9% in February, the exchange saw a 3% increase to reach 12% by March. This growth coincided with an earlier report of a rise in Bitget's user base, expanding from 20 million to 25 million users during the same period.

On OI It was no surprise at this point seeing it surpassing OKX in March, propelling it to the third position behind Binance and Bybit.

Spot trading volume also witnessed a positive trend for Bitget, reaching over $95 billion by March. This growth allowed it to overtake competitors like Gate.io, HTX, and MEXC in the spot trading volume market.

Overall I believe, the first quarter of 2024 presented a mixed picture for the cryptocurrency derivatives market. While established players like Binance held their ground, Bitget emerged as a growing force, particularly in the spot and futures trading segments.

What other factors can propel a CEX growth?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Decentralized Exchange for Real Estate Actually A Thing? on: April 17, 2024, 01:39:45 PM
Its was hard to see how a market like Real Estate which operates in real space and real-time could be integrated with web3, this was my initial thought before i came across Parcl Labs recently. When i saw Parcl was a decentralized exchange focused on real estate (hence web3) it piqued my interest. Upon further research, i found that it allows users to speculate on the price movements of real estate markets in major cities around the world through "real estate synthetics" – financial instruments mimicking real-world assets in real-time.

The major discovery for me was learning how the Synthetics worked so it was a moment of understanding what I didn't really grasp before now. An important piece of its puzzle is $PRCL, the native Parcl. The platform utilizes it for governance, data access, and potential participation in future incentive programs.

Generally though, Parcl has garnered traction within the Solana ecosystem, achieving the highest Total Value Locked (TVL) among novel DeFi applications. It is no wonder that their V3 exchange has facilitated trading representing over $940 million in notional value and 2.1 million square feet of real estate exposure within a few months.

I believe Parcl Labs presents a unique approach to real estate investing in crypto space and with PRCL listed on Tier1 CEXs, its community will probably get even bigger.

Are there similar projects in these niche?
