1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Halving is coming, alt season soon? on: April 16, 2024, 09:00:26 AM
The alt season is coming..

But the Halving is first.

What do you think will happen?

My personal bet is a plunge for a couple of days, and then slowly over a few weeks, we will start to see an increase in prices again, as the effect of less BTC being sold from miners.

Im holding most of my crypto in USD, so I can buy the dip.

What about you?

PINCH and PennyPinchers
Revolutionizing Web3 Rewards and Community Engagement

Dive into the innovative world of PINCH, a unique revenue-sharing token, and its companion NFT collection, PennyPinchers.
PINCH stands at the forefront of community-driven value creation, harnessing the power of collective action in airdrop referral campaigns.

By participating in "Proof of Referral" (PoR) campaigns, community members will amplify the impact of airdrops, earning additional rewards through shared referral bonuses.

PINCH's initial distribution model allocates 5% for team development, ensuring sustained growth and innovation.
A significant 95% is dedicated to PoR members, PINCH holders, PennyPinchers NFT owners and partner projects to distribute PINCH.

PennyPinchers NFTs introduce a layer of rarity-based rewards, enhancing the value distribution based on NFT rarity.
But more importantly, also provide exclusive access to collaborating Web3 and Layer 2 airdrops and perks.

Tokenomics of PINCH

PINCH is a deflationary community token, which is burned by using a part of the PoR earnings to buy back PINCH, and burn it.

A total of 100,000,000 PINCH will be minted at launch, and then distributed according to the methods of distribution described below.

  • 30,000,000 for PINCH community airdrops
  • 30,000,000 for Collaboration based airdrops
  • 20,000,000 for Locked liquidity pool
  • 10,000,000 for PINCH quests
  • 5,000,000 for PINCH community fund
  • 5,000,000 for PINCH team
Methods of PINCH Distribution
The PINCH token is to be distributed using the principle of Proof of Referral (*PoR).

We believe that a healthy community should be able to sustain itself.

Community Airdrop Fund
Over a period of 2 years, active users of the PINCH community will receive airdrops from the community airdrop fund.

Collaboration Airdrop Fund
We will actively look for new innovative blockchain focused projects to collaborate with.

PINCH Tokens Utilization
  • Testing DEX functions
  • Swaps
  • Providing liquidity
  • Testing bridge functions
  • Running validator nodes
  • Voting

PINCH tokens are offered as an incentive to participate in testnet operations such as:
  • Testing Web3 based games
  • Alpha/Beta gameplay
  • Stress testing
  • Providing feedback

PennyPinchers NFT Collection
10,000 PennyPincher NFTs will be ready to mint, at the cost of approximately $5 worth of MATIC per mint, excluding network fees.
NFTs are minted with varying levels of rarity, and rewards tailored to each level.

  • Common Pincher, 5000 mints
  • Uncommon Pincher, 2500 mints
  • Rare Pincher, 1500 mints
  • Epic Pincher, 750 mints
  • Legendary Pincher, 250 mints

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / PennyCrypto, a subreddit for low cost coins. on: February 01, 2021, 03:27:25 PM
Hey everyone,

A lot of you might have seen the shenanigans with r/WallStreetBets playing with Gamestop, AMC and some other stocks.
From that, a new influx of users to the crypto world has been created, as a lot of these new investors were introduced to the Dogecoin subreddit.

From the recent hype, a lot of new users have started to look into both penny stocks and low-value cryptocurrencies.

For that reason, I made r/PennyCrypto.
https://www.reddit.com/r/PennyCrypto/

Its a subreddit dedicated to cryptocurrency valued at $1 or less per coin.
This of course does not account for the total market cap of the project.

Any feedback is appreciated.

(If this post is breaking any rules, please delete it. No malicious intent!)

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin cant sync, help! on: January 29, 2021, 12:33:17 PM
Hi everyone.

I am trying to move my dogecoin, but my wallet just doesnt sync.
I have tried everything when it comes to adding a bootstrap (put me 15% forward).
Adding nodes and such.

I even tried to get Multidoge so I could set that up and import my wallet onto that one instead.
But nothing seems to be working, as its own sync mechanism is doing like 1 block every 1 min.
And I have 500/500 Fiber and a nice gaming computer, so that should not be the bottleneck.

Does anyone have some tips or suggestions to how I can sync or in other ways move my coins?

Thank you! Cheesy

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Blockchain Bootstrap? on: January 27, 2021, 12:49:37 PM
Hey everyone.

So, I got lucky and found an old wallet.dat file with 650$ worth of Bitcoin in.
But, I haven't played much around with moving coins to different wallets.

So I thought I would just setup a full node and move the coins that way.
And yeah, I'm aware Bitcoin is sitting on the other side of 400GB.
But my question is, downloading the blockchain using the built-in sync seems to be extremely slow.

Is there a trusted source for downloading most of the blockchain?
Potentially via torrenting?

I started at around 10 pm last night, and right now, around 16 hours later, I'm at 48.71%.
Thursday, February 1st, 09:57 am to be precise.

And if I am lucky, I will have the remaining DB in 2 days.
Download speed isn't an issue.

Have an awesome day Tongue

15  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB FPGA/ Small ASIC miners. EU on: January 17, 2021, 02:22:04 PM
Hi,

Like the title says.

I am looking for small ASICs or FPGA miners.

Mainly I am looking for Baikal and other FPGA miners.
But ASICs are OK as well.

Low budget, so I am not looking for the new and best, but just something to play with.

Please leave a comment or send me a message! Smiley
You might have something I find interesting and want to play with!

I also have an Antminer 3+ with a PSU I could trade with Smiley
(PSU worth more than the miner xD)

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Have a nice day.

Regards,

Hamuki

This can from all sorts of different perspectives, whether it's financial gains, technology development, or simply a meme coin.
Which small projects are worth looking into these days?

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The current level of security in PoS. on: April 26, 2020, 02:10:17 AM
So, I was thinking..

It has been a while since I heard about a PoS coin getting attacked. (Or I might just be out of the loop)

Are PoS coins at a point where we can say they are "hack free" / "unexploitable"?

As an example, 51% attacks are only a thing on PoW coins.

Does anyone know of instances where a PoS coin was attacked or exploited by a vulnerability in their source code/blockchain logic?
