1  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS][EU] Antminer s3+ including PSU. Pay postage and anything you want. on: February 02, 2022, 03:36:46 PM
Hey Bitcointalk.

Im cleaning up a bit and I need to pass on the Antminer...

Its an S3+ and comes with a PSU, so its pretty much plug and play.

This miner is of course not profitable in anyway.
But if you are a hobby miner like me, who just wants to play around, then its great.

Im located in Denmark, pay the postage and anything above that is very much appreciated!

Hashrate: SHA-256 478Gh/s 366W with software updates.

It has not been used much, mostly for testing and mining as a hobby.

It is located in Denmark, ill ship it to anywhere within the EU.
Buyer pays for shipping.

Open to offers.

As 99.99% of you know, this is not a profitable miner.
It belongs in a museum or mining tiny coins for fun.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / PennyCrypto, a subreddit for low cost coins. on: February 01, 2021, 03:27:25 PM
Hey everyone,

A lot of you might have seen the shenanigans with r/WallStreetBets playing with Gamestop, AMC and some other stocks.
From that, a new influx of users to the crypto world has been created, as a lot of these new investors were introduced to the Dogecoin subreddit.

From the recent hype, a lot of new users have started to look into both penny stocks and low-value cryptocurrencies.

For that reason, I made r/PennyCrypto.
https://www.reddit.com/r/PennyCrypto/

Its a subreddit dedicated to cryptocurrency valued at $1 or less per coin.
This of course does not account for the total market cap of the project.

Any feedback is appreciated.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin cant sync, help! on: January 29, 2021, 12:33:17 PM
Hi everyone.

I am trying to move my dogecoin, but my wallet just doesnt sync.
I have tried everything when it comes to adding a bootstrap (put me 15% forward).
Adding nodes and such.

I even tried to get Multidoge so I could set that up and import my wallet onto that one instead.
But nothing seems to be working, as its own sync mechanism is doing like 1 block every 1 min.
And I have 500/500 Fiber and a nice gaming computer, so that should not be the bottleneck.

Does anyone have some tips or suggestions to how I can sync or in other ways move my coins?

Thank you! Cheesy

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Blockchain Bootstrap? on: January 27, 2021, 12:49:37 PM
Hey everyone.

So, I got lucky and found an old wallet.dat file with 650$ worth of Bitcoin in.
But, I haven't played much around with moving coins to different wallets.

So I thought I would just setup a full node and move the coins that way.
And yeah, I'm aware Bitcoin is sitting on the other side of 400GB.
But my question is, downloading the blockchain using the built-in sync seems to be extremely slow.

Is there a trusted source for downloading most of the blockchain?
Potentially via torrenting?

I started at around 10 pm last night, and right now, around 16 hours later, I'm at 48.71%.
Thursday, February 1st, 09:57 am to be precise.

And if I am lucky, I will have the remaining DB in 2 days.
Download speed isn't an issue.

Have an awesome day Tongue

8  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB FPGA/ Small ASIC miners. EU on: January 17, 2021, 02:22:04 PM
Hi,

Like the title says.

I am looking for small ASICs or FPGA miners.

Mainly I am looking for Baikal and other FPGA miners.
But ASICs are OK as well.

Low budget, so I am not looking for the new and best, but just something to play with.

Please leave a comment or send me a message! Smiley
You might have something I find interesting and want to play with!

I also have an Antminer 3+ with a PSU I could trade with Smiley
(PSU worth more than the miner xD)

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Have a nice day.

Regards,

Hamuki

Hey everyone.

I write articles here and there about small projects that I find interesting.
Mainly just to practice my writing skills, as they do need to be polished.

But.. As the title says, are there any small projects you follow that you find interesting?

This can from all sorts of different perspectives, whether it's financial gains, technology development, or simply a meme coin.
Which small projects are worth looking into these days?

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The current level of security in PoS. on: April 26, 2020, 02:10:17 AM
So, I was thinking..

It has been a while since I heard about a PoS coin getting attacked. (Or I might just be out of the loop)

Are PoS coins at a point where we can say they are "hack free" / "unexploitable"?

As an example, 51% attacks are only a thing on PoW coins.

Does anyone know of instances where a PoS coin was attacked or exploited by a vulnerability in their source code/blockchain logic?

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What old coins are you still holding? on: March 22, 2020, 09:42:33 PM
A lot of cryptocurrencies have been created throughout time.

I personally have not held onto any old or even dead blockchains.

But I am working on a new project focused on old blockchains and with the attempt of reviving them.

I wanna ask what everyone here is holding onto.

I am mainly interested in coins from 2014 and older, but anything you deem "old" is welcome! Smiley

I might hit you up if I find your coin interesting Cheesy

One of my new picks is Leacoin because of its age and simple configuration.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / BFL Single not registering with Windows 10? on: February 29, 2020, 11:40:32 AM
Hey,

So, I just got my BFL Single that can do 60GH/s (when its working).

But I have fiddled with it now for more than an hour.
No matter what, I can't get Windows 10 to recognize the device as a USB device that I could then install WinUSB to via zadig.

Whats the most likely cause of this?
Is it broken?
Should I attempt to make it work on Linux?
Any other ideas?

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Show me your rig! on: February 26, 2020, 10:58:10 AM
Hey everyone!

I think its time for a thread where people can show off their miners! Cheesy

I will show images of my own when I get home tonight.

I got a Jalapeno and just received 2 other old miners for me to play with.

What do you mine with? (For profit and for fun) Cheesy

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Blocks rejected when solo mining but accepted on pool? on: February 18, 2020, 10:40:50 PM
Hi Bitcointalk.

So, I got my hands on a good old Butterfly Labs Jalapeño.

It runs at around 8GH/s and its enough to play around with some old dead coins and mine for fun.

I found a coin that I have mined for a few days and today the network hash dropped to a point where it should be easy for me to solo mine it.

So I switched over and started to solo mine, and I did start mining blocks.. But every single one of them got rejected.

This makes no sense to me since Pool mining was working great.

Could it be a problem with my network?
Do I need to port forward the wallet rpc port? Miner issue? (Using cgminer).

Any ideas?
18  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB Old SHA-256 Asics. Anything below 200w power usage. on: February 16, 2020, 02:32:50 PM
Hey everyone,

I am looking for old SHA-256 miners located within the EU.

To be fair, I am looking for anything that runs below 100w from the wall.

I currently own a BFL Jalapeño and 4 335mh/s USB miners.
I am looking to increase the number of mini-miners I have.

Got an old useless miner laying around that runs at 200W or lower?
PM me and lets make a deal!

I am working on a new project where I need as many miners as I can possibly get.

I am located in Denmark.
I will pay the shipping + tip for mining equipment.
