Economy / Speculation / Everything is going red except Bitcoin which is up $100 already and climbing
on: June 24, 2016, 12:17:07 PM
Stocks, bonds, even altcoins are red. It shows again that when in doubt, Bitcoin is the killer place to be, you will get the most gains. Gold is boring, marketcap is too big to profit from big swings. Buying and holding BTC and seeing it grow as the world economy collapses is a great feeling. Sell all of your alts and crappy stocks, time to go all in.

Other / Off-topic / Do you still have time to reach the 21 BTC goal?
on: June 22, 2016, 01:45:32 PM
Everyone that knows what's up wants to reach that goal at all costs, but only 1 million people (in fact, now much less since coins keep getting lost + current owners) will be able to make it.
Will you be one of them? I think I can do it but the price needs to stop going up. I was happy that the rally stopped since it just means I have more time to reach this goal, but I have a feeling we will be on 800+ soon once whales are done with buying cheap BTC. If it goes that high I think I will not make it in time.

Economy / Gambling discussion / UFC 200 Heavyweight: Brock Lesnar vs Mark Hunt
on: June 19, 2016, 03:50:29 PM
I have not seen a thread for this big fight. A lot of hype means a lot of money will be made that night. I think the odds will be against Brock Lesnar because his UFC record is too short, Mark Hunt is a world class kick boxer so Brock can be in danger. Brock claimed he had an illness that hindered his performance, so the money is in if you think Brock will show in top shape and use some wrestling on Mark Hunt.
Please post sites to bet on this fight with Bitcoin when you see them here.

Economy / Speculation / FUDsters getting destroyed as we speak: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin continues
on: June 16, 2016, 11:05:50 AM
As expected, after the correction happened, smart people just bought more BTC, idiots sold for their useless fiat currencies, and are now out of the winning train, or might I say, rocket.
We are going to $1,000+ soon, bears will get burned, so will those that sell during corrections trying to play the market. Stay safe and don't forget to HODL.

Economy / Speculation / People expecting to short during an hypothetical halving dump will get fucked
on: June 13, 2016, 03:10:40 PM
It seems some people are expecting to short during a halving correction. Sounds good, in principle, but if we only we had the power to see the future, that would be sane, too bad we don't.
The only thing we know is, we are going to the moon, the last ATH will get surpassed. A lot of scared people that bought during the last ATH, will sell trying to get in again later, but this correction may not happen, or it may be smaller than you think, leaving you behind.
Don't sell your tickets to the moon over corrections. The overall trend is an unstoppable up. Corrections of 100 dollars up and down will be irrelevant.

Economy / Speculation / 50 shades of kwukduck
on: May 30, 2016, 03:32:17 PM
kwukduck is one of my favorite FUDsters. He is always FUDding no matter what, he gets 1 right prediction over 100 wrong predictions, but he never stops. Also notice how he goes from saying ETH is a scam to saying ETH will kill BTC because now fits his agenda to use whatever he can to attack BTC. Let's remember some of his recent hits: When Craig verifies he is Satoshi later today we will drop to double digits within minutes and not recover.
Exposing Satoshi, no matter who he is will almost instantly destroy bitcoin. Which i believe was the whole plan of Craig and Gavin in the first place. They will probably offer us a 'magical solution' once bitcoin and its economy are in ruins.
Problem-Reaction-Solution-Profit
It looks like the dumps are on again. Prepare for a wild ride! Will we drop below $400 this time?
As more and more people discover that the implementation of SegWit only pushes the problem forward for maybe a few months, we can expect prices to plummet again.
And what's funny is, not long ago he was saying ETH was a scam: Besides a hype. I would call it a scam.
There are only a few at coins that bring something significant to the world of crypto where bitcoin can still grow, eth is definitely not one of them.
I just hope all of bitcoin, that means the main developers all contributors, miners and the community as a whole will work on making and keeping bitcoin strong by learning from others and acknowledging there are problems that need to be addressed.
Reading up on SegWit gives me some hope.
But suddenly now ETH will kill BTC: ETH is quickly taking over crypto, nothing can stop it basically. It's superior in every way imaginable to all other crypto. Haters gonna hate.
Bitcoin is crippled and with the rise of Ethereum it's soon to collapse conpletely by superior competition and because its destroying itself.
This is how FUDsters operate. Just no consistence whatsoever. One day ETH is shit, other is Bitcoin 2.0. One day segwit brings hope, other day segwit is nothing...

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / When you print something, the files you print get stored somewhere u dont know?
on: May 27, 2016, 02:53:30 PM
I was wondering about making a bip38 encrypted paper wallet, but I have the worry of the QR codes being kept somewhere during the printing process, maybe in some kind of temporary file that I don't know of. I want to be sure that I completely delete the file that has the private QR code from my hard drive, so I will use the program called Eraser. The problem is, I don't know if when you print something, the file you are printing, like I said before, gets stored temporarily in other folder, or something like that, or even on the hardware of the printer? somehow. But I doubt it, my printer is a pretty old HP one, so I doubt it has the ability to store stuff. I hope my question makes sense, if not then I can try to rephrase it.

Economy / Gambling discussion / David Haye vs Arnold Gjergjaj (Heavyweight box match tonight). Any sites to bet?
on: May 21, 2016, 03:22:03 PM
Im trying to find where to bet bitcoin for this match, I would like to bet a win for David Haye. He is looking ready and he is the better boxer in my book. Sure, Arnold G is undefeated, but I think Hayemaker experience is just too big and he may face his first defeat tonight. So this seem like easy money to me. Please let me know some sites to bet since I don't have any fiat now since I bought Bitcoin this month so im all on Bitcoin for extra money.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can you trust stuff like Hashocean?
on: May 17, 2016, 01:51:52 PM
Im thinking about ways to put some of my bitcoins to generate some passive income instead of just sitting there for a decade. Ive seen a lot of talking about making gains with hashocean, but it takes about 2 to 3 months for return of investment to be made, and beyond those 2 to 3 months you start making gains. Of course, who knows if hashocean will be operative in not 2 to 3 month, but tomorrow...

Economy / Speculation / The halvening is now officially fueling up
on: May 07, 2016, 12:23:04 PM
http://www.thehalvening.com/I swear that truck with the fuel was not here a couple of days ago. Things are happening and the hype is real. This Craig Wright incident only helped getting the community stronger than ever and the mainstream attraction towards bitcoin is at all time highs. The price is in fact going up. I can't wait for this summer, I know something great is about to happen.

Economy / Gambling / Slots site with the best graphics?
on: April 30, 2016, 02:03:48 PM
What is the best bitcoin slot machine you ever played? I can't find any other than bitcoinvideocasino that's good enough. When you play a long session with progressive wins sometimes it can last like 1 hour, and you end up with an headache because people isn't spending any effort into making their gambling sites look good, so I appreciate the good graphics if you are going to be looking at it for a long period of time. Also please the slot machine must be of 5 slots and not only 3 or 4.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Address recieves 2800 BTC within 24 hours (and why we need CT and Coinjoin)
on: April 29, 2016, 02:35:03 PM

https://blockchain.info/address/1FXqE2ixnnSB1kvwbMtWma5xQ2bVbkSq3fWow look at that shit! how much money is that? crazy. And the address doesn't stop receiving more and more coins! everyone is speculating already. Some people has been doing research and one theory is it may be a OKCOIN cold storage address, but why wouldn't they split accross other addresses to not create a millionaire address which always raises the eyebrows of curious people and in general? I mean it's pretty crazy. The fact that there's a lot of people talking about this right now and investigating proves the quick need of Confidential Transactions and Coinjoin. Imagine if it was your business and everyone was speculating and researching on your money movements! Please Core devs give us more privacy soon!

Economy / Gambling discussion / Idea for website: slither.io clone
on: April 17, 2016, 03:58:28 PM
We've seen the success of agar.io, and there is a clone called chopcoin (find more info by using the search function on this website). Well now the new sensation is slither.io: A game where you are some sort of snake. I think we need a clone that adds the ability to gamble with money, and steal other people's money, and by money I obviously mean Bitcoin.
Ideally we should make the official slither.io game accept Bitcoin and integrate it but I doubt they will bother, so maybe someone can make a clone and make it work.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin dies for the 100th time!
on: April 09, 2016, 03:33:42 PM
Amazing. I was looking forward to this moment. On this webpage for those that don't still know, they make a compilation of news that are about how Bitcoins dead, how Bitcoin is doomed, how it is a failed experiment... in general, how Bitcoin is done for. And guess what: We are celebrating death number 100! www.bitcoinobituaries.comAnd of course, it had to be yet another smartass CEO ! John Biggs is CEO of stealth bitcoin startup Freemit and a former editor at TechCrunch. His work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, Gizmodo and Men's Health. Those idiots will never learn I guess. So how are we celebrating 100th anniversary?

Other / Meta / Anyone noticed the FUD bots in the speculation section?
on: March 29, 2016, 12:30:21 PM
I think it has been more than a year of some weird nicknames registering (such as BRXblb or g0qMmf etc) just to make 1 post accounts with how Bitcoin is doomed and everyone should sell and so on (the usual bullshit). I can't believe how persistent the guy running this bot must be, there must be hundreds if not thousands of accounts banned already. If you see giberish nicknames like those on the speculation section just insta report everything.

Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / What does "ban node for X time" do?
on: March 22, 2016, 01:55:13 PM

I don't want to support troll hardfork attempts like Classic, should banning every time I connect to Classic nodes help Core in some way? What would happen if everyone running Core banned Classic nodes from connecting to them? I just don't want those leeches anywhere near me.
