1  Economy / Reputation / dkbit98 is Abusing DT power on: November 09, 2020, 03:27:30 PM
It wasn't very long that I created a topic about Bitbns exchange, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5284337.msg55450330#msg55450330 , and then this guy dkbit98 Got mad when I said you can just move on if you don't like the thread and he/she acused me that I have bought this account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5284337.msg55451039#msg55451039 , I tried to neglect it and don't open scan acusaition againt him/her because of the false accuse , but he/she gave me a nutral feedback and opened a scam acusaition against me which he/she couldn't prove it in here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5284420.msg55453037#msg55453037 , I tried to neglect it too but then I just noticed that he/she has turned that nutral feedback to a negative trust because of Personal animosity it seems like He/She is abousing his/her DT power, Doesn't care about the post history and about how helpful a person could be to the forum if he/she doesn't like the person would give negative feedback , Is that because this guy wants to give more negative feedbacks so that fewer people can join the bounties? or because thinks that he/she got the power to remove everyone that doesn't like? Do the right people get the DT power or just some newbies with higher ranks?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Uniswap has made it easier for scammers? on: November 07, 2020, 01:31:43 PM
We all have heard some of the Uniswap pull-rugs recently, there are some thread on here you can see, I made on of them as https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5281309.0 , but the list is going to be infinite if I want to add some of them daily, Usually, we hear big scams but a lot of them never mention as they are so small in comparison with those big ones, DEX was a good idea and neat but UNISWAP and Bounce.finance these days have been a reason of so many pull rugs, I don't remember I hear so many scams like now before, do you agree with me?

I think these scams could affect on crypto reputation, as many newbies, especially reach ones would like to make a house on firm and safe ground, I wonder how we can help to reduce scams on DEXes?I know with code analysis we can guess that more likely but what about those ones who don't know the coding that much? how we can find out potential scams before they pull the rug?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Safeguarding funds , your funds on exchanges are safe? on: November 03, 2020, 09:20:31 AM
Many of you are wondering if your funds on exchanges are safe (SAFU anyone?). Here are some tips for you, and how I manage my own funds.
Time for a short thread
Exchanges act like banks with the ability to buy and sell tokens and coins. The simplest example you could think of is you can go to your local bank, and exchanging USD for your local currency. Now, what happens if the bank is on hold? (Vacation or completely shut down?)
You end up waiting until the issue is resolved. Banks have reserves in order to cover their client's funds. Insurance funds that exchanges operate are more or less the same.
But you wouldn't trust the fund to be able to cover everyone now, would you?
Welcoming cold storage. What is cold storage? Cold storage is a hardware (there's also the paper version) wallet that you own and is inaccessible by exchanges.
No one can access it but you, think of it as your physical wallet that you hold cash in. Ledger is one example of cold storage,TrustWalletApp is considered a hot wallet (they operate online). The way it goes is that you transfer the amount of your portfolio there that you do not want to trade.

What's the best way to maximize your fund's security?

Well, for starters, no one should go "all in" on a trade. You always need to keep liquidity on the side and avoid heavy losses if a trade goes south. You also want to avoid any shenanigan that might happen to your favorite exchange, and you caught in the middle.
Do some research online, purchase a hardware wallet, I personally use ledger Nano X, I've heard of other good alternatives. It's a matter of choice.
While I do not recall the names, a quick google search should do the trick.
First thing you need to do after you get it is transferring the amount you're absolutely not okay to lose (mine hovers around 80% of my entire portfolio, hence I trade with 20% of my funds only).

You own the keys, no one can take them from you.

The better question is, how do you consistently manage your funds? Well, if you had a successful trade, then you would transfer a part of your profits to the wallet. I usually transfer 50% of the total profit on a weekly basis and increase my trading account with the rest
So let's say your entire fund is 5000$. You would transfer 4000$ to your wallet, and trade with 1000$.If you made 500$ on a trade with the 1000$, you would then transfer 250$ and trade now with 1250$.
Easier and safer than most think. No one is responsible for your own funds but you. Trusting exchanges isn't the smart move, otherwise, why are you on board with this entire decentralized finance train? Might as well stick to your local bank.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Don't get scammed with shitcoin investing _ step guide! on: October 29, 2020, 06:57:19 PM
1. Pay attention to the mint() function, its implementation may allow printing tokens at any time.

2. Liquidity Locked does not always guarantee security and safety, not all tokens that create liquidity can be locked, pay attention to using UniCrypt.

3. Lack of a temporary blockade for private sales, pre-sales usually results in quick sales of tokens as soon as they appear on the exchange, read and ask if there is such a blockade.

4. Read the source code, a properly prepared smart contract can prevent you from selling, you can only be allowed to buy - usually for ETH.

5. Pay attention to the number and occurrence of tokens - premined, smart contract programmers can have a significant impact on the price of a token.

6. Pay attention and often verify which contracts you have given access to your addresses, apply the one-time shitcoin address rule, think how much you would earn on UNI with this approach.

7. Check out services such as http://revoke.cash and http://approved.zone to cancel access to your funds for selected smart contracts.

8. Watch out for scams in the form of clones, forks, similar names - make sure you have a good address for your smart contract.

9. Track the project whose tokens you have bought often get errors in the smart contract itself, which are used by people who only care about this.

10. Pay attention to who you are talking to on Telegram - impersonating, not using presale bots - scamming.

5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Bitbns - The Scam Exchange on: October 25, 2020, 01:54:20 PM
Website: Bitbns.com
Telegram: @Bitbns
CEO of Bitbns: Gaurav Dhahake
CEO Telegram: @g_thedifferentone

The volume on the exchange is fake.

In this Twitter thread, they used their own employees to tweet as genuine people.

Putting user funds into other businesses.

Promoting themselves as a get rich quick scheme.

Absolute disregard for user privacy which was shared with others. They also banned anyone who had concerns about it.

🗄 Bitbns does not utilize cold storage to store your funds.

If you make any withdrawals you will get the withdrawal from this address only.

Admin in chat promised a 4x return on buying BNS (was said in different languages).

More profits promised to consumers.

They lied to investors about an Amazon integration per the roadmap.

Many users are now reporting withdrawal issues.

You will notice that this address has received USDT from Binance. The owners have transferred this directly from Binance to the Bitbns hot wallet.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple Board Member, Trump Associate Arrested on: October 23, 2020, 08:13:17 PM
Ken Kurson, a Ripple board member, was arrested today on cyberstalking charges. He is in federal custody.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A huge NFT sale of Batman artwork has sold for $200,000 on MakersPlace. on: October 18, 2020, 06:27:02 AM
"A collection of Batman art, underpinned by verifiably unique, non-fungible cryptocurrencies, just sold for a combined 540.86 ETH, or about $200,000. The art was auctioned on NFT marketplace MakersPlace.

The artwork comes from DC comic artist José Delbo and Trevor Jones, a crypto artist. There are five pieces in the collection, all animations or PNG files of the Dark Knight. "

It seems like NFT has been popular in the superhero world and it's just the beginning!

And I think we would see and hear more about NFT coins and tokens like $Sand ...
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / List of Defi scams on: October 11, 2020, 07:01:19 AM
https://amplyfi.money/: Rug pulled after collecting 2,500 ETH from investors. Their social media and websites are gone

Beer Garden Finance: Founder holds over 50% of the token supply in his personal wallet. When our community asked for more details such as a github link for the project, or timelocks for the tokens they were banned from the Telegram group.

Burn Vault Finance ($BFV): Allegedly rug pulled. Their Telegram and social media no longer exist.

CBDAO ($BREE): The project had a presale for $SBREE tokens which would be swapped for $BREE. One of the admin wallets exploited a backdoor in the SBREE token contract, minted 50,000 SBREE, converted it to BREE and sold it on the market, pushing down the price of BREE at the expense of other holders. The 50,000 BREE was sold for under 200 ETH.

Degenballz: staking may steal 1% of your LP tokens.

Emerald Mine (EMD): User tokens worth nearly USD$2.5mil that were supposedly locked under a smart contract were moved to another account. Fortunately, cryptocurrency exchange ChangeNow managed to stop the sale of 135,020 EOS. However, this only represents a small fraction of the total amount stolen.

http://lv.finance/: Falsified audit results, after investors deposited their funds in they found they were unable to withdraw. The team has disappeared.

Minions Farm: Has cute Minions but will access all your assets when you connect your wallet to the Minions Wallet site.

https://steaks.finance/: Developers apparently had trouble interacting with their own timelock. Though some consider it may be due to a problem with their code rather than ill-intentions.

http://tomatoes.finance/: Hacker triggered simple permission granting and withdrew tokens.

UniCat ($MEOW): Back door in smart contracts allowed UniCat to keep control over users’ tokens even after they were withdrawn from the pool. Around USD$200,000 worth of crypto has supposedly been stolen.

Unirocket ($URCKT): Apparently rug-pulled, cannot be located on social media.

http://yfdex.finance/: Project promoted themselves on Twitter for 2 days, took a total of USD$20mil of investor funds and absconded.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CFTC Charges BitMEX on: October 01, 2020, 04:08:25 PM
CFTC Charges BitMEX Owners with Illegally Operating a Cryptocurrency Derivatives Trading Platform and Anti-Money Laundering Violations.

Among those charged are company owners Arthur Hayes, Ben Delo, and Samuel Reed, who operate BitMEX’s platform through a maze of corporate entities.

The U.S. Attorney for the District of New York indicted Hayes, Delo, and Reed, along with Gregory Dwyer, on federal charges of violating the Bank Secrecy Act and conspiracy to violate the Bank Secrecy Act.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Trustswap is Not to be Trusted on: October 01, 2020, 07:35:19 AM

Trustswap is getting into liquidity locking while their liquidity isn't even locked.

25% of the liquidity has been slowly pulled out.

No burn address was found. So it's not a burn thing.

Drop in price coincides with every LP token pull and sell.

The reason they funnel the LP tokens and funds between so many wallets is to make it harder to trace and follow.

2- wednesday from 4-8 EST time you are in a ring game the whole time.
3- THIS IS RSVP so YOU HAVE TO REPLY TO THIS EMAIL and let me know that you are RSVP.
4- since this is RSVP and our attempt is to make this a weekly attempt OUR FIRST WEEK we will do 3-8 EST So I have one hour to see who is in the RING games so I can get them pizza in that hour and make sure delivered. Once I know and trust the players from this week(which I already do in some cases) and they commit to playing every week the pizza will automaticly be there each week since I know your playing. Even if your in a foreign country as long as I can buy a reload Credit Card I will buy the pizza! You play and I will pay for your food LIKE A CASINO!
5-Get me the RSVP ONLY 20 PLAYERS will be allowed for this 6 month PROMO so get your RSVP in right not. If you are not seen in a RING game at any time (not talking about disconnects or goofy stuff like that) your promo will be killed and you will not qualify for the promo.
6- everything is subject for change since this is our first trying this, but those of you that know me (bigfish), know that Im a fish of my word and I do what it takes to get the job done. Basically we want to find top 20 players ready to play larger limit games on these hours and hope to grow the larger games.

7- follow the rules.

Sooo… Let's here the good, bad and ugly now Huh

Hello

I have noticed ALOT of people who are buying and selling Bitcoins and TONS of sites are not popping up and I need to make some money and I would like to get some advice on how I can run a bitcoin service SITE and SERVICE? Here are my questions IF ANYONE can please answer them. Each answer I'm willing to give you 5mbc on my poker site FYI IF you wish!

1-Where do all the Bitcoin BROKERS buy coins from ? COINBASE? PRIVATE PARTY? I have paid as much as 11% !!!!
2- What is a fair exchange rate where I would always have business
3-I'm thinking of advertising on all the local sites where there is ESCROW involved such as the few sites here and localbitcoin.com AND I would also have my own site for the clients that have dealt with me before. What do you think?
4-Any other advice or business plan from people who have gone through this route will be much appreciate.
5-Need info on cold storage bc I don't know how to cold store as I have seen them but seems SOO complicated. Can My E wallet Really get hacked? Do others get hacked??? Any advice on this.
6-I know people make money on the fluctuation of the Bitcoin BUT I want to make money on the trading it. People are doing this like 100 times a day and making 10% a TRADE!

THANK YOU
