1  Bitcoin / Mining / NiceHash Introduces RTPPS: A Unique Mining Reward System on: January 17, 2024, 10:29:49 AM
Hello BitcoinTalk Community,

We're excited to announce a significant development in the mining industry from NiceHash - the introduction of the term RTPPS (Real Time Pay Per Share)! This innovative approach builds on the familiar PPS (Pay Per Share) system, taking it a step further to better meet the needs of modern miners.

What is RTPPS?

RTPPS stands for Real Time Pay Per Share. It's our unique twist on the well-known Pay Per Share model. This system is specially designed to enhance the mining experience by offering real-time rewards for miners. It's a game-changer in the mining world, providing unprecedented flexibility and freedom in how miners operate.

Why RTPPS?

Our RTPPS model is more than just a payout system; it's a testament to our commitment to improving the mining industry. It allows miners to buy and sell hashrate in real time, giving them more control over their operations. This approach not only benefits individual miners but also contributes to broader bitcoin adoption.

Key Benefits:

  • Real-time rewards: Get paid for your mining efforts as they happen.
  • Flexibility: Buy and sell hashrate on your terms.
  • Improved mining experience: A modern system for the modern miner.

Join the Revolution:

This is an exciting moment for us at NiceHash and for the entire mining community. We're proud to be leading the charge in evolving mining practices, and we invite you to be a part of this journey. To learn more about RTPPS and how it stands to revolutionize the mining industry, visit our detailed blog post:

Introducing RTPPS: Unique Mining Reward System
https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/introducing-rtpps-unique-mining-reward-system?utm_source=BitcoinTalk&utm_medium=Post&utm_campaign=RTPPS

We're eager to hear your feedback and see how RTPPS will empower your mining operations. Let's pave the way to a more efficient and rewarding mining future together!

Best,
The NiceHash Team

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Kaspa Mining on: October 16, 2023, 08:17:52 AM
Kaspa miners can take advantage of the NiceHash kHeavyHash stratum to sell their hashrate. You can mine anonymously and get higher earnings directly in Bitcoin, or open an account and enjoy advanced mining statistics & reporting, frequent payouts, fast & cheap Bitcoin Lightning Network withdrawals and other advantages of the platform.
Kaspa mining has seen a lot of interest since the addition of ASICs to the network, and on the NiceHash social media accounts we are running a contest to win KS0 miners this month, feel free to enter. Find out how to connect your miners on the link below:

3  Bitcoin / Mining / NiceHash is paying 6% more than mining Bitcoin traditionally on: January 23, 2023, 01:39:27 PM
NiceHash payrate is 6% more than mining Bitcoin traditionally via a pool. Here is an explanation of how this is possible:

1️⃣ NiceHash is a hashpower marketplace.

Buyers are placing orders for hashrate. Orders can be manipulated by increasing or decreasing price and speed or canceling them.

2️⃣ NiceHash Buyers are solo mining

NiceHash helps ordinary users with almost zero Bitcoin knowledge to participate in mining and potentially confirming a block of transactions by buying hashrate. This can be done in a very user-friendly way with just a couple of clicks.

For example, buying a package of SHA256 hashrate for $200 currently gives a user probability of 1:608 to confirm a block and earn a full Bitcoin block reward.

3️⃣ Higher Bitcoin ASIC miner payrates

Buyers of hashrate are paying a premium price for hashrate and thus increasing the average payrate for the sellers (miners).

This is how much Bitcoin you would earn if you would mine at NiceHash:

❇ 5.59% more in the past 7 days
❇ 4.31% more in the past 30 days
❇ 6.33% since September

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / NiceHash EQM Zcash NVIDIA optimized miner [Maxwell/Pascal] + CPU mining v1.0.4c on: November 11, 2016, 11:12:26 AM
Hey folks,

This is a heavily optimized Zcash (Equihash) miner for CUDA, brought to you by NiceHash.

Up to 400 Sol/s @ stock GTX 1070

WINDOWS and LINUX

Works on all GPUs with SM5.0 or more. Do not even try to run on older cards, won't work.

Also, there are some improvements regarding CPU mining; ability to use locked pages, works good on multi-cpu servers/rigs with no additional settings needed.

There are no additional settings needed for GPUs, the default should be the best for most, but just in case, several options are provided and you may choose among them (use -h to learn more).

This miner has 0% fees but is currently compatible only with NiceHash.

DOWNLOAD WINDOWS version (Windows 7+)

DOWNLOAD Linux Ubuntu 14.04 version

DOWNLOAD Linux Ubuntu 16.04 version

(Linux versions might work on other Linux distributions as well, but haven't been tested)

Known issue on Linux: Ctrl+C does not stop the miner, you have to use stop.sh script (included in zip archive) or simply do "pkill -9 -f eqm".

If you're getting `GLIBCXX_x.x.x' not found on Ubuntu 14.04, try this:

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libstdc++6

See eqm -h for help.

GPU mining only:

Code:
eqm -l [LOCATION] -t 0 -u [YOUR-BTC-ADDRESS] -w [WORKER-NAME]

CPU + GPU mining with 4 cores:

Code:
eqm -l [LOCATION] -t 4 -u [YOUR-BTC-ADDRESS] -w [WORKER-NAME] -cd [GPUs]

[LOCATION] = "eu", "usa", "hk", "jp"

[GPUs] = 0 1 2 3 ...

IMPORTANT: to achieve maximum speed you should enable two threads per GPU:

Code:
-cd [GPU0] [GPU0] [GPU1] [GPU1]...

for example, when using two threads per GPU while having three GPUs in the system:

Code:
-cd 0 0 1 1 2 2

or you can simply use -ca parameter to run on all cuda devices:

Code:
-ca -ca

Notes on CPU mining: this miner has support for LOCKED PAGES; it can give few extra % of performance. How to enable: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190730.aspx (you may have to restart OS after changing). CPU mining supports "big servers" with more than 64 cores and there is no need to manually fiddle with affinities and NUMA nodes. Just set -p (number of CPUs) and -t (number of CORES per CPU) and miner automatically deals with it.

Keep on mining!

Best regards,
NiceHash team.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / ZCASH / ZEC Pool by NiceHash - full Stratum: https://zcash.nicehash.com/ on: November 10, 2016, 12:04:29 AM

While being known for its hashing power marketplace, NiceHash also runs a pure Zcash pool.
First, you need to know that this pool is not the same pool as NiceHash's selling hashing power pool.
It is an independent pool for mining ZEC - Zcash. All that you need to start mining is your Zcash wallet address.
If you need help along the way, read our Getting started.

For miners:
Code:
Host: stratum.zcash.nicehash.com
Port: 3357
Username: Your Zcash wallet address
Password: x

For hashing power buyers:
If you are planning to mine ZEC by buying hashing power on NiceHash, you should first view this special promo of ours before you decide which pool to use. For every order you make on NiceHash, we'll deduct 3% order fee (meaning 0% order fee) if you choose our Zcash pool for mining.

10  Economy / Services / [5 BTC] AntMiner firmware job on: July 25, 2015, 01:14:29 PM
Hi,

This is a job offer to prepare and test updated AntMiner firmwares with additional features. The main reason is to get updated AntMiner cgminer binaries and full firmwares with new patches (extranonce.subscibe, nextdiff bug, etc.), because Bitmain is not including newer versions of cgminer into their firmwares. The job is to:

A. Build current versions of cgminer:
- basis is our master branch of cgminer: https://github.com/nicehash/cgminer-ckolivas
- you must build cgminer binaries with latest drivers for AntMiner S2, AntMiner S3, AntMiner S4, AntMiner S5 and AntMiner C1

B. Compose full firmwares:
- compose full firmwares for seamless firmware upgrade/replace for AntMiner S4, AntMiner S5 and AntMiner C1 (no need for AntMiner S2 and S3 since cgminer binary can be directly replaced on running firmware)
- basis is smit1237's work with custom firmwares (see S4, S5 and C1 firmwares here https://www.nicehash.com/?p=software#cgminer)

All cgminer binaries (S2, S3, S4, S5, C1) must be tested and all firmwares (S4, S5, C1) must be tested (ask community for help if you don't have your own miners).

Once the job will be completed and we'll receive binaries and firmwares we'll pay for the job 5 BTC. We already had some jobs successfully completed (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=362449) and we're running a trustworthy service since April 2014.

For any additional questions please post reply to this thread.

Kind regards,
NiceHash
11  Economy / Gambling / NiceHash one-click Blockchain Lottery: play and win full 25 BTC block reward! on: April 24, 2015, 01:34:41 PM

Bitcoin blockchain lottery

Bet on full 25 Bitcoin block reward!

Are you ready to try something new, a core Bitcoin technology backed lottery? Welcome to NiceHash one-click Blockchain Lottery! Register an account at www.nicehash.com and check out your Account / Blockchain Lottery. You can purchase one-click tickets for Blockchain Lottery. Each ticket will enable Bitcoin solo mining for up to 24 hours and give you a chance to win 99.5% of full BTC block reward, including Bitcoin block transaction fees - usually altogether more than 25 BTC! You can buy as much tickets as you wish with various probabilities to win the Bitcoin Lottery.

Keep in mind that this is a pure Bitcoin technology, integrated into Blockchain and supported by the Bitcoin core technology - there are approximately 144 Bitcoin blocks found each 24 hours, totaling approximately 3600 Bitcoins per day.

One of the goals of this service is also to dress solo mining in an outfit that is more attractive to all the gamblers that usually gamble only in casual casinos where underlying technology is vague/hidden/secret and not well documented. With Bitcoin solo mining, there are no secrets, everything is visible, open and each one can verify his chances. After all, the block reward that gets paid out is not paid out of our pockets - but it is generated by bitcoin network; we actually hope that our gamblers find as much blocks as possible, because that benefits us, too.

We wish you the best of luck!

19  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / cgminer extranonce.subscribe extension (binaries available for download) on: November 07, 2014, 01:33:31 PM
Hi,

*edit: cgminer extranonce.subscribe extension is now confirmed to be working, therefore this OP was modified with links to actual binaries (universal windows for some USB miners and binaries for AntMiner S1, S3 and Spondoolies SP20):

*edit 2015-02-25: cgminer extranonce.subscribe extension is now included in AntMiner S5 and Spondoolies SP20 and SP3x firmware, so all you have to do is update your firmware and add #xnsub at the tail of stratum connection string

https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=software#cgminer

Source is available here: https://github.com/nicehash/cgminer-ckolivas, so maybe someone could make binaries for some other ASIC devices as well.

When you test it, make sure you add #xnsub at the end of the stratum connection string to enable extranonce subscription:

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub -u enterYourBTCaddress -p x

When your miner successfully connects, take a look at the miner stats page:

https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=miners&a=1&addr=enterYourBTCaddress

and make sure you see extranonce subscription confirmation:

Feedback appreciated. Please report if you have any success and if all is fine we will propose to push this feature in other cgminer forks and from there it will hopefully made its way into various ASICs firmwares...

Thanks!
20  Economy / Services / Easy programming job - NeoScrypt algorithm validator [DONE!] on: November 05, 2014, 08:52:47 PM
*edit*: Job done!

The job is basically fairly simple. You need to provide a function, coded in C (copy-paste & merge code from existing miners, for example cpuminer-multi - https://github.com/wolf9466/cpuminer-multi, or https://github.com/vehre/neo-gpuminer) which takes input parameters from stratum (prevhash, coinbase, merkleroot, ntime, extranonce1&2, nonce,...) and returns share diff (double). We would include this function in our stratum-proxy server, used to validate shares for NeoScrypt algorithm. The code must compile under VS2010 (32bit mode C, not C++).

Here are the list of input parameters:

params[] = Hash of previous block. Used to build the header.
params[] = Coinbase (part 1). The miner inserts ExtraNonce1 and ExtraNonce2 after this section of the coinbase.
params[] = Coinbase (part 2). The miner appends this after the first part of the coinbase and the two ExtraNonce values.
params[][] = List of merkle branches. The coinbase transaction is hashed against the merkle branches to build the final merkle root.
params[] = Bitcoin block version, used in the block header.
params[] = nBit, the encoded network difficulty. Used in the block header.
params[] = nTime, the current time. nTime rolling should be supported, but should not increase faster than actual time.
params[] = ExtraNonce 2
params[] = nonce

We can send existing validators (C source files) where problem is already resolved for other algorithms (Scrypt, SHA...) - contact us via PM or @ info@nicehash.com if you are interested.

Of course you must test your function with some example shares - your algorithm should return the same diff as it is received, for example, by cgminer:

If you know the guy that implemented this stuff into the cpuminer-neoscrypt itself or some other programmers, that contributed to NeoScrypt algorithm, please forward them this job description.

We will pay 0.2 BTC for this job when done ... it is just some code copy&paste and testing. Contact us via PM or @ info@nicehash.com if you are interested.

Thanks.
