1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / LTC Mining Help on: January 17, 2013, 07:10:36 PM
Just recently I switched over to a 5870 for mining and gaming. I'm currently mining LTC but only getting 300 khash/s, which I think I should be able to get over 400...I've tried overclocking with Sapphire Trixx as that is what I was using previously, but all it does is crash the card so I'm using the program that came with it. It will only let me overclock to 900 core and 1300 memory which I think is part of the problem...I'm currently running Reaper at worksize 256, aggression 18, threads_per_gpu 2, sharethreads 32, lookup_gap 2, gpu_thread_concurrency 5632. Any recommendations to get more out of my card?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Missing bitcoin transactions in Bitcoin-QT on: November 30, 2012, 02:35:23 AM
So I think I may royally screwed up and need some help to possibly fix this...Recently I downloaded B-QT to my E: drive as it is the bigger of my two hard drives (my C: is a 60 GB SSD which I use pretty much just to boot Windows from). However, every single time I would start the wallet, it would download and store the blockchain to my C: which does not have the required space to download it. Every single time the blockchain would try to download, it would fill up my C: and never finish. I decided that I would start moving the files from my AppData folder on my C: to my E:. Essentially I thought I could download the blockchain piece by piece and then move it over every single time my C: would fill up. Unfortunately this is where my problem comes in...the address that I was using to receive bitcoins was changed repeatedly each time I moved the folder from AppData to my Bitcoin folder on my E:. Since the wallet never finished downloading, those bitcoins I fear I sent are gone since the address currently is wrong on Bitcoin-QT. Is there any way to retrieve those bitcoins or are they gone forever? I really have no idea where to begin so any help would be greatly appreciated, assuming it can be fixed...

Hey guys, I'm a newbie here so take it easy on me Tongue. Before I list these on eBay, I was just seeing if there would be any interest here. I don't particularly want to list on eBay do to the fees, and I've posted multiple times on Craigslist, with no responses :/. I bought these less than a month ago, but I've decided to go a different route i.e. different cards/setup. I have pics of items (however, I have no idea how to post them, so if someone could help me with that, I'd appreciate it) as well as an eBay account with positive seller feedback. I know this particular forum is littered with scams which unfortunately doesn't help the people who are legitimately trying to make a deal Undecided. I've always used PayPal (obviously for eBay purposes), but I'd be willing to accept whatever people are comfortable in sending. I'm open to offers (however, I'd rather not accept bitcoins, but will if the offer is enticing enough) Smiley

Hello all! New to the forum and I was curious about something. I've been a Windows user my entire life, so I have very little knowledge of Linux. However, having browsed the forum, I've decided to switch over once I get my miner up and running. My question is, which version of Linux should be used for a headless setup? I know there are many different versions of Linux, but I haven't the slightest clue if you can use any version or if there is a particular one that is most popular/user friendly, especially for someone who has never used Linux before...
