2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: November 28, 2019, 11:43:53 PM
The giant is back in the ring and just like every time, this is going to be a very hyped match when it comes to bets and gambling. The match is taking place in Las Vegas on January 18 next year. My favorite obviously is the Irishman Conor. Who do you think you'd be placing your bets on?

3  Economy / Service Discussion / BTC - BANK - TAP/Card Service? on: November 23, 2019, 11:53:46 AM
Excuse me for the not so descriptive thread title I really don't know how else to put it. I'm looking for a service that converts my BTC to their own service where I can use their service as a virtual debit card or phone NFC Tap. Something like this, I convert my BTC to Paypal and then use Paypal's mobile app to do NFC Tap payments at shops. It'd be great if Paypal's mobile app provided that service but it doesn't. Please share such services with me if you guys are aware of any.
4  Economy / Reputation / BetKing.io hacked? :o on: November 15, 2019, 05:30:28 PM
Apparently, they did!  You can follow the main thread here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5201753.0 As it's self-moderated and Dean is not too keen on sharing the matter with the community, I thought this thread would help. When asked for details by LoyceV, this is the reply he was presented with,

You do not have a balance on the site so it's none of your business and I clearly wouldn't tell you considering you actively tried to stop investors from recovering or making any profit from betking in the first place.
I won't be discussing any details at all of where or how in this forum (the users with largest balance/tokens I can trust may get to know details).
I am only posting this here for users with funds who may have not got the email but might see this.

Ignoring all the ICO and investor crap the service went through recently, it's hard to believe the site actually got hacked. Also, use this thread to request your money if in case your replies are deleted on other thread.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / GitCoin? The project that actually matters! on: November 15, 2019, 10:40:53 AM
Happen to come across this project: https://gitcoin.co I don't know how many of you've heard about it or even if they have introduced themselves on bitcointalk. They're not like your usual typical ICO scam projects. They actually are live and you can use the platform right away! Having said that, that platform is mainly focussed on developers who want to contribute to the Open Source Projects. You can get bounties, badge rewards (what they refer to as Kudos) and contribute in so many other ways! Big names like MetaMask are using them. You rarely come across such good projects where the business model isn't starting a shitcoin or an ICO to make money. I found the project really interesting so I thought of sharing it around. Developer friends will really like it!
6  Economy / Reputation / KILL IT BEFORE IT LAYS EGGS on: July 12, 2019, 02:42:35 AM
Sorry for the over-exciting title. A new token is announced and they have seemed to have hired an army of shills/thread bumpers.

Ann Thread : Cryptoknowmics

great..I hope good development project

good project

this is so cool amazing project sure it will thrive in the comming year, a decentralized media portal which attends to every aspect of the crypto universe it is realy big boooooom
in cryto space.,news cryto wallet,.and exchange all in one   wooow this is the one.

I know I could report the accounts and stuff but just creating this thread to spread awareness to stay away from investing in their IEO. Afterall, no legitimate service would hire shills to vouch for them.
7  Economy / Reputation / Is this worth a negative feedback? [Community View - icosonar] on: June 08, 2019, 01:39:10 PM
I came across this member icosonar whose contribution to the forum is zero but only spams their service thread whenever someone creates a service requirement thread.

Most of their posts are along these lines

I can help you for the development of exchange platform. Already developed exchange and ICOs previously. Let's connect on telegram @KnightThunder for the further discussion.

I have already developed gambling website previously. I can help you with development. Add me on telegram @KnightThunder for the further discussion.

are you still looking for a developer who can help you with your cryptocurrency project? If yes please ping me on the telegram @KnightThunder for the further discussion.

We are a group of Blockchain developers and can help you to develop your mentioned functionalities. Please send me your contact details for the further discussion or add me on telegram @KnightThunder

and they go on 14+  pages of their posts...

When I was looking to hire a developer myself, I asked them to show their previous work and they never replied.

I am a mobile developer having 5+years of experience in building responsive and intuitive mobile design. I can develop an application as per your requirements. Please share your project details with me. I am ready to sign NDA as well. Let's connect.
Show me a mobile application you've developed using KotLin please

For now, I've left them negative feedback for spamming services and an unreliable developer. Should I keep the feedback or remove it? I feel these scums live off project owners upfront money and have no real potential to launch any projects or write two decent lines of code for that matter.
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Data on Blockchain [Question] on: June 01, 2019, 01:28:05 PM
Just wondering how feasible it is to show data on the blockchain along with a transaction? Like a transaction with an item name? For instance, imagine I'm creating a smart contract using Ethereum and with every transaction I want the item name to persist in the blockchain. Is that even possible? This is not like naming an address or something but actual text data with a transaction that is visible on the block explorer.
9  Economy / Web Wallets / Worst Online Crypto Wallet Ever! [Poll] on: May 17, 2019, 06:41:17 PM
Just wanted to know what the fellow members think about the worst bitcoin/crypto related online wallets. Personally, all of them suck since one shouldn't be using an online wallet at all but my recent experience with Blockchain.com's online wallet has been devastating. I wish I could show the results of this thread to one of the developers of the respective wallet. Vote for your preferences and if you want me to add another option then I'd do that as well.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is the ICO culture dead already? on: February 02, 2019, 02:40:07 PM
Forgive me if I’m living under a cave, but I haven’t heard any news about the promising ICO’s in a long time. Maybe you bounty hunters will have a better idea. Apart from the scams posted for the fake ICO’s, I don’t see any interesting projects like Dao, Liks or Waves these days. If you have any such projects to share, please list them down below.
14  Economy / Service Discussion / LocalBitcoins Scheduled Maintenance on Monday [Don't Freak Out] on: January 19, 2019, 02:30:58 PM
Just posting here because many of you traders will freak out once you open LBC on Monday and notice the site is down. I also assume there would be a number of threads popping here regarding the same. According to LBC, they're carrying scheduled maintenance on Monday from 7AM UTC for 3 hours. Services should resume normally after then.

Cheers
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Anybody Selling Grin yet? on: January 18, 2019, 07:20:41 PM
I hope I don't have to explain what Grin is. I tried looking to purchase from a few famous exchanges but none of them that I use are trading the coin currently. That's why I'm seeking out help from the community to hook me up with a few Grins if you're a holder already. It's obvious I won't deal without an escrow. Drop your comments below or send me a message with the rates. I'll contact the right person with my offer.
16  Economy / Reputation / A very organised petty scam [I almost fell for it] on: January 10, 2019, 05:04:17 PM
To understand the nature of this scam, you have to refer to this facebook post by Blockchain.com's official facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/blockchain/photos/a.687327834633133/2262695280429706/?type=3&theater

Under the comments section, you have this post then

It's very easy to think that it's the actual account which is posting the airdrop comment and people have actually fell for it. If you click on the page that has posted the airdrop information, it takes you away from the original blockchain.com's facebook page to this https://www.facebook.com/Bl%D0%BEckch%D0%B0in-365157564266368/?rc=p

These are two different pages one being run by a scammer. Be careful out there folks, even official blockchain.com's account didn't bother removing that comment.

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction or share your config files so I can replicate them and use the same setup. Any leads will be appreciated Thanks!
19  Economy / Reputation / A Selfish Noob Campaign Manager on: December 15, 2018, 05:26:28 PM
Just came across this newly created signature campaign: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5085298.0

The campaign manager Registered on the Forum Today at 06:49:16 AM (Most likely an alt of an existing member)

What caught my attention is the terms of the campaign and conditions

Quote
1] I am not representing edgeless.io and running this campaign as they hire me.
2] No funds are under escrow for this campaign. Please understand this and enroll on your responsibility.

The question is: Why would you accept running a campaign when you know that the campaign participants might not get paid? And he obviously will! Knowing this and not risking his own account, he created an alt to run this campaign.

Tag his ass and the company he represents https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718384.0
20  Economy / Reputation / VegasCasino.io Shill + Merit Abuser [Updated DT Needed] on: December 08, 2018, 04:16:55 PM
The account in Question : kdon55
Check the last posts of this person and you'd find something interesting. He is shilling for the casino in all of his posts. The casino is a proven scam.

Topic : ICO New format scam

It's really painful that despite the trust that was given to them. They decided to pay back in this way. It's really not funny loosing your hard earned money. Many at times, I often wonder what goes in the heart of those scammers.  They are so very heartless. One way or the other,  this their get rich quick syndrome would catch up with them and they would pay for the menaces they have caused. There is a need to sanitize the blockchain system. There is a need to get credible and reliable review/police system. I have often think about creating or inventing that.  A system that cannot be bought. A system that gives the people the much desired justice and protection in the system to rid it of scammers.  That way,  people would be saved from a lot of scam related problems.  I myself have been scammed and I know how it felt like. I encountered that problem in one fake crypto based casino. I wasn't happy about it until I was able to get a good one which I use till date. . From their bonuses,  if you can bet well, you should make good profits. Create a winning strategy. Maybe, sure odds with large stake on any reputable and good online crypto based casino,  maybe vegascasino. They are good. They exist as an online betting platform with limitless and unending bounds in casino betting. Features includes poker,  slot, blackjack, table games,  roulettes etc. Payment is in BTC, a cryptocurrency and this helps to simplify payments. They have multiple withdrawal option which includes cheap,  bank transfer etc. They offer juicy deposit bonuses and have a good customer support service system. The user interface is also excellent. With that, there is still some happiness and hope left that most people on the system are not scammers but some few who are not good people. Therefore, We should work together to discourage scammers and encourage good projects and platforms

Topic : Invest in ICO or buy BTC?

One can invest in bitcoin but not ico for now.  It's still a risky move to invest in something that is not fine at the moment. Maybe you should wait. Investment should be to get profit and gains and not the opposite. If you are really interested in investing.  You can  try betting. This is it's season. Just get good ones that offer huge deposit bonuses. From the bonuses,  if you can bet well, you should make good profits. One can play almost as high as he/she wants but there is a certain restriction in place to ensure responsible gambling. With those bonuses and a good betting skills and strategy alongside discipline,  you can get something tangible from there too. Don't be grey and don't bet with desperation and only your instincts . It might not turn out well if you do. You should only do this if you are familiar with betting and casino and you like it or you are good at it

Topic : Even people in here now give up on Bitcoin

Because of the fact that you predicted the continuous fall of the value of bitcoin doesn't means that you are an authority that has to be followed in any advice you give. Men,  we are in a free world. We can do as we like with our money. There is no body that has not fallen Victim of one or two types of mistakes in investments . More over,  this was not even a mistake,  the market went down below peoples expectation. I would still suggest that people should still hold their coins and wait. While waiting,  there could be other source of investment one can do with the bitcoins to increase the amount and that is betting. Look for a good crypto based casino and try to become good at betting at any particular game you like. You have to set aside that amount for the betting and be going at it, one step at a time. Create a winning strategy. Maybe, sure odds with large stakes. Or get a good online crypto based casino,  maybe vegascasino. It might not turn out well if you do. You should only do this if you are familiar with betting and casino and you like it or you are good at it

And he got a merit for this post

Topic : Should ICO's be regulated

What a nice idea. How I wish it could be  implemented.  That would reduce the risk associated with investing in the blockchain system,  help forestall crime/scam and ensure increased growth and value of the tokens/coins. If ICO are regulated,  it would help to promote the blockchain technology.  There is a need to sanitize the crypto system from ICOs to all crypto based investment and platforms.  There was a time I met with a mishap when trying to use a crypto betting platform,  they promised a lot of bonuses but never gave it to me.  I wasn't happy considering that I have hoped and planned for the bonuses and this resulted into a setback in my plans. All that was solved when I got to know of vegasonline . This platform is a crypto based online casino with a large provision of games ranging from dice,  slots,  blackjack, pokers to table games.  There is a high chance of making huge profit if you know how to bet. They place certain restriction and supervision on customers account to ensure responsible gambling and  they are always eager to attend to any problem. They offer juicy deposit bonuses ranging from 100% to 25% on deposits. One can make good profits from them this season.

Can someone ban this idiot already?
