1  Economy / Gambling / Moneypot team? Where are you guys? on: January 09, 2016, 08:49:36 AM
This post is more of a inquiry rather than a complaint...

Since the transition of ownership, there where several changes that affected some of the apps. Others may not notice it, but as a dev, this is very noticable..

One very noticeable, is your socketpot. The websocket that handles your chat.. Not every owner might notice it, but your socketpot has been failing to upgrade to a websocket, and it falls down to a polling protocol. Tho this is not a big concern, this beats the whole purpose of a websocket.. All this happened after you guys ran the socketpot api via cloudflare.. Cloudflare doesnt fully support websockets unless you pay a hefty amount.. So basically for now, cloudflare kills websockets. i have reported this issue, but still no action taken..

Why is this a concern? By definition, Polling is a server connection, just like a normal client-server request, and keeps that connection for short time period, during that time, the server/client can receive data. The client needs to reconnect periodically due to timeouts. Request using this are treated by the server like a normal http request or ajax. A Websocket on the other hand creates a tcp connection to the server and keeps that connection open as long as needed or until closed by the server or client. And during this connection, the client and the server can exchange information in almost at real-time manner. This is why websockets are very useful specially to chat server where in updates or replies happens in a real-time manner.

One more noticeable change is your 2fa.. this past days, when i try to login,it keeps saying i entered wrong codes, tho it is clearly correct, i have tried to do the same with mp.bustabit.com and i get no errors at all.. So what i did was just keep trying until it lets me in.. But today, another change was made, you now lock user accounts that tries to enter 2fa multiple times.. I know this is for security concern, bur have you checked on why the user keeps entering wrong codes? Maybe, its not the users fault after all?

Continuing with that,so yes,my account got locked. Another noticeable change was the lack of support.. Before, we can talk to ryan in real time whenever he is on via skype or slack.. but now after emails, i git no response. there's literally no one in-charge for support.

Just my observations,
-uni

3  Bitcoin / Project Development / ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪Looking for Fundings/Investors for a Project on: December 16, 2015, 06:23:33 PM
I currently run and own http://uni-games.com its a new gambling site with big potential. The site is made from scratch by me, unlike other moneypot sites that rely on untitled-dice script.

We opened up our Beta last Dec. 8, and since then we already have about 98.9 BTC Wagered, and we are currently ranked 11th on all moneypot apps, and all of that in just 1 week and only having dice as our game. https://www.moneypot.com/full-stats.json

People ask me why moneypot, why don't i just host a bankroll? First reason is, moneypot have a much bigger bankroll, second, i want to earn the trust of the players before opening a self hosted game, and i can achieve this by going with moneypot since i don't handle the bankroll.

So if im with moneypot, why ask for investors? This weekend, ill be releasing two new games, Unijack(blackjack), Uniflip(coinflip) games, and both are self hosted bankroll, and not tied with moneypot. My plans for the site is to be able to make two versions of each game, one with moneypot, and one with a hosted bankroll. Each with different advantages and disadvantages. Bitcoin gambling is only at its early stage, and Bigger gaming companies are starting to over take this industry, and because of this freelancers and independent programmers are getting stepped on. I want to build this site from ground up which will lead to stronger foundation, I want people to understand that even independent programmers can have a piece of this industry. Like i always say to my close friends, 'even if i have to drag my site by my neck, i'd do it, and ill get to the top eventually oneway or another.

This is not a loan, therefor no collateral is stated in here. This is a private investment offer, details can be discussed on pm, with the complete details of the offer.
This is open only on a limited time, and for serious investors, meaning if i think the total amount privately invested is enough then this offer will be closed.

6  Economy / Lending / Need a quick loan of 1BTC with Collateral. on: November 16, 2015, 03:57:28 AM
Hi there, this is my first time to ask for a loan, so please bare with me, as i just need this loan very urgently.

Requested Amount: 1 BTC

Repayment Amount: 1.1 BTC

Collateral: My Purse.io account with a balance of 1.3764619 in Escrow, which should be cleared within the next 24hours.

Date repayment is to be made: Within 24 hours or as soon as the funds gets cleared on purse.io.

BTC address to fund the loan to: 1UniBRgb1QYyvMmm6VMFyutZfPoZgPUXL

Reason: I am out of town at the moment for the next few days, and i purposely and mistakenly left my trezor at home for the reason of not getting tempted to gamble while im out of town, and i urgently need the loan to pay off some online invoices that only accepts btc as payment and is about to expire today.
I was expecting the funds on purse.io to be cleared today to cover up for that, but sadly, the delivery failed today as it is sunday, and the business address was close. You can check all the details on my purse.io history.

Only for trusted lenders. Thanks.
7  Bitcoin / Electrum / Lost ~5.256BTC on Electrum wallet file. Any help would be appreciated. on: October 12, 2015, 04:19:16 PM
I just lost approx. 5.256BTC on my Electrum wallet. How?

First, I use the older version which is electrum 1.9.8.

My default_wallet file is getting bigger and slower because of multiple txs and addresses, so i decided to create a new wallet and send my btc there.. So here is the detailed description of what happened.

1. I opened two Electrum programs. Lets call it Elec1 and Elec2.

2. They both will open the default_wallet file. So i see my bitcoins on both Electrum.

3. On Elec2, I clicked New/Restore, It will open a save file dialog. I wanted my New wallet to be the default_wallet when it opens. So on the save file dialog, I made a backup of the old default_wallet by copying and pasting it. Then i deleted the default_wallet.

4. I named my new wallet as default_wallet, and click save.

5. After going trough the process of creating wallet, i finally created my new wallet.

6. I copied one of the new address on my new wallet, and using Elec1, I sent my bitcoin to that new address.Everything went well, I received my bitcoins on the new wallet address.

7. My Elec2 got stuck on synchronizing, So to be able to test my new wallet, i took the private key of the address that got my bitcoins, and took another address from the list, and sent my bitcoins using coinb.in. It went fine and smoothly, i got my bitcoins on the other address.

8. I then closed Elec1.. And this is where the problem occurred.

9. My Elec2, was still stuck on synchronizing, and every time i get this issue, i just open another wallet file, then go back and open the default wallet again.

10.  So i opened another wallet file(not the default_wallet), Then i went back and opened default_wallet again.. And to my surprise! This is is the old default wallet. It has my old addresses. And it does not contain any of the new addresses or my bitcoins.

What happened was, When i closed Elec1, it overwrite the default_wallet file containing my new addresses.

And sadly, i did not also backup my new seed..

I have read before that it is possible to get the master private key of the wallet if i have one of the private key of its child and the master public key. But i only have the private key of the child and not the master public key. I'm not sure if this is the same case, but any help would be appreciated.

There's nothing that would make as happier than seeing how the website becomes one of the most respected bitcoin gambling website. All developing job is already done. Day after day the website is being better positioned in Google and will have even more traffic. The site has a huge potential and it just has begun.

VERIFICATION

SECRET KEYS

In order to ensure that there is no way for the system to change the outcome of a draw, the secret keys used are decided ahead of time. They are not released right away, since they could be used to win draws unfairly. However, the hash of the keys are released before the draws. After the draws, the secret keys are released and users can verify that were provably fair.

HASHES

The system has a file of the hash keys that will be used for future draws. You will be able to check it online.

SECRET KEYS VERIFICATION

So that is all well and good for the hashes but those are just hashes, not the actual secrets used. After a draw has occurred the system will release the secret used. Then you can verify that the hash of the secret matches the published hash in the hash file. This demonstrates that the system used the secret it promised it would use.

LUCKY NUMBERS

This is how a draw is executed:

Resulting String = hmac_sha512(secret key, bitcoin_block_hash)

That is, the Secret Key is used as the key to an HMAC_SHA512(key, message) function. The message portion of this function (bitcoin_block_hash) is the hash of a bitcoin block chosen pseudo-randomly from 1 to max bitcoin blocks height. In order to calculate the lucky numbers, Hexadecimal Digits from the above HMAC Output are converted to Binary String. Starting from the beginning of the Binary String, 6 Binary Digits are being taken and transformed to decimal. As 6 Binary digits are taken, numbers can be 1-64 (0-63 plus 1). The numbers higher than 50 are ignored and the next 6 binary digits are taken until 2 numbers from 1-50 are obtained. After that, 3 binary digits are taken twice to obtain the 1-8 (0-7 plus 1) stars.

If the 128 HEX HMAC String is not long enough (if a 51-64 number has been obtained in every of the 6 binay digits strings used) another bitcoin block will be pseudo-randomly chosen, although this is very very improbable because there are 84 possible 6 digit long binary strings to be used.

You can verify a draw in an integrated web application.
