5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Did MAGOS evaporate? on: October 16, 2017, 03:21:47 PM
Looked like a promising project (blockchain and AI), and the ICO was conducted last August.

Now, official website (https://magos.io) is down, and all the official social pages I could check seem to be gone (https://twitter.com/MagosNetwork and https://www.facebook.com/MAGOS.io/).

Anybody has some fresh info about MAGOS?
6  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] crypto.rodeo, a community-based service for crypto products and services on: March 30, 2015, 02:20:49 PM
Hi,

We have just launched crypto.rodeo, a collaborative website to discover, rank and announce new bitcoin, crypto-currencies and blockchain-based products and services.

It's free and anyone can submit any link, provided that the linked product/service is related to cryptos.
The idea is to create a "Product Hunt" for cryptos, with a rating allowing the best products/services to get more exposure...

Have a look and tell us what you think!

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] Crypto.direct, news service on Altcoins on: January 03, 2015, 12:16:03 PM
Hi all,

We've just launched a new Web-magazine devoted to Bitcoin and Altcoins: http://crypto.direct.

Crypto.direct intends to provide simple, short and factual daily news on crypto-currencies, focusing on usage and targeting a global audience.

We will not talk much about mining, algos, trading or financial profits, but rather let people know what they can actually do with cryptos, and help them understand the benefits of using crypto-currencies.

You can read more about this project here: http://crypto.direct/about/ or in our FAQ: http://crypto.direct/faq/

Comments, critics, advices are welcome! The site is still young, so please be indulgent...

9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Science/Research news: Cryogenic on-chip quantum electron cooling on: September 14, 2014, 11:13:46 AM
Not sure it's short term, but this could change a few things in the ASIC world…

Quote
Researchers at UT Arlington have created the first electronic device that can cool electrons to -228 degrees Celsius (-375F), without any kind of external cooling. The chip itself remains at room temperature, while a quantum well within the device cools the electrons down cryogenic temperatures. Why is this exciting? Because thermal excitation (heat) is by far the biggest problem when it comes to creating both high-performance and ultra-low-power computers. These cryogenic, quantum well-cooled electrons could allow for the creation of electronic devices that consume 10 times less energy than current devices, according to the researchers.
