2  Economy / Trading Discussion / 💹 Do you prefer Scalping, Day trading, or Swing trading ? on: October 09, 2025, 10:57:13 PM
Hey traders
I've been doing Day trading for a while now cuz I love analyzing the markets and taking trades within the same day

What's your preferred trading style and why ?
Do you scalp for quick wins or swing for long-term setups or stick with day trading like me ?

Let's compare and maybe even pick up some new strategies from each other
Scalping, Day trading, or Swing trading
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Critical security flaw in Chrome discovered by Google's own AI on: August 28, 2025, 12:12:03 AM
Just a quick but important heads-up for anyone using Google Chrome
If you're using wallets, trading tools or browsing exchanges via Chrome you're potentially exposed unless you're already updated

recently a zero-day flaw in Chrome’s ANGLE/GPU components, allowing attackers to bypass sandbox protections and potentially execute arbitrary code via malicious WebGL or GPU content
Anyone using the browser should make sure they are using the latest version
Ensure your Chrome browser (or any Chromium-based variant) is updated to at least version

In the version announcement, Google remains famously tight-lipped about the details of the vulnerability. It is a "use after free" bug where the program code accesses resources that have already been released and therefore have undefined content. This bug can be found in the WebGL render backend Angle (CVE-2025-9478 / EUVD-2025-25822, no CVSS yet, but"critical" risk according to Google). The CVE entry at least reveals that attackers from the network can abuse a memory error on the heap, for example with carefully prepared HTML web pages – often succeeding in infiltrating and executing malicious code, which can also be assumed here due to the severity.

The developers have patched the vulnerability in Google Chrome versions 139.0.7258.158 for Android, 139.0.7258.154 for Linux and 139.0.7258.154/.155 for macOS and Windows. The update is now available for download

If you’re using Chrome—or any Chromium-based browser like Edge, Brave, Opera, or Vivaldi—update immediately to the patched versions to protect against these active threats.

4  Other / Beginners & Help / 🏆 If You're New to Crypto Here's Some Stuff I Wish Someone Told Me Early On on: August 25, 2025, 09:43:53 PM
Been in crypto for a bit now not a pro, not rich, just someone who’s been around long enough to make some gains, lose some coins, and facepalm at my own mistakes
If you’re just getting started here are some real advice from someone who’s been through it

Bitcoin has always 8 Decimal and the smallest fractions is 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 BTC
Since bitcoin was born most of people have lost their access to their bitcoin by not saving and securing their secret seed don't be one of them!
Pay attention to  Security > Everything
Use 2FA don't click weird links NEVER give out your seed phrase no one legit will ask for it not support not admins not even your dog

- Don’t leave coins sitting on exchanges
Not Your Keys, Not Your Coins If your crypto is sitting on an exchange and you don’t control the private keys you don’t really own it !!!!!!
Dont get fooled from Earn Daily Rewards or Airdrops that are worth cents
Seriously if the exchange goes down gets hacked, or decides to “freeze withdrawals” your coins are toast
THIS HAS HAPPEN MANY TIMES ON THE PAST IT CAN HAPPEN TOMORROW TOO

Get yourself a wallet write down your seed phrase store it somewhere safe You’ll thank yourself later
You can use Bitcoin Core or Electrum  https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=5&platform=windows

- Learn the basics
You don’t need to become a developer, but it helps to know:
What is a wallet?
What’s the blockchain actually doing?
What is mempool?
Trust me it makes everything less intimidating
https://mempool.space/

- You can buy a tiny bit of BTC
Most of people say now days that bitcoin is only for rich which is a big mistake
You don’t need to buy a whole Bitcoin you can throw in $10 and just learn how sending/receiving works don’t let the price scare you off

- Ignore any Email related to update your Wallet
most of people lost their bitcoin by clicking malware links or phishing

- Be careful from Drainers
there are website that ask you to connect your wallet to get an Airdrop (free coins of an project) 99% them are scam
once u connect your wallet your Coins will be gone ( even if you have 0$  but you add balance to that wallet after few months they will be gone )
Read more about Drainers here https://usa.kaspersky.com/blog/what-is-a-crypto-wallet-drainer/29713/

Use 2 wallets  1 Main for Long term which you only store your Bitcoin as an invesment and dont touch till you are a millionaire
and the 2nd wallet for any payments or thing u need daily

That’s all I got just wanted to throw this out there in case it helps someone dodge a few mistakes I made early on
Anyone else got tips for the newer folks? Drop ‘em below

Hey everyone
I’ve always been a big fan of dark mode hust feels way easier on the eyes especially late at night
I was kind of surprised to see that Bitcointalk still doesn’t have a dark theme built in but I found a really easy way to fix that
so if you’re like me and wish Bitcointalk had a dark mode here’s a quick way to make it happen

  • Install the extension Dark Reader
  • add bitcointalk.org on the list
  • click the Dark Reader icon toggle it ON

hope this helps someone I figured others might appreciate a more comfortable viewing experience too
Let me know if you’ve found any other cool tweaks for Bitcointalk

7  Local / Deutsch (German) / Einsteigerfrage zu BIP32 welche pfade sollte man nutzen? on: July 27, 2025, 02:33:49 AM
Hallo
