Mt. Gox creditors may finally start seeing their bitcoins this month

Mt. Gox creditors may start seeing their first bitcoin payments this month as the window for repayments is set to open.

Creditors are expected to receive early repayments from March 10 onward, while the deadline for such payments to be completed is September 30, according to a January statement. This is for the first tranche of repayments — including early lump sum payments and intermediate payments — with further amounts set to come later.

“Well, for myself, I had pretty much written off the Bitcoin I still had on Mt. Gox in 2014 as a loss, so philosophically anything I get back now is a bonus to cold store,” said Blockstream CEO Adam Back, who is a Mt. Gox creditor, via Telegram.

“It has stretched on for many more years than anyone expected, and so it will be welcome I am sure by any creditors to finally get paid,” he added.

It might be stupid to ask a question like this, but I can think that it's a fact that happens to most people here.

I sometimes laugh when reflecting on fill my brain on bitcoin which has taught me a lot about economics, investing, currency trading and many other things. I analyze, do research, predict and talk about economics which was never really my subject in school or college. My experience and that of others have taught me many things, my interest in reading has increased and my curiosity about the situation and development of the world economy has made me gain knowledge and these are some of the things that make me think that, there are many people here also seem to be the same because in fact they are is an economist without a degree.

We all know that almost the entire world is currently experiencing variable inflation, and my country is no exception. Almost all goods prices have gone up, financial stability has been disrupted and most of us have had to incur additional costs to pay our bills due to rising tariffs and taxes.

At the same time I am still thinking about investing even though I am really having a hard time achieving financial stability at the moment. If previously I could save 50% of my total income for investment then for now only 25% seems difficult. If you are also experiencing this condition, then I have a few questions to answer.

• Will you continue to invest even if it is only 10%-20% of your total monthly income?
• How do you achieve financial stability during this inflation?

Share some of your thoughts, I think it would be good to consider especially as long as this kind of condition persists for a long time.

I honestly feel that the sentence above is one of the saddest sentences to hear when someone starts talking about their economic condition. It is clear that everyone is obliged to work to support himself and his family, but when they neglect investment then I believe that these people will never get rich except by a miracle of God.

Investing I mean not just crypto investing, but any investment he likes. This allows one to make good profits in the future. That is, the more assets that can be invested, the greater the bright hope for the future. I've heard stories about investing $1000 in crypto making someone a billionaire before (in our fiat currency), and it's a fact to say that don't expect to get rich without investing unless you are the heir to rich parents.

Since 2014 until now I have noticed that bitcoin and the crypto industry has grown very rapidly where currently its market capitalization is a testament to the successful growth of this industry.

I have been here and around people who support this growing industry such as traders, investors and bounty hunters and others. One fact about these people is that 90% (maybe more) of the people I know who support this industry are not formal workers who usually work as government employees, but they are non-formal workers working part time in some real businesses. There are only 2-3 out of 20 people (not the actual number) who are formal workers as government employees who are currently still trading crypto at my place to this day while the others are non-formal workers. What about those you know in your country, does this happen in your country and the people you know? I don't think there are any restriction governing formal workers involved in this industry as investors or traders.
