Yep, it is indeed annoying having that altered balance, I try to take my own advice and not let it bother me.

Gladly, that stuff isn't that popular recently. If someone was to destroy my halving-funded coins, I would probably be pissed like sh*t.

I would be severely pissed as well. But there's nothing to prevent it from happening. It happened to 2 coins of mine in 2014. Nothing since. I'm sure a large portion of coin collectors have at least one "altered" coin.

Is that a big issue if someone randomly sends dust (or more) to a physical bitcoin in terms of its value to collectors?

That is a question I have been trying to find the answer to myself. I believe it really shouldn't affect the value. Note this is my personal opinion. Take a site such as uberbills for example, where anyone can obtain the full address of coins made by Casascius. Anyone has the ability to send a single satoshi to every address on there, thereby altering all coins.

Now, does this still affect the value in a negative way? ( None of this has anything to do with collectors having personal preferences that their coins are unaltered, like myself. But ultimately we cannot do anything about it if they are )

I would like to know collectors opinions on these dust transactions that appear. Please vote and discuss so we can get a better idea of how we all feel about this

Up for sale is a PCGS Graded 2006-W American Buffalo 1oz Gold Coin. It has been graded at PR70 DCAM. The registration number for this coin is 9990.70/13824159, the bold part being the number you check at www.pcgs.com/cert. The coin has some unfortunate oxidisation on it due to something occuring during the manufacturing process, I've tried to demonstrate this in the pictures. This will come with the original box and high quality coin holder - not that it's needed but no point in me keeping the box. I'm looking to sell this for BTC or trade for physical crypto coins. PCGS values this coin at $2400. I'm looking for BTC2.7 2.55 including International Shipping. Serious offers will be considered. Edit: This is located in the UK.

Due to the issues with this coin, it has been de-slabbed and sold in box to a local coin dealer for £1100 with Gold Spot @ £1050. It was becoming clear that this was difficult to sell in the holder, the coin is effectively ruined for numismatists and collectors, including myself.

In mid 2014 I purchased several physical bitcoins from TitanBTC, all of which I'm extremely happy with. One of these would appear to be quite rare. I was in contact with Tim Fillmore from Titan through our respective Bitcointalk handles in 2014 and was able to purchase 1 of 7 Titan One BTC Gold 1oz Coins that he'd had graded by ANACS. All of these apparently graded PF67 DCAM according to Tim at the time. I grabbed one whilst I had the opportunity. I still have all copies of messages between him and myself to verify this. I'm unsure of TitanBTC's presence on the forums nowadays but I'm sure he'd verify all of this with information I could provide him.

This coin is a beauty, and is one of the prizes in my collection. I would understand a decent amount of buyers would get their coin graded by ANACS after purchase, but how many have one that was graded by the original mint? I also think this is another case of ANACS under-grading coins as imo this coin is flawless and if was sent for regrading would achieve a higher score. Pictures can and will of course be provided to serious parties. I am a little out of date with how things work around here nowadays so please advise on how best to do provide pictures, publicly or not - thanks. I would like to see what current offers would be for an item such as this. Serious offers in BTC only. Also a Casascius 2013 Brass 1BTC Series 2 ungraded in well handled condition, this occurred before I acquired it. Please note all coins are fully funded.
